My little ds is spending the next few weeks out of state with his dad and my 2 older boys are in school all day so I'm home alone.
I've finished the big cleaning, purging, and organizing jobs I wanted to get done while little one is gone.
I've finished Christmas shopping and will wait until closer to Christmas to finish wrapping.
I'm planning on doing a lot of baking but will do that the week before Christmas.
So I'm planning to get all my scrap stuff out and park my behind in front of the television and get a TON of stuff done.
What are some good television series available on Netflix or Amazon (we have a Prime membership so I can get stuff there for free, too)?
I've watched all of the Army Wives and am waiting for season 6 to come out.
I've watched all of the Law & Order SVU episodes available, and have seen all the episodes of 24.
I don't watch much television so haven't seen a lot of the series I hear talked about here and know are popular.
I'm not interested in Walking Dead or Sons of Anarchy.
I don't know anything about Downtown Abbey.
I've never seen Grays Anatomy. I don't know anything about it beyond its something to do with people in med school?
I really like true crime shows, not interested in fantasy or sci fi stuff.
Whats your best recommendation for me? |

I am a big Grey's Anatomy fan so I recommend it.
I am watching Friday Night Lights and enjoying it quite a bit. I started with season one and am now on season 3.
Parks and Recreation is an entertaining show. |

My top two suggestions were going to be SOA and The Walking Dead. I'm not sure if these are available on Netflix, but what about Dexter, or Justified? |

Ooooh, I didn't think about Friday Night Lights!
I saw a few episodes of that on regular television a couple years ago and started to get into it.
Ive never heard of Damages. I'll check that out, too.
Thanks for the recommendations! |

Sons of Anarchy is really good (kind of trashy and violent but I LOVE it). I like Grey's Anatomy and there are like 9 seasons, so plenty to watch. My husband really likes Justified and he found another one called Hell on Wheels, it was really good. I watched the first season and a half of Mad Men and never really got hooked but all my friends love it. Dexter too.
Not sure if these are available on Netflix (we also have Hulu+, $8/mo.):
New Girl
Modern Family
The Mindy Project (this is new so it's only on Hulu)
Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23 (also new)
These are all my hilarious feel good shows. They make me LOL

I highly recommend How I Met Your Mother. Love that show and they just released Season 7.
I know you don't like Sons of Anarchy but others that are reading this thread may enjoy it. I watched 4 seasons in one week. Awesome show if you like violence and nudity.
I'm gonna have to try out Friday Night Lights.
Thanks for posting. | |

Lie To Me
Numbers
White Collar
Grey's Anatomy
Crossing Jordan
CSI Miami
They are all crime or medical shows or a combo of both. Have fun during your down time!
