CD: Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack, whatever good classic Christmas music station I can find on Pandora (I'm not normally a big classical music listener, but at Christmas I'm all about traditional versions of O Holy Night, Angels We Have Heard on High, the Hallelujah chorus, etc).
Movies: A Muppet Christmas Carol, Love Actually, all the claymation movies (especially A Year Without A Santa Clause), The Holiday, Elf, The Grinch (cartoon or with Jim Carrey), Polar Express . . . I think those are all of the Christmas movies I own.

I am quite bored with our small music collection, so thanks to everyone for sharing their fans. I'll be off to itunes to buy some new music soon!
As for movies, we have to watch a ton at Xmas, including:
White Christmas
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
The Grinch (Jim Carey version)
Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
The Holiday
Home for Christmas
I know there are several more, but I can't recall all the titles. Of course, the one that is a must-see is Christmas Story, which I'm sure we could all recite from memory! |

Great responses-and new suggestions for some music to pick up too!
Funny how so many people love Elf - I can't stand that movie but I sure can watch 24 hours of A Christmas Story
The other song I should have mentioned is Montgomery Gentry's Merry Christmas from the Family. It's hysterical.

I love all Christmas music(except grandma got ran over)!!! for the last few weeks, I have been watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel non-stop while scrapping. They are very cheesy...but festive!
My favorite holiday movie of all time is The Sound of Music it's not holiday themed but I always watch it at the holidays.
My family also loves The Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. They were my ex-husbands favorite movies. He passed away last year on Jan 5th just a few days after we gave him the famous "Leg Lamp" from a Christmas Story. He was so surprised and it was a great memory for the kids to have! I hope I got a picture of him opening that gift! I will have to scour the picture card! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Like many of you I just didnt' get why Elf was so great after the first time I watched it but then the following year I gave it another try and I LOVE it I must admit!!! I also have DVRd quite a few of the Christmas movies on this weekend on Lifetime and ABC Family.. yes they are cheesy but they are feel good and easy to have on as background.

Rod Stewart, Richard Marx and Colbie Caillat all have new Christmas cds out this year. I discovered a perfect little jewel of a holiday movie last year - "Holiday" with Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. If you're an "old" movie buff, it's simply wonderful!
