While I'm somewhat happy with this 2-pg layout from my baby shower last year, I feel like it needs stuff...I am just blocked on what to put on it that won't over power the page.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I can't get the pics to load into the thread...so I'll post a link to photobucket instead:

I like it as is but if you wanted you could add some ribbon or twine to your banner area to hang them from. It would add a bit of texture.

That is super cute (I have got to get me one of those notebook border punches!), but I personally would be tempted to put something - like a chipboard embellishment or something - in that lower left corner. My eyes move from the bottom right corner photo to the top lettering, and then down again to the left, expecting something there to balance it out.

Something with a heart would work, to tie in the heart in the title, or a star, to tie in the cute paper stars, or really just about anything baby- or boy-themed.

I love it the way it is. You may want to add buttons, in three's, to create a visual triangle and dimension.

Your layout is really nice but I do agree that a few buttons, enamel dots,or brads in threes to form the triangle would help pull it altogther. You were able to get so many pictures on the layout with it looking too busy and I love that!

I'd be tempted to add something more to it as well! I feel like there are a lot of squares and rectangles there now. It needs something round or curvy to give it some softness. Hearts, flowers or butterflies would work well. I'd cluster them along the right and left edges of the photo collage, to help frame in those pictures a bit.

I like it like it is, but if you want to a add something, perhaps some brads shaped like baby stuff could be put around the pages along spots where photos connect.

I agree buttons, brads, enamel dots something for dimension. Very nice layout! I am always glad to see good layouts with multiple pictures for inspiration.

I think some baby themed accents, of some kind, would really add that "finishing touch" to your layout, which by the way is awesome.

This was my thought as well. I would add a few flowers to give it dimension and texture. You have captured the 'boy' feel with the papers and colors but since it was a 'girl' party you can add the hearts and flowers.

Bottom left, top right and then a small something to finish the triangle.

ETA - I am a diehard theme scrapper so I would have to tuck a baby/boy embellishment in to the mix.

I think it looks wonderful, very well done adding so many photos to a double page layout.

If I was to add anything else to this layout it would be in the bottom left hand corner. Maybe a small chipboard shape that blends with the baby theme or maybe a tag with the babies name written onto it.

wonderfully layout! love the colors--how do u do the pictures collage that is awesome.

if you want to add, on left bottom side I would put some kind button, star, or brad in this area, if you have twine, maybe loop through the banners to bring them out little more. if you have some kind of baby theme embellishment would be perfect to tuck especially where your journal area is, really anything would work. love those papers.

Love the LO!

Can I just say I never thought to use that notebook border punch down the side; I always use it along the top. Great idea!

It's very cute the way it is, but if you are looking to add more embellishments, maybe a few buttons, brads, or veneer stars in the low left corner by the banners and in the top right by the journalling.

I would add something like a small old style pull toy (sticker, chippie etc) near the top of the photo/journaling are. I'd face it inward, overlap the jounaling box slightly add a string with a small bead attached, so the string is coming down over the corner of the photo.

Then at the bottom left, I'd do something to balance it. You have the main area pretty well covered just need that triangle.

Great layout too!

Very professional looking! I always add something a little extra like a 3D object or a little bit of glitter, etc. So, the star in circle motif could be enlarged/handmade and scattered around with use of a pop dot. Or add some ribbon, or take a glitter pen and outline something. The little touches added at the end are the most fun! Or maybe some sticker baby feet on pop dots?

I love the layout the way that it is but I agree if you are wanting to add something else I would add buttons
