This post is serious...
I cried *CRIED* when Ralph wrecked the glitch's car. Am I the only one? I was teary at the end too.
I seriously thought that was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
Anyone else have a similar reaction? or am I crazy? Oh wait... Don't answer that. |

I loved Wreck-It Ralph! I didn't cry, but it was sad when he wrecked Vanellope's car.
We're going to see it again when my DDs are on Christmas break.

I cried at that part too.
I didn't love the movie, but I was sad at that part. I did love when he figured her out.

I cried too! I seriously can't wait until it's out on DVD. It's the first movie DD and I have seen together in a theater (she just turned 4), so it's extra sentimental to us. Everytime "Some Nights" comes on the radio, DD squeals in delight.

Good. Glad I wasn't the only one. I thought it would be a good, light-hearted kid movie. I wasn't expecting it to make me teary. We really enjoyed it. |

I got choked up at this movie *and Rise of the Guardians.
Then again, I cried at the end of Toy Story 3. |

Rats! We were dancing to the music in the credits but didn't stay until they were over- was there seriously something at the end? I will have to go back!
The movie was cute! We downloaded the app, too. DS loves to play it. |

My 7 year old DS cried at that part too. He said that it was a great movie but "why do they have to make parts of it so sad?". My sensitive little guy! |

I definitely choked up at that part. But I had to choke it back because my DH and 15yoDD are so on to me now that I sensed them both looking at me to see if it got to me...
And no... I didn't stay. DANG IT! Why do I not know about these things!!!

Wait - what surprise? We stayed until the very, very end and didn't see anything!!
OP, I totally choked up when he wrecked her car, and also as he said his little "affirmation" when he was falling into that volcano. It was a great movie. |

Loved it! Saw it twice - I cried but I cry in EVERY Disney movie.
Yes, stayed for the surprise Most Disney movies have one so we usually stay. It is WAY WAY past the credits, you have to stay a long time.
You can google it - it is the kill screen from Pac Man. I never heard of it before the movie, but my 11 ds has researched all about it now.
Did you see the easter eggs? You always got to look for those too, there was a hidden mickey. |

I teared up at that part too...my 12 year old dd said she did too. Our 16 year old son even said he thought it was a great movie too. We sort of had to drag him to the movie. |

bumping because we just watched the DVD last night
DH and DSs went to see it in the theater. LOVED it.
I waited for the DVD, because I wasn't a big gamer
(did love Centipede) and I thought all the references would be
over my head ... I'm late 40s.
I wasn't thrilled with this movie. Probably will not watch it
again. Some parts were good, but the majority of it didn't
interest me beyond the fun graphics/stutter motion of the characters.
I didn't "get" it, or I didn't like the voice actors maybe?
Guess I just wasn't invested.
We watch other animated movies and kid tv series a LOT,
but this one ... meh.
Odd, huh?

I'm sorry to be the odd man out, but I really hated it. It couldn't keep my attention; I was bored silly. Thankfully I had my laptop to distract me.
OTOH, my husband loved it. Apparently he was familiar with the arcade games whereas I had never heard of any of them.

I opened this thread because I just watched this today for the first times with my nieces and nephews. I thought it was pretty good. It held the 4 and 6 yr olds attention all the way thru which is always a plus but apparently.........I missed the end after the end!
Now I have to borrow the DVD. |

I wrote this comment after watching it in the theater, so I will just copy and paste what I wrote then.

I loved the ending of this movie! One of the main characters in the movie was a little girl who thought she was nothing more than a glitch in the game. Throughout the movie she was wearing leggings and a hoodie with her hair in a ponytail. All she wanted was "to be a racer". After she crossed the finish line of the big race, she found out that she was a true princess and the video game she was a part of automatically raised her up in the air spun her around and then *poof*, she was wearing a crown, had her hair in a fancy up-do and a was now wearing a big frilly, pink, princess dress.
When that happened I was disappointed thinking that they had totally changed her. But then she said, "Nahh, this isn't me!" and she turned around again and was back to wearing her leggings and hoodie, with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. I loved that! She was still the princess of the game but instead of wanting people to call her Princess she decided to be president instead, to make things more fair and democratic for the other citizens. I love that they let a little girl be a winner and didn't make her a frilly, sissy, stereotypical princess.. (Not that there is anything wrong with being a princess, because I love me some Disney Princesses. It was just nice to see an animated girl character be something other than the typical "princess".) |

That scene was sad to me, too.
Definitely one of the better animated movies I've seen. |

Me too, and definitely on the part where he was falling onto the volcano. I thought it was great. We've had it since Tuesday and my kid beg to watch it every night...and I'll admit I watch it too LOL.
