What are your thoughts about this product? I just signed up to be a consultant. Who are my target consumers? I own an indoor gardening store and there are a lot of less-than-pleasant smells in indoor gardening that Scentsy will be great for. Any other uses besides making your house smell good? |

I would say your target consumers are women. I am in my early 30s and my MIL is in her 60s and most of the women I know in between our ages like Scentsy. I know people who use it because they have pets. It's also safer than candles and safer around children.
We have bought some of the Layers products and the room spray and scent circles (both of which my DH uses in his car). The layers line would be good for annivesary gifts/valentine gifts, etc.
I would try to get repeat customers. My consultant is very dependable and very quick about ordering my stuff and getting it back to me. That is EXTREMELY important to me.

I resigned from Scentsy when I joined Perfectly Posh. I did VERY well with it for a few years though.
Target market? Literally everyone.
My business grew quickly from the start because it was unheard of in my town. One of my first parties was hosted by our local Realtor of the Year. It took right off from there.
I really liked the room sprays, but be very cautious using them. Be sure to advise your customers to spray them IN THE AIR and not on furniture, around cell phones, etc. as they can be very damaging.
The Scent Paks have a lot of uses, and one I loved was to use them in stinky sports bags. Also in winter boots that have gotten soaked and smell funky.
If you read the consultant forum, there are tons of helpful people there. I will warn you that there are a lot of people there who are SO pro-Scentsy that they will handslap you for anything they think is not sunshine and roses about Scentsy. Take all that with a grain of salt. Ask questions, read the "Consultant Made Forms" threads and be VERY careful about following the strict policies and procedures. You can have a lot of fun with the business!
Best wishes!

Bummer. I couldn't find a consultant so last night I bought a warmer and some bars from Ebay. I've never been to a party or know anyone who sells Scentsy. |

I love Scentsy! I have a few friends that converted to the bars and warmers at Walmart and to me, Scentsy is SO much better. Lasts longer and the fragrances are awesome. (To me, many of the Walmart ones just plain stink or smell like rest stop bathrooms!) LOL Of course, I haven't stopped to smell them all ... Just the ones a friend had purchased.
I have a few of the room sprays and I agree with a PP, they are very strong and I worry about what they touch. Don't use them very often. I also haven't tried any of the personal care products. Bath and Body works has my business covered for that.
Over-all, I love Scentsy and I figure your target market is probably just about anyone that wants to make their house smell good. Best wishes! |

I am a huge Scentsy fan. I got my first warmer as a gift from my husband. He's a firefighter and is anti-candle. I have a couple full size warmers and a few plug-ins. Last year I had a coworker who was a consultant, so I liked being able to just order items from her. Now she's working somewhere else. I am actually tempted to be a consultant because I think there are quite a few people in my building who would help me hit the minimum requirements. I don't know if it would be worth the hassle since I wouldn't actually be trying to make money at it. |

UpNorth, that's the beauty of Scentsy now. Lol. The minimum requirement to be and stay a consultant is $.01 per every 6months! It's so easy and if all your doing is selling to you friends and yourself? That's all it takes. Heck, buy yourself a lightbulb every six months and your golden. Lol! Let me know if you have any questions. |

I'm going to talk to my coworkers and see if they would like to have someone who sells it in the building. If we could pool our orders for free shipping it might be worth it. |

I used to be a B&BW fan but after trying the Scentsy Layers, oh my!!!!! It's all I use!!!! I get compliments ALL the time asking what I am wearing. The most embarrassing was a man in Office Depot, and the kids were with me. Eeek!
I am looking at selling because your minimum purchase for 6 months is just $1 but my Director friend said that may be changed at some point and go back to the $150 a quarter or something similar because the $1 has really hurt their business. Hmmmm? |

I have a daughter away at college. She does not want a "care package" of candy, cookies and other unhealthy fattening, high calorie treats. She has always loved Scentsy. I ordered her one of the medium/smaller sized Scentsy units, shipped directly to her at college. I am sending her seasonal scents instead of candy as little treats during the year. |

Welcome, I am a consultant too and love it!!!
My favorites besides the warmers are room sprays and the washer whiffs. I also use the scent circles in my car.
If you have any questions about it, you can contact me. I also sell Velata and Grace Adele. |

Welcome to the world of scentsy!!!! I am a consultant for scentsy ( since May of 2011) and more recently the velata and grace Adele lines too like the above person who posted.
I love everything about it!!!! I really don't think you will have a problem getting customers, people really love the product!!! When I started, I just called up my neighbors and friends and posted a quick note on my Facebook. I also like that when I got started, I was pretty much the only one selling, and now have built up my team.
When you love something nd are passionate about it, it just comes naturally!!
Oh and I am in. Ontario, Canada
