I cooked, I celebrated, and spent time with family. Then today I set aside to work on my scrapbook room! I'm still working but taking a break. I got a lot done. It was one of those "it's going to look a lot worse before it looks better" days, LOL!
My trunk is full of scrappy and crafty things going to Goodwill. I have 2 crates of stuff I'm going to try and sell (I posted on FSOT to see if anyone is even interested ... they are pretty old items like MM alpha rub-ons, foam stamps, etc). It's dark out so I have to wait to take photos and post it all tomorrow on FSOT and Craigslist.
The dowel of my MM shelf was empty so I moved all my washi tapes from a jar to there. They look cute. I hope I'm able to just tear off what I need without taking them off the rod which would be a hassle. {There is room for more rolls }
I got 4 more 12x12 Iris boxes from Mike's ($3 each!) and filled one with my and DHs old love letters. I hope to scrap them into a mini album for Valentine's Day. Going to put projects into the others too.
Hmmm ... what else? I just cleaned and straightened everything, sorted a box of stuff my mom gave me ages ago full of paper, ribbons, etc. Also re-orged my home office which shares the space, did shredding, filing, etc.
Whew, feels good! There's always more to do but it's so much nicer in here. How about you? Did you work on your scrapbooking space this weekend? |

I have been telling myself to get up there (scrap room in attic) and start cleaning ALL DAY today. It did not happen. I'm so tired right now, I'm guessing it won't.
But the 2 little ones go to bed soon...maybe I'll motivate!

Mine is in the "holy crap what did I think I was doing" stage.
But hopefully by the end of the year will be much better.
I would love for it to be sooner, but between now and the New Year, I'm going to be gone 17 days between work, vacation and Christmas with the family! So ... slow and steady wins the race ... I hope. |

I cleaned and purged a bit. I am giving almost all my image stamps to my BFF. I can now admit I only use words stamps (lol) and I needed to clean my table so I could use it! |

I did! I removed 2 storage pieces from the room and rearranged the furniture. It feels so spacious now. There's a drawer and a box filled with supplies to donate and/or sell. I still need to do some micro-organizing but for the most part, I feel good about what I got done.

I did, too. I made my DH pause his football game yesterday to help me make a desk out of my Target storage cubes and a bi-fold closet door we had in the attic. Then I moved out my old table I now have a longer table and much more floor space.
I have also been sorting my patterned paper...I've always laughed when people say they are getting rid of a 3 in. stack of paper but it's happening here in MI. They are mostly paper bought way back when & ones from stacks I don't like and won't use. It feels so good. |

I did yesterday. I cleaned, reorganized drawers and bins and basically went through everything just seeing what all I have. I received two scrappy orders in the mail and put the items away. Also, got a few things I made ready to be mailed on Monday. |

If you're wanting to get rid of stuff, I read on another board about donating supplies here. I just read about them today, so when I purge, I'm going to send stuff to them.

Kudos to you all! I started pulling out Christmas decorations (in a storage space reached through my scraproom only to find it a bad mess with spilled and tumbled boxes. So it all (Christmas) has to come out anyway. So I might as well purge decor while I am at it. So...as you can imagine both craft room and storage are. Ow a disaster! So I called my boss, took a personal day for Monday and will hope for a miracle! |

Erika, you'll love having your washi tape on a rod! I have all mine on a 6' PVC pipe under my shelf, and it's soooo nice to have them all out where I can see them. I do make sure they're all facing the same way (over, not under) for ease of tearing. The only hassle is that I have them organized by color, so when I buy more, I have to decide if it's worth it to take them off and redo it.
Sounds like a lot of you were very productive! I was out of town, but am going to tackle at least putting back up and reinforcing my shelf that fell down last week, so I can get my desk cleared off and CREATE again!

That's great! I've been working on this too. Purging all the stuff that isn't my style anymore so I just have what I love to scrap from. I have quite a but to get rid off, but am trying to figure out if I want to go through the hassle and try to sell some of it first.
I also need to clean out the rest of my house!!!

I meant to, but had unexpected guests that just left yesterday--sister and nieces= shopping and a bigger mess in there--it's the room I put stuff in to take care of later. So, I'll be working on it this week. I have quilting to finish and want to set up my new Cricut machine and play with it |

I would like to purge the cordless drill, chandelier parts and tape measure from my scrapbook desk....(undergoing remodel, adding a bathroom). My desk happens to inhabit the same area as where we are adding a bathroom and apparently my desk is the most convenient place to MIS-place all sorts of things....sigh.... |

I started the weekend before Thanks and am still working on the room. It doesn't house that we had already purged in the family room and office before the craft room. I am having to take smaller chunks as I am worn out from the other purges. I have rearranged the furnature and it is now at the stage where it is starting to look better again instead of worse. |

We just got back in town last night, so not yet! DS and I were gone for 2 weeks, and during packing my scraproom/guestroom became a catch-all for all kinds of random stuff.
I'm working on unpacking/cleaning up the main parts of the house this morning, then hoping to get in my scraproom during DS's nap this afternoon. It's been weeks since I've really scrapped, and I'm itching to get in there and do an actual LO! Plus finish up my DD prep and catch up on some PL. |

I cleaned up my table and organized a few shelves. I'm searching for a photo that disappeared mysteriously.
I was looking for the right PP to go with the cardstock I picked out. I had two photos and placed them next to each other while searching for the PP. When I found one I liked, I wanted to put the photos up against it and one of the pictures disappeared. I tore the entire table apart searching for it. I checked the floor and trash can. So darn freaky how it just disappeared. But that is what prompted me this weekend to clean up my scrapbook room. |

Does my daughter's stuff count? If it does, then yes, I cleaned/purged/organized all of her craft stuff. She was great about donating unused and unwanted supplies to her school for the younger children's art room. We gave them a big box filled with paper, stickers, diecuts, and other supplies. She was surprisingly good about throwing away old crayons, markers, and paint that she doesn't use anymore. She was an inspiration!
We pared down her supplies so much that she was able to move the one remaining Iris cart (instead of two) out of the living room and into her room. Making more room for - wait for it - MY STUFF! |
