who knows? I guess she's just fashion forward.

I gotta say the Governor/Maggie encounter was pretty scary. But then, so was the shack scene. I had to laugh at the new guy, though, when he said "you gotta be kidding" when he realized they were about to toss the dude into the zombies.

Oh and I was hoping they would deviate from the comic and not name the poor kid Judith lol. I like Asskicker better.

Maybe Andrea has condoms in her purse? nahhh, maybe not - she might want another little Governor running around. Can't let Lori's baby steal all the thunder. And don't fret baby Judy - I like your name.

Glenn is a bad ass! I hope he makes it to season 4.

I don't mind the name Judith. I really didn't want the baby named after someone the group lost.

Is next Sunday the mid-season finale? I was hoping they wouldn't break up the episodes. If they are, when will the last half of the season start?

No kidding! The whole thing with the walker was awesome. Bet Merle thinks twice about using duct tape to attach people to chairs from now on.

I was really afraid of where they were going with Maggie. Blood & gore & guts & severed heads...no problem. But, had the Governor went there with Maggie (and I believe he is quite capable of such brutality), just no. Can't go in that direction.

Wonder if Rick's group will watch some of the Governor's men leave, not knowing they are headed for the prison?

Anyone else worried that Carol's fate will be that of Lori in the book? (Haven't read them. Just heard what happened.)

Those prison gates aren't secure against the living. If anything, the party leaving Woodbury is going to be carrying some good wire cutting tools.

If we are left with just Woodbury characters, I'm done. I don't care about any of those people. And, the zombie hacking isn't enough to keep me around.

Michonne finds Penny locked up.

She drops her catana when she sees it
is a child. Talks to her soothingly & encourages
her to come to her.

Penny is in a clean white dress. The Governor
takes good care of her & it shows.

Michonne releases the shoulder strap of the
Straight jacket.

End of scene, I think. Can't remember if
She reaches for the hood or not.

Anyway, I hope Penny moans or something
Because Michonne's on her knees & looks
extremely vulnerable to be bitten.

Thank you.

I wonder why the Walkers were leaving Michonne alone for a while, and towards the end they were going back after her?

Maybe Andrea has condoms in her purse?

I was thinking maybe it was her "ho-bag." She doesn't have a car to put it in the trunk so she carries it with her.

Her gutsy goodness was wearing off. Remember in the episode where Rick and someone else, I think Glenn, covered themselves with guts and walked around? It started raining and washed them off and the walkers noticed them. I think her walker guts wore off, plus she had that bloody wound.

I was glad to see Maggie escaped the Governor's wrath, too. In the comics he DOES go there with someone and it is brutal, violent and horrible.

The purse, the thong.....I think Andrea is having a little too much fun in Woodbury. I think the end scene with her snuggling up to the Gov shows just how much she's willing to overlook to have some sense of normalcy again. That guy has a creepy factor of 10+.

I'm glad Rick is back on his rocker. I don't like crazy Rick. Glen kicked some serious ass and I loved his war cry after he was done slaying that zombie too.

The scene w/ Maggie and pretty boy was seriously cringeworthy. So was the whole old guy death scene. That science dude doesn't seem to know what the hell he's dealing with, does he? Freaky!

Now, the preview for next week? I hope that scene with Penny isn't the cliffhanger for the mid season finale. Michonne thinks the Gov is torturing children when she sees Penny walk out on that chain. She uncuffs her and goes to take the sack off her head-I wanted to scream, lol. That's going to be good. I do think Michonne will not hesitate to lop her noggin off once she sees what's under that hood!

And, I just want to put this out there---I hope Darryl slings an arrow or two towards Merle. I HATE that guy. Michael Rooker plays him a little too well!

If what he says is true, he's been pretty sheltered. Andrea has watched her sister turned. She got to see the scientific explanation of what happens thanks to Jenner. Creepy science guy hasn't seen anyone turn and wasn't around anyone else when the shit went down. I guess he knows now!

I'm kind of surprised the Governor isn't upset by these types of experiments. Seems the whole Penny thing would get in the way.

I didn't notice until a clip for next week how much Andrea DOES look like the Governor's former wife.

My opinion is that the Governor thinks that the experiments will somehow bring Penny back to him. Like Hershel kept the walkers in the barn hoping there would be a cure. It seems to be a recurring theme.

Yes, I remember that scene. Horrifying. I was very afraid they were going to head down that pathway with Maggie--so glad they didn't. I was also sure the governor was going to shoot one of them right on the spot when she revealed the prison info. I was so happy that didn't happen.

Gosh, I hope they don't make that Penny/Michonne thing the cliffhanger. No way are they going to kill off Michonne this quickly though. She's too great of a character and she just got here.

Hate these shows that have midseason finales. What is up with that??? They lose so much momentum when they do that. I remember, years ago a season of shows consists of a lot more episodes than they do anymore. I wonder why that is---production costs too high to produce that many shows?

I think you are probably dead on with that.

I agree, no way they kill off Michonne. We haven't even began to love her yet.

Did we get a glimpse of Tyreese last night? At the end, the camera panned the guards at the wall and a really big guy comes down and crosses by Andrea as she is walking across the street. They didn't show is face clear but it did look like the actor who's been cast. That scene just seemed purposeful to me.

I hate midseason breaks too. But our Sunday nights are so full of blood and mayhem(The Walking Dead,Homeland,Dexter) that maybe a break for the holiday is in order

I caught that also. Even though I don't know who Tyreese is (I didn't read the comics), I thought he must be a new character by the way the camera followed him.

I read the graphic novels and what happens at Woodbury is so much much worse in them. I am thankful they didn't go there with Maggie. Glen is lucky he still has all his extremities.

I hope the governor gets what he got in the books. He is evil!

Tyreese was in the books but part of the group early on. My son is very upset he wasn't in the show as of yet. T-Dog wasn't a good enough substitute for his character for him.

I really liked TDawg, but he was no Tyrese! I'm wondering if he and Rick will be as close as they were in the comics.

Hi everyone,

I'm late for posting this week and haven't read the thread yet. My film student son and I watch this show every week and he pointed something out to me today. See below. Notice anything? The top of the rifle is bent! I'm posting this (first time posting a photo) and then going back to read the thread.

I loved this episode but I was so worried about Glenn and Maggie, and on the edge of my seat to see how everything turned out. Wow! Glenn really impressed me and on the Talking Dead they mentioned that in that scene it showed him truly becoming a man. He used his brains, and his athleticism to kill that Walker before he got bitten. It was amazing to watch.

I was also very relieved that Maggie didn't get raped by the Governor-what an creepy ahole that guy is. Power hungry to the max!

I'm still pissed at Andrea for not thinking with her brain, but maybe she is just so starved for the old world "normal" that she isn't thinking period. She's just so happy to be there.

I'm worried about the group that was left at the prison. They are pretty much defenceless except for Carl. Well, I guess Carol and Maggie's sister can fight, but not against a bunch of Woodbury men with weapons.

The entire episode was incredible and the preview for next week on Talking Dead is very suspenseful. I also hope they don't make it the cliff hanger for next season.

The budget did get cut drastically after season one, so maybe that's why they take the mid season break-it sure is frustrating for the viewers though.

TOTALLY loving this season! Just can't get enough.

In the comics does Glen get killed, beaten or tortured? HeyAnne mentioned, "Glen is lucky he still has all his extremities." Does he lose a hand?

So thankful nothing happened to Maggie...yet?

SPOILERS FROM COMICS IN WHITE

If I remember correctly, and I might not, Glen doesn't suffer too much physical damage while in Woodbury. He is however right next to the room where Michonne is being horrifically tortured.

She was refering to the fact that in the comics, the Governor chops off Rick's hand and feeds it to Penny,
