Couldn't get it to work- for my address it showed my next door neighbor.
For my old address and my house growing up it showed an aerial view.

Google has a "picture perfect" image of our house--grass freshly mowed and edged, no cars in view and a blue sky. I was able to do a print screen copy and save it in word. It looks really nice. | |

Google hasn't done street views of my neighbor hood, so it's the satellite view. Not very cool.
So I put in my parents address. It's a picture of a big tree. I don't even think it's their tree. But maybe.
So I put in my in-laws house. It's a picture of the street. No houses visible at all, but a good mile and a half of cracked road way. |

Very cute! Though I must admit it is a little strange to see my house in a snow globe when the Google truck came by during the summer! Especially since I live in a winter wonderland...it was just a funny juxtaposition for me! |

It didn't work for me. It just "snowed" then said a donation was made for homeless and try again. What am I doing wrong? It sounds neat, but now I'm worried that this group I am not familiar with has our address. | |

I didn't have a chance to try this when first posted, so I looked today while waiting in the car. Instead of coming to 2Peas I googled "House in Snow Globe" and got this crazy article sofa set on fire by snow globe, check out the punny comments after it.
Thanks to Peas, as always, for helping me pass time during endless practice and carpool pickups. I learn the craziest things.

It has the house a row up from us. But it does that when I try to see the Google map of our house. I can navigate down and eventually see our house, but it doesn't come up with it at first.
I tried my sister's place, and all I saw was a close up of the roof, lol. |
