I've been finding that I have to literally write out everything I need to get done in a day in order to stay focused. I have 2 kids under 4 and I find that we just get "off track" if I don't follow a list!

Hang on...I just need to check my 'live by' list

I wouldn't say I live by them but even now my kids have left home they certainly help!!

Today, I will be colouring outside the lines.

Life-long list maker here.

My husband laughs at how many I have going at any one time. But he also admits that the resulting level of organization it brings to our lives is pretty helpful.

Because I am a list maker, I also use a day planner that has the week on the left-hand page and is just lined on the right-hand page... so I can make more lists of course!

Me!! I make lists for absolutely everything. Always have. Even in high school I'd make a list every Friday of everything I wanted to get done by the end of every weekend. If I didn't finish it all I'd be anxious on Sunday night. (Okay, so that is a major drawback yo being a list maker!!)

I've always been a list maker. Luckily for me, my brother-in-law works for 3M and keeps me well supplied with post-it notes

I really LOVE lists! Sometimes, I write stuff I do on my list, just to cross it off! LOL!!

I used to use a little agenda book, I bought at Walmart. But, earlier this year someone on here posted about .

I use it every day!!! I love that site. So easy to use and you can have multiple lists, multiple tiers on lists. It's easy to delete stuff and move it around. And, it's free! Love it!

Fellow list-maker here. I always have a running to-do list along with other smaller lists (weekend, trip, grocery, project, etc).

I am a planner through and through. I bought a project notebook from Office Depot and every project is thoroughly listed and analyzed for best price, logistics, etc.

I can't live without a list, post-its and my project notebook.

Ok, glad to know I'm not the only one! It's gotten to the point where my 3 y/o asks, "mommy, where's the list?". I even make her a simplified one with pictures to map out our days together when she's not at preschool. I.e. "eat breakfast, brush teeth, put on clothes, park..." with corresponding pictures she loves saying "check!"

Life long list maker here. Works for me. I like being able to look at my list at the end of the day to see what I've done. There are days when it doesn't seem like much but when I check my list it's like a lot done!!

Yep. I HAVE to use a list for everything. I have a terrible memory. I blame the thyroid meds(and insomnia). I get the 'foggy brain' alot.
Before I leave my house I go over what I need..
Purse... Check!
Phone... Check!
Diapers, wipes and sippy cup... Check!

Walk out the door... Crap I forgot my keys!

Get in car. Make sure I have my phone purse diapers wipes and cup. Count children(I have that fear of forgetting one). Drive away. Get halfway to destination.... Can't remember if I actually USED my keys to lock the doors???

And I'm this way about everything! If I keep my lists then I'm not so

Lists keep me sane!

Absolutely! My first graders at school even know to remind me to "put it on the list" if it is something they want me to extra recess for a reward, add another name to the tooth fairy chart, that sort of thing. They know that it might not happen right away, but if it's on the list, I will get to it eventually!

It just so happens that I make lists, of lists that I eventually want to make. How crazy does that make me? Super extra crazy! How organized am I with 2 children under 4? Super organized!!

I've always liked lists, and carried a notebook in my handbag. Then I was given my ipad a year last May, and got hooked on the native Reminders app, making multiple lists eg, card orders, supermarket shopping list, list for things to get in town, general 'to do' day to day list, Christmas list etc, and this app and the Calendars app, were the main reason I bought an iphone three months later. As the apps sync, I always have them with me on my phone, but can add to them on my ipad. I am so much more organised now, especially as the lists send me alarms if needed too.

I learned on pinterest that I should also make 'to not do' 'don't spend too much time on 2peas' should be one of my entries.

Yes, I do love my lists. I spent 2 hours on Friday just getting organized for the upcoming holiday season and making lists was a large part of the time it took.

My mind works well on paper. If I don't organized/categorize/process things on paper, I feel like little pieces of me are scattered all over.

Do you have a chart or anything else that you use? I tried to make something that was chart-like, but went back to my old standby - spiral notebooks. When I want to do the overall organization of something big like Christmas, I rely on a 3- ring binder so I can update/change my lists or add to as necessary. Again, though, it is always just using blank sheets of notebook paper.

Useless Information

I'm a list maker. I have a grocery list, a gift list, a wish list, a to-do list. Somewhere around here, I have a list of things we wanted to do to this house. Wish I could find it because I keep forgetting what we want to do.

One of the things I love about the beer festival that DH and I go to every year is the list of breweries and beers that are going to be there. I can mark the ones I want to try and cross them off as I do. It saves on trying to figure out what the heck to try when I get to the booths.

Yes, in fact I'm working on my master list for next week right now. Even though I'm not hostessing Thanksgiving there's still plenty to do--and places I need to be.

Even though I love my calendar and shopping list apps, there's just something about writing it down.

I am a paper list maker. If it feels like I am not getting enough done, I add things to the list I've already done (If they weren't already on my list.) Just so I can cross them off.

I do at times, especially if I have a long list of errands to do or things to get.

I always have a grocery and target list going on the fridge marking down things that I need.

I am a list maker and always have been. I live by my lists. I like being able to put it down on paper and then being able to move on to something else and not worrying that I might forget it because now it is written down. It helps my sanity so much especially this time of year when there are so many things to remember and keep straight.

That's definitely me. Even if I forget my grocery/Target list, if I wrote it down, I have a much better chance of remembering what I needed. Not always, but most of the time.

I have a general list or liney as my mum would call it, then it is sub-divided. I often forget the liney but remember some of it so yes a liney is good. My kids are living away from us but in the same house and they have the liney going
Right now I have 4 lineys and I add to take away as it goes. I dont live by them but I like them.

It's pathetic how many lists I have going at any given time. I really do have to try to keep them to a minimum, and Lord help me if I run into an old list b/c then I feel like such a failure for all of the things that never got done.

My DD does. She started out having to do the list of chores I left her, as a latch key child I needed to keep occupied after school. When she began her own family she started doing a list and 4 kiddos and almost 30 years later still does her daily list.

I am definitely a list maker. I make lists for just about anything. My bf always jokes and asks me if I am gonna make a list for this or that, even if he knows I won't. LOL.

I usually have anywhere from 1-4 lists going at a time and right now I think the lists I have are a book list, a "to-do" list, and will be starting a Christmas list here in the next few days.

Pennyring- I do this a lot to. Mainly to show what I have gotten done. I used to do it a lot at my old job, just so my boss could see what I actually got done on a daily basis.

I don't always, but when I do, I get a lot done that I would otherwise forget! I need to get some kind of notebook instead of using post-it notes. They get discarded easily!
