It's been a while since we had a tattoo thread I love looking at different work
Want to share a pic to distract me? ha. Up until now everything I have is easily covered by clothes and can only been seen if I want it to be seen. Tuesday i'm getting a quarter sleeve and i'm starting to get butterflies. I'm certain about the concept ( I haven't seen the design yet) and the placement, I think the nerves are just from waiting for the final design. Hoping it's perfect and we can go ahead this week. Eeek!
I did get a small tat on my wrist last week that i'm in love with and i'm perfectly good with seeing it multiple times a day. It makes me smile, a LOT.
What've you got? Lets see them!

My Bff is getting a "Love you more" in cursive on her inner for arm, she is nervous about it since it will be the first big one she has on her arm.
I only have one Tat on my back right where the nape ends and the back begins.
I wont get a Tat that isn't easily covered but I admire people who have the confidence to do that! It looks awesome!!
I really would like a new one in the white ink. I think those are killer. The Tattoo world has come a long way baby!!! |

Thank you so much, you just made my entire day
Im in that peely stage with my wrist right now :/ Another 2 days and I should be good to go with this one...
This is from about an hour after I got it done. I'm so in love with it.
Hopefully it's resized right. Photobucket hates me ha.
The heart is the logo for my company, normally I wouldn't ever get something like that but to *me* it's more than a logo. It symbolizes the power to take control and make the changes that I need to make for a better life for my family. I put 'believe' because it's been my word of the year.
Almost a year ago I decided that I needed to believe that I knew deep down what was right for my family but I was unsure.
I learned a lot of lessons about loyalty and respect and following your instincts and it's paid off in more ways that I ever imagined. I believe in options. I believe in love. I believe in respectful relationships. I believe women should be choosy. I believe in independence. I believe you should listen to your guts. I believe you can always decide to do better or be better. I believe if I want something, the only thing that will stand in my way is me. I believe in pink and that women can be feminine and girly and also incredible powerhouses all at the same time...if that's what we want to do.
This is kind of my 'dear steph, you kick ass and you are worth it." reminder

Nicole- I've been thinking about the eyeliner for a while...so, you like it? Give me an overview of your experience...i'm intrigued!
Pics girls, pics!! I want to see !
Lynn, what is your new one?
I never thought i'd go on my arms, but it's just right. My artist and I both had tears just talking about design points, i'm afraid i'm going to see the final design and be a sappy mess. lol. I'm such a dork. I think he gets it though, he gets me and he understands the feel i'm going for. I'm so anxious! |

I LOVE my eyeliner! I do add a little to the outside corners because you can't tattoo too close to either edge. I didn't do lower lashes because I don't wear eyeliner but several of my friends have lowers done and it looks fabulous! |

You got the logo of your multi-level marketing company tattoo'd on your WRIST?
Holy shit. After having left your last pyramid scheme, even though you were SOOOOO in love with it and swore it was the best thing to ever happen, you'd think you'd have learned.
You could have gotten "Believe" without the corporate logo. Lord. It really is scary how much brain-washing these MLM companies can have.

Yeah. It's a pink heart of ribbon. It'll still be a pink heart when i'm retired. It's not like it's a logo that is super recognizable- it's not the golden arches or the apple logo. It's a logo that has huge meaning to me personally. While I appreciate your 'concern' my focus when i'm choosing ink is personal meaning to me and I didn't really take your opinion into consideration and probably won't start now.
I've never been involved in a pyramid scheme and I haven't changed what I do or how much I love it at all. The only thing that has changed is the corporate backing I have and the warehouse my client orders ship from. The company I started with is amazing and i've never changed my stance on that. It absolutely changed my life and gave me huge opportunities. The new company is a better fit for my family and the things I value. It's not incredibly rare for someone to change jobs if they find an opportunity that suits them better. I'm not entirely sure why this is a big deal to you and why you're so invested in it, but it is pretty awesome. Need a catalog? |

DH has a simple line drawing that DD made on his fore arm. The subject of the drawing has special meaning to him and DD and was his Father's Day present this year. He had wanted a tattoo for years but could never decide what until he saw that drawing.

I have a harley "1" logo on my upper left back. It's for my dad, all of his daughters and my mom got one at the same time. Mine has a swallow on it also. Swallows stand for freedom and victory! I had a nest above us on the day we got married.
On my right outer lower leg I have Tigger. I used to make miniature artist teddy bears for a living and loved bears. (still do!) Tigger is a symbol of my personality. Lastly I have our monogram on my inner left wrist. I really hate it because they did such a bad job on it. It's really dark too. I want to get it removed or some sort of cover up, but it will be really hard because it's so dark. |

After I deliver my twins ( and can quit taking my blood thinners) I will be going in for my first tattoo! My Mr. Conservative husband would like one as well! I would love a sleeve for him but we both need to start small
My dream for this tattoo is to drive from our home in Pa to Nashville. There was a contestant on Ink Master last year that was amazing. I would love him to do my ink. All I want is a butterfly, which I'm sure tons of local artists could do. But this butterfly is to represent my daughter Kennedy, who passed away suddenly after birth. I want it to be special. I think, with the artist and the little side trip it would be! Just wanted to share! |

This is the biggest one I have:
It's the ILY one. It was featured as part of an artist profile Savage Tattoo magazine did a few years back. I have 4 others - a camera, DH and mine zodiac signs interwined, a pink/lime green ribbon for my Mom, and a cat on my ankle.
I'd like another one, maybe somehow have the cat chasing some yarn instead of paw prints or a small daisy. |

Steph, I haven't noticed your new profile pic before today, you look gorgeous!!
I don't have any tattoos and probably won't ever get one. But on the weekend I was googling Dilana (remember that chick from Rock Star Supernova?) and I thought to myself "I want to be just like Dilana, with her wild hair, awesome voice, tattoos (sleeves) and all" !!! She is the coolest.
Justbecause - I love your pin-up girl. DSO has always wanted to get a pin-up tatt, I don't know why he hasn't yet.

I am at work and don't have pictures but I have 3 tats. One flower that is easily covered. One rose on the outside of my right ankle that I don't care if people see. I am a cancer survivor and had a major fight after a botched surgery. When I came through that I knew I had an angel on my side (my mom) so I have a pretty angel tat on the inside of my left forearm that I wear proudly. I don't regret any of them. DH and my 2 DS's laugh that their mom is the only one with tats. |

My little butterfly (which I want to get covered with a larger one that is a full butterfly)this one HURT. I had tears, but tried not to let them out. LOL... Also, on that thin skin of my foot the color has faded a lot, I will get black when I have it redone.
My oldest daughter's name. Really wish it was not so small, the ink is running just a bit. May get it covered and then get her name with my little one's name somewhere else.
My sun. I absolutely love this one. I am a happy beach girl...I love the warmth of the sun.
I really want something large down the middle of my back or diagonal. Maybe some large flowers or something...not sure yet. Steph, your ink is nice! Hurry and get the new one. Pics.
ETA: My husband has a nice dragon and wants to get sleeved out. He has 5 years left in the Army, then he will finish up his arm. He also has my name across his back in old english, but it is faded a bit. He had that done when we were very young!!

My graduation date is May 11, 2013 and I'm going to get a tat to celebrate my accomplishment. My niece has 4 tats already, and will turn 21 at the end of May, so on June 1, she's taking me to her ink master
It's going to be on the inside of my wrist. I want a scrolly, flourishy looking one, and might get a star or something in the middle of it.
Incidentally, a couple of people in my night classes have white tattoos, and they don't look that good. IMHO they look like ringworm or some other parasite has burrowed into your skin. One person loves his, the other hates hers.
I'm tempted to go ahead and get the tat before I graduate just cuz I want it now! BUT I'm going to make myself wait until I have that parchment paper, kwim??

I don't have a picture to share. My tattoo is of a cherub holding floral garland. The cherub represents the child I lost. The flowers are lillies to represent my dd Lillianne, camelias to represent my dd Camille, and I added apple blossoms later to represent my dd Abbigaile. Abbigaile was a wonderful surprise. I would love to add more to it, and maybe some color.

I got my first one about a month ago!
As a reward for getting until 200 pounds I got an infinity symbol acorss the top of my wedding ring finger in flesh toned ink. Underneath is a small red heart that connects to the symbol. It's meant to remind me that life goes on no matter what and that my love for DH will go on no matter what. He has our wedding date with the numbers sideways/end to end around his ring finger. To the observer it just looks like swirls.
Only my finger rejected the ink because the artist was taking it easy on me and didn't go far enough in. So I need to have teh heart redone. I didn't want something obvious on my hands/arms because my clients already have boundary issues and I don't want to explain every tattoo or ring or whatever.
When I reach my weight goal (25 pounds more), I'm going to get a rose compass that's got some detail on it with the "Life is a journey of choices" around it. The compass is to show that I may travel off my path, but I can always get back on it and I can always get back home. The saying is to remind me that even if I make a bad choice, I have another chance to make a better/new one.
DH is all tatt'd up and I love the meaning behind them all. |

Just an FYI on "white" in tattoos - both Snoopy tattoos you see were completed two years ago and you can clearly see "white". Just looking at my both of them now, the white coloring is no longer there, so it does fade faster than other colors.
The white may have faded faster since I used to do indoor tanning, which I no longer do.
Just wanted to give you a heads up. |
