Morning ladies!

I know I haven't been around much but I've noticed that not many other ladies have been either. Does everyone still want me to keep the threads going? I know we're moving into a busy time of year with the holidays and pair that with some people have stopped doing WW. Just wanted to see what the consensus was.

Today I plan on doing some housework and laundry and then it's off to the dentist after school. DS has a cleaning and I'm having an xray for my eval with the orthodontist. It's possible I may be getting braces within the next few months to finally get my teeth fixed!!

I did well with eating yesterday but I didn't work out. My legs ached so much from walking on Monday that I decided to skip it yesterday. I wanted to be able to do Zumba tonight. My legs are still hurting this morning but hopefully they'll start feeling better once I get up and start moving around.

Have a good day girls!

Hey Brandy! You've been so good about starting these threads for so long. I haven't been around as much (started working part-time ) but still like to check in once in a while. Not sure what the consensus will be, but maybe a weekly or monthly check-in thread might be a solution. I hate to give it up completely! Oh, and exciting news about the braces! Yay!

I'm still working the plan. I'm right at goal, maybe a .2 up. And I'm still working on trying to get a few lbs off so I have a bigger cushion at my monthly weigh-in. I hate sweating it each month. But I like that I have the accountability. I certainly do NOT want to let that weight creep happen. And I know from experience that it does.

I've been off my running mojo a bit. Started with an injury and that morphed into a few weeks off. Ugh. Will get back out there THIS week for sure. I've been trying to balance working with everything else I like and need to do. It's been a bit tough not having as much free time as I used to !

YES!!! Please keep doing these threads!! We had a very busy summer, and I got out of the habit of reading this everyday (and commenting when I had time). One of the things on my list to do is go back and read some of the threads I missed and try to catch up. I enjoy reading these and celebrating successes and commiserating with struggles.

I know I don't post often but I do read it every day so if you don't mind doing them daily I would love for you to keep going.

I've not been online a lot, but I'm still here! We've been busy buying a new house and getting ready to sell our current one, plus with the kids etc. it just gets lost in the shuffle.

I'm going to be hitting 20 pounds lost pretty soon, hopefully in the next WI or two. I'm getting those non-food rewards, generally something hockey-related: at 10 pounds I bought a new stick and at 20 I think I'll get new shoulder pads. The ones I have are huge and make me look like a linebacker. When I reach goal, I'll get new pants.

I got my first comment from someone who noticed that I was losing weight the other day. I figure it happens around 20 pounds for a lot of people, so it's just about the right time.

I've become a real fan of sweet potatoes recently, especially sweet potato fries. But I don't really like them fried - tonight I've got a batch baking in the oven, just a little bit of olive oil and some salt and they'll be delicious.

And good news with my exercise regimen. The hockey team I am playing with is in first place! We're the only undefeated team in the league, 4-0. I'm having so much fun playing and I'm actually starting to see progress myself. I've had coaches and other players remark that I'm getting better, but it's hard to see when you can't watch yourself. Anyway...Monday night I had my best game ever, I think. I got an assist, got a shot on goal (didn't go in, but the fact that I was the first one to the net and able to make a shot was pretty darn cool) but best of all - there is a guy that I've played against on Friday nights and have NEVER been able to get the puck away from him. This time, I came over the boards onto the ice, saw that he had the puck and was coming my direction and I just skated forward, grabbed it off his stick and kept going towards the net. It was the sort of thing where I was saying to myself "WTF just happened? Did I just STEAL the puck from that guy? THAT GUY? Holy crap!" I could even hear the guys on the bench yelling encouragement, I think they were pretty surprised too.

So, staying OP is easy when I have so many extra AP each week. I've eaten out maybe 5 times in the past week and was still down a pound as of yesterday. WI is on Friday, so I'll see how that goes.

Hi everyone,

I know I'm guilty of not being here very much lately. It's often to difficult to post at work even when I do get a few minutes to check in, and at home I'm usually on the iPad and find it a hassle to type on it. I do love to 'see' all of you, though! I've been at 2Peas for a long time (as all of us have) and never made much attempt to reach out and find 'friends' here-- all of you are that for me. I think I'd be bummed out if we didn't have a thread at least a couple of times per week.

Not too much to report here, to tell the truth. I'm VERY busy at work, and keeping the up with the girls. I took the day off today to wait for a furniture delivery (I had a 5 hour delivery window--dd's new bedroom furniture) and I spent some time getting organized for older dd's upcoming college search. It's time to start thinking about it, and I can't believe it. I'm totally overwhelmed, LOL.

In WW news... I made the broccoli cheese & potato soup from Skinnytaste tonight, and it was really delicious. Even my dh--who eats because he has to live, and who would be completely happy with a diet of fish sticks, hot dogs, mac & cheese, & fast food--told me several times how good it was. I made the mushroom stroganoff on Monday, and that was really good, too (though not as good as the soup). I swear there is not a bad recipe on that site.

Now I need to go clean up the kitchen!

Hi everybody. I'm usually posting to the daily thread late each day & am usually the last to post to it. So it kind of feels like I'm talking to myself most of the time. That's why I stopped posting.

But it is fun to read what other people post though so I typically look for it everyday to see what people are up to.

Brandy I thought of you this morning. I saw something on GMA about a Zumba studio in Maine that was a front for a prostitution business. LOL! How close are you to Maine? I kid, I kid.

I joined WE on Sunday and love that I found this post! I joined because I'm stuck at my current weight and needed some help getting past it. Looking forward to support and motivation!

I'm usually a later-in-the-day poster as well...we need to just keep posting and talk to each other! Maybe we can get more later peas to join in!

Herro!~

I'm peeking back in after a few more weeks away; I was REALLY sick with a stomach bug. GREAT for weight loss ... but also great for quality-of-life loss! It's been a MISERABLE 3 weeks!

I did finally drag myself to WI & meeting last night and was down 3.6 pounds (it had been 3 weeks since my previous WI). I'm at my "all-time low" - at least since I can remember and probably for about 17 years! I got really thin right after my ex- walked out... you know that old "divorce diet". But other circumstances "made me" put a bunch of weight back on over the years, but NO MORE!

I'm .2 of a pound away from my 10%, and 19.6 pounds from goal.

I got 2 friends to join & go to the same meeting with me, so that's extra motivation and accountability for all 3 of us.

I hope you all are doing well. I'll go read the thread now!

Chele
