Anybody know when Target Xmas clearance is going 70% off? I think it was 12/30 last year, but that also happened to be a Friday. So I'm not sure if it's based on day of the week, or date/number of days after the holiday.

Anybody's store go 70% off yet?

Ours was 50% last p.m. We have lots left still. I expect it will go to 70% in the next day or 2.

As an aside, I couldn't find anything I wanted w/ my g/c. Not that I don't need stuff. But nothing really caught my eye.

Depends.

Some years yes, some years no. Some locations yes, some locations no. I work about an hour from my house, and there are lots of Targets in between.

We were there the day after Xmas and it was pretty bare, so I don't have a ton of hope. But you never know.

Last year I was able to get some huge give bags for 75% off! I used them all up this Christmas and I'm hoping to restock this week for next year.

I went last night and it was still 50%. It was pretty picked over but I did get some cute wrapping paper and a couple of bags.

I may try another location and see if I can find the cute fox and owl boxed ornaments I had been eyeing

Our Target was still 50% today and had a ton left. I'm going to try again tomorrow and see if it went up.

Oh cool! I haven't seen that one before! For the last few years, I mostly have been using SlickDeals.net, but I love a good coupon site. Thanks for sharing!!

My target was 50% for Christmas clearance today and it was really picked over. I did find wine glasses for .50 cents in the front dollar section. I bought 12 wine glasses for six bucks. I have nice wine glasses but I could aways use these for bigger parties.

I was in Target a couple of days before Christmas and was SO disappointed at the Christmas merchandise. Cheap, tacky, plastic crap. No glass ornaments at all. Lots of junk. They used to have lovely things a few years ago, but I've seen the quality of the good deteriorate as they have brought in more grocery items. I don't shop there at all anymore and only wandered in out of curiosity. I won't go back. Terrible!

I would say the nicer stuff was probably already sold out a couple of days before Christmas. I saw a ton of glass stuff just yesterday so I know they had them. Yes they have the cheaper stuff as well. But they had some very pretty stuff. Heck they even had $50 Christmas bulbs if you wanted to spend that much.

Ditto! I actually had my eye on some glass ornaments, glass hanging decorations, glass multi-color tealight holders, ceramic serving pieces, and ceramic garland.

We did already pick up a bunch of stuff at 50% off though. It was clear it wouldn't be around at 70% off.

We like to buy lots of our "filler" gifts for next Christmas on clearance. So we picked up a gumball machine ($10), a lantern and flashlight set ($10), a cheese board and knives, and a bunch of other small stuff.

We're seeing our nieces and nephew on Sunday, so we picked up a bunch of fun stuff for them. DH got a magic set he's going to teach little niece to use. He also got one of those Mentos/Coke eruption devices that he plans to share with her. Heh. (They are two goofy peas in a pod, those two.) We also got them a bunch of stuffed animals, a jelly watch for the older one, some Playskool cars for the little one... lots of stuff.

We also got a $10 telescope for our other niece. Her birthday is in February. My sister is all about educational junk, so we figured that would be a decent gift. We'll get her other stuff too, but the telescope was properly educational (boring).

I think it goes to 75% on New Year's Day and then to 90% off a couple of days after that (at least that is how I remember it). If we happen to be staying in the mountains at New Year's, I make a point of hitting the Target up there. It is in an area where there are mostly vacation homes, so there is a *ton* of stuff on clearance there. I have bought flannel sheets, fleece blankets, and other stuff for dirt cheap.

The Targets around my suburban home get pretty picked over.

Dillard's has an additional 50% off of all clearance merchandise on New Year's Day. Some years I find a lot, but other years I don't spend very much. I love being able to get the Waterford snowflake ornaments for $15 instead of $60! Dillard's has the Christmas stuff, but it is also a good time to pick up bedding and luggage.

I don't know about glass ornaments, but I found some very cute glass tealight holders and ceramic serving pieces at Walgreens. Sometimes they have good stuff left over, and sometimes not. I always check there for sales.

Some years, I've done very well when they went to 90%. Happened to be in Target 2 days ago and it was already extremely picked over. Very few cards. Not much wrapping paper. Not much of anything. I wondered if the bargain hunters went first thing in the morning or if the merchandise was already gone on Christmas Eve.

Thank you, and Liked! Ooh, it looks like they're in Kent, WA. That's minutes from my work. Nice to have local updates especially!

Yes, you're right! We got the cutest light-up Snoopy doghouse last year at 75% off! Definitely need to check out Walgreens.

We hit Walmart last night and picked up a few things at 50% off. Our oldest niece's birthday party is tomorrow, so we got a bunch of nail polish, lip gloss, perfume, a One Direction electric toothbrush (yes, it was on clearance!) and a bunch of little decor things.

The only thing I got for myself was a little shiny gold Church ornament, and a 1/2 dozen bottle brush trees in different colors. I'm going to build a little Church in the Forest.

Last year we got a $300 pre-lit tree for 75% off--I think it was right before or possibly on NYD.

When I went to edit my signature, the "Edit Signature" title was spelled wrong. So that was distracting and I forgot what I wanted my new signature to be.

Our Target had most everything at 50% off before Christmas. The only thing that wasn't on clearance was the wrapping items.
