DH will get the decorations down from the loft at the weekend but we may not put them up straight away (just he has an op on his knee on Tuesday so needs to get them out ready before then). Need to do some serious tidying and cleaning before putting them up (will get the kids in on the act with all of that).

Most, but not all, gifts bought and the majority of those are wrapped. Store bought cards written and addressed. About half a dozen special hand made cards needed to be done yet.

Christmas shopping put on hold this week now due to poorly child and next week I will have to stay home to look after DH so will probably end up with last minute shopping which I hate (crowds, ugh!).

Emily I still have pumpkins and stuff in my hall (we now have a radiator cover and that is the only part of the house that gets decorated seasonally, apart from Christmas).

I have lots of lovely Christmassy things pinned on Pinterest but it has turned so very cold here and it is freezing in my scrap room so that rather puts me off creating anything except from on the laptop in the lounge.

Yeah... Thers's LOTS on my Pinterest board, but not so much in my house! Other than scrapbooking, I really don't craft. Our tree got put up on my daughter's birthday, November 25th. My husband strung some lights in the kitchen. There are still pumpkins on the front porch! We did the majority of the shopping for the kids. I made my parents' calendar but need to order it. Need to get a few more gifts for my nieces and nephews. My December Daily is going well!

Tree is up. Cards are mailed. Most of my gifts purchased but not mailed yet. I have to make something for my son before I mail his and his girlfriend's gift. And I'm thinking I need to get something for her family and my sister's family still. Other than that--we don't do a whole lot of excitement for Christmas. We won't even have any gifts to open Christmas morning--except maybe one or two from my sister and DS's girlfriends parents. So it will be pretty low key except figuring out what to eat for Christmas Eve and Day and New Years.

We do have a several holiday parties to attend between now and Christmas--so that is our excitement during Christmas time.

I am embarrassed to talk about this - we got the tree out the weekend after Thanksgiving .... but then NOTHING! The lights finally got put on it and along the balcony railing on Monday when I recruited my oldest son to come help me. Our tree is 14 ft. tall and since ruining my wrist this summer, I am hesitant to climb the ladder. I am letting Brooklyn stay home from school tomorrow and we will decorate finally.

Zero presents, zero cards. It's not pretty but it's real life around here these days. Oh well, it always works out in the end.

Another underachiever waving the flag. Nada. Well, I bought some t-shirts for my granddaughters a while ago. They are still in the bag from the store. No cards, no decorations, no gifts.

I used to tease my husband about how he shops for Christmas on December 24th, starting at 6 pm. This year I'm going to be lucky if I beat him into the stores that day. Sheesh.

Maybe Shannon could come over to my house and put out the yuletide and make some nice eggnog? Just asking.

HaHa! My house is anything but shipshape. I always blame it on scrapbooking but more out of laziness and fear of hurting my back than anything else. But Liz--if you came, I would try to clean up a little bit anyway. The tree is about the only decorating I do for Christmas. But Christmas cards has always really been important to me and I get them done really early while I have time before all the mad rush of the holiday season. I don't do nearly the decorating, baking, etc that my mom did when I was growing up. Way too much work!

I'm still moving things around to make room for the tree hopefully this weekend we'll be ready to put it up.

I'm about 1/2 way done shopping, but a lot of hats left is just gift crds or things I can order online so that's good.

My photo Christmas cards came today, yay! Last Year I ordered them during a sale, big mistake, and they didn't show up until about a week before Christmas. They got sent out in time, but I really had to turn it around quick.

Our Tree is up and decorated, and we have our stockings hung by our non-functional gas fireplace...

I have our cards created and some printed, but we need photo paper, so I've got to go get more before we can finish those.

Other than the tree, I don't do much decorating...I'm a "less is more" type of person, so the only thing left is to set out our nativity scene. Dh may or may not hang lights...it just depends on what we feel like doing.

Most of the shopping is done (we did the bulk of it online), and we still have some wrapping to do. I have one present wrapped and sitting under the tree... I still need to get the kids some Jingle Jammies for Christmas Eve, but that should be it.

The only cooking I will probably do is to prepare something a side dish or appetizer of some sort for my family's Christmas Eve party. I've already been to a church party where I took a plate of very easy appetizers. I do need to decide what we are eating on Christmas morning...I have a pumpkin cinnamon roll recipe I need to try out, so I guess there's that to do.

I've just decided that we get done what we get done, and if we manage to work in something else we hadn't planned on, then that's a bonus. I don't really want this time of year to be big stress fest.
