I have the Earth Day style which look just like TOM's. I want to try the Ballerina style as well, but haven't seen any in stores to try on.

The Earth Day shoes I have are a size 7.5. I just ordered the same size in the Ballerina style. The problem is, I'm not sure if they will fit the same since the Earth Day style seems a little "looser", maybe? If you have tried or or have both styles, do they fit about the same?

I ordered them from 6PM. They only had 2 left in the 7.5 and only 3 left in the 8.

My question is...if it were you...would you buy both, then return the one that doesn't fit? It is free shipping when you buy them, but you have to pay to ship them back.

I know, I'm a big girl and should be able to make this decision on my own...and yes, I can dress myself, LOL, but just wondered what YOU would do.

Thanks!

Here is the website:

http://www.skechers.com/women/brands/bobs

My suggestion is to contact customer service and asked if their shoes run true, large or small. I found that out when I ordered a pair of shoes that should have fit, only to find them too large and too wide.

Here ya go, they actually have a guide you can print off to tell your size:

PDF for sizing

LOL The Bob's are actually quite comfy and cheaper than TOMS.

Edgy Coolness- I own a pair of the Sketchers, so I know what size I wear. BUT, not every shoe fits the same in different styles. I wear anywhere from a 7.5 to an 8.5. The ones I have are 7.5, but the Ballerina style looks like it might fit tighter.

No, wouldn't buy any shoe from a company that so blatantly ripped off Tom's. They couldn't even come up with an original name. Lame.

^^^THAT.

I would never, ever wear Bob's. The shoes should just have a tag that says "Not Tom's".

Oh, yeah - because "Bob" is the first knock off ever in the fashion and shoe industry.

Come on peas...

OP - buy what you like and wear it proudly. They're not my style, but I think they'd be cute on others. (As to your question, buy both, send the one that doesn't fit back.)

Nevermind. I wanted an answer to my question, not telling me how horrible I am for buying them.

Holy over-reaction, Batman. The worst response here was someone saying THEY wouldn't buy them because they are a knock-off. No one said you are horrible.

But now, indeed, you will get lots of negative responses. You seem unable to grasp that concept of drawing MORE negative attention to yourself. I think this has happened with you before. Perhaps you shouldn't post if your skin is that thin - the responses here are really mild.

Of course they aren't the only knock off, but they are, in my opinion, one of the most blatant and worst.

I don't understand who would *want* to knowingly own a knockoff. I don't understand the appeal.

Re: name change of the thread.

In all fairness, the peas ignored the thread for two hours until the OP bumped it by posting this comment:

Are they so ugly that not one pea wears them???

At that point Peas commented on why we don't own them. I don't think that is unreasonable.

I like my Bobs as much as I like my Tom's...but I like Bob's price better

I never tried on the ballerina style, but I have two pair of Bobs and they're the same size, but one pair is much tighter than the other..and they're the same style, just different prints, LOL. I think you could probably call customer service and ask if they know about fit. I checked out the link and think I might want a pair of the ballerina kind for Christmas

And my dd won't wear Toms because when they give shoes away it hurts local businesses that make shoes in the poverty stricken areas.

So, OP? You can't win.

While I admit that you have some of the rudest peas posting to your thread, your title change is completely over the top. Everyone's feet are different, just because you fit shoes differently doesn't mean everyone else does.

you just never know what will get the Peas riled up, do you?
I almost bought a pair of Bobs this summer and had no idea I'd be breaking the laws of human decency if I did so.

OP- if it's possible- (free return shipping?)I'd order both and return the pair that doesn't fit.

I understand that, Annabella. But, if someone has had these same shoes before, they would have an answer for how they fit for them, which would then help me with my answer.

No, Captin K, I have no problem with joking, the Peas just don't know how to read them as one if you don't put 5000 smiley faces after it, and even then, they don't believe it's a joke.

I know your comment was a joke. I'm just not sure why whether it was a joke or not changes anything.

You still brought into the discussion whether peas own them or not and then we told you why we don't own them.

I don't think anyone was rude to you at all. I don't think anyone called *you* horrible or anything else. Some peas just said we don't like the shoes and why.

Okay, myshelly, I read it wrong.

I WOULD change the title to say that I was wrong, but the lovely peas would just say I was doing it to keep them from saying rude things. I'll leave it as is.

***ETA: I decided to change it anyway.

They both put money toward worthy causes, who cares. BearPaw and tons of other brands have ripped off Uggs, but I've seen plenty of women here say they'd never pay for Uggs, but they buy the cheaper brand. Same thing.

In my opinion, not that it's worth anything, wrong would be buying Tom's that you know are counterfit. Bob's makes similar shoes but they are not ripping off Tom's by representing themselves as real TOM'S. They are Bob's, not Tom's.

Skechers has a loyal following and there are people that will buy them because they are Skechers, not because they are similar to Tom's.

It's not like Tom's owns the market on ugly flat shoes.

No, I would not buy shoes on line unless it was a different color of an exact shoe I already have. Done that too many times already. I hate returning things by mail. But if you are willing to do a return if they don't fit well, then go ahead.

Oh my God....look at you with your "Bobs"....what a joke. You are some kind of person, aren't you? Buying those damn shoes that look just like Tom's shoes! Tom's shoes are great and original. But Bobs? You piece of shit.

And the person who bought the knock off of the knock off at Wally World? Oh for the love of all that is good and holy...can you be serious? You are worse than the crap on the bottom of my totally legit Tom's!

I can't even believe I'm conversing with people who buy things that aren't the original name brand. It's sickening.

Oh crap, I just spilled juice on my Life is Great shirt. BRB to start a call out thread.

Yep, this is me too! Some people forget that just because there is a name brand product out there, that everyone can afford it. (not including the Op, or anyone else, just generalizing)

There are generic products styled after every "Name brand" products throughout every aisle of every store. Including cereal, bras, jeans, meds, purses, you name it, it usually has a generic counter part.

You don't like them, then you don't have to buy them, but some people don't have the cash to just pay for a name....they are just buying the shoes because they need something to cover their feet. (These people would be me)

OP I'd buy both pairs and send one back. (edited because I should have worded it differently.)

I've been saying this since the Tom's fad started: shoes-that-look-like-Tom's have been around forever. And I know; I've been around forever.

Just because the (unremarkable) style acquired a new-found cachet with the Tom's incarnation does not mean Tom's was doing anything novel...except charging way more $$$.

I do, however, like the Bob and Tom syndicated morning radio program. They were the # show here in Indy years before they branched out.

NP, OP. That is why I included the PDF. FWIW, I can't wear the Tom/Bob style because I have an high arch and I couldn't wear the ballerinas because they would bother my neuropathic toes. The knock off Sperrys Topsiders did interested me but they didn't go to an 11.

Oh well, sucks to have crippled big feet and numb toes.
