I love how clustered embellishments look on a layout but when I try this technique I quickly become overwhelmed! How do you know which embelishments to use where in the cluster to achieve the overall beautiful affect so many achieve?

I'd love some advice for this too. I seem to be fine doing the background, picture, title and journalling but then i just get completely stuck trying to make my pages seem less plain.

But I'll pass the message on to the scrapbooker behind the mask and see if she has any further thoughts on the subject!

Just me in MI

I struggle with this as well. When I see it done it makes sense to me but, when I go through my stash I never seem to think I have the right combination of sizes of die cuts stickers and labels that will work for the layout I am working on. II.e. i have a few small square embelisments or tags but they are all roughly the same size, or i feel i need something rounded or a doily to build off of that i dont have etc. I always think I must be missing things that I need to buy more of!

Thanks all ....I agree with Lisaj873..have a hard time picking out the right items from my stash and positioning to achieve the best combination. Maybe just over thinking it. GG asked for questions on her facebook site and this is the first that came to mind.

I look at all the amazing pages where scrappers master layering their embellishments, and it looks so good, when I start layering things it just looks like a pile of stuff... and then I go shopping for more "stuff" because I am sure I do not have the right thing to make my layers work. If that makes any sense? Glitter Girl we need your help!!

I usually don't cluster, but what I've noticed watching all the Glitter Girl videos so far, when she does more than one cluster she makes sure to "balance" three sets of clusters by making sure all three sets have some elements in common.
When I do make a cluster, it's because there's a place on the page that works for me to have more than one embellishment. I am very particular about what the embellishments should be, but when I find several that work and there's room, that's liberating to me.

Loved this video!
Just one question, though.....I loved the font of the sticker letters she used for her title. I'm wondering if there is a similar font that can be downloaded from the internet. Any font queens looking at this thread that could please help?
