...how do others perceive your style?
I hear the word "cute" a lot about my work and although I'm sure I've done some cute pages, I don't think of my style as cute. I think of it more as contemporary, timeless, modern, etc.
How about you? |

I think I'm all over the place, as I like to "try out" all sorts of different styles. But friends say they can spot my pages a mile away!
So I must gravitate towards something that's "me". I'm just not sure what you call it. I used to call it organized collage, because I am ALL about straight lines and things being "in place" but I do enjoy adding layers of paper and ephemera-like objects, even if it's only a bingo card or similar. |

Heather, I don't see your style as messy at all.
Madeline...totally off topic, but I love your new avatar. |

I really have no idea how to describe my style. I have always found that question hard to answer...
Lisa, I don't how I would describe your style either. Your layouts are always so visually interesting. Maybe detailed and dynamic, but I wouldn't ever use cute |

I never know how to answer that question because I do feel that I fit different styles depending on my topic or supplies. I know that I don't like to overdo my supplies. |

I have a very clean, linear style. When I look back at all the pages I have done, I find that my style hasn't varied too much from where I started from. The embellishments I use have changed over time depending upon what was available, but the ribbons, buttons and brads have stayed pretty constant. Lisa and Heather - you've seen my stuff over the years, would you agree? |

I like to say I'm clean and simple with a little bit of whimsy. I mostly add whimsy because I do like to experiment and will change things up. But I don't like to layer too much nor add gobs of embellishments... hence the clean and simple. Others have described my layouts clean and simple. I go for linear too...
Lisa... I call you the layering queen! Love your layouts and always so amazed how you can skillfully layer your papers and embellishments. |

I like cleaner papers (not distressed) but I have a bit of a messier style I think. I use lots of layers and heaps of patterned paper |

Sarah, your style is so refreshing and you are the queen of subtle touches (like gems and vellum).
Linda P., you do varied styles so well and you don't tend to overdo at all. Your cards always make an impact.
Linda A., your style has stayed tried and true over all these years. You have a clean, linear style that suits you so well.

I like to do a lot of different things. I think since I became a digi scrapper, I'm more adventuresome. I think because I know I have an UNDO button--and can use the product again and again, so I don't ever MESS up something I can't buy or use again!! That is one of the other perks of digi!! Anyhow, I'm a fairly traditional scrapper irl though! |

I have no idea what my style would be. I like soft, whispy pages sometimes, then bright and colorful as possible other times!
Lisa, definitely not cute for your style, but clean and layered!

I started scrapbooking in the clean and simple style and that is still the heart of my work. It may be old school but something about those clean lines are very appealing to me.
However, true CAS scrappers tell me that my work is NOT clean and simple. So, I would say my style is linear and layered and that stickers are a friend of mine. |

I just had to answer this question yesterday in a job interview. I said that my style was fairly clean and simple but with a twist. I told them I strive to have my layouts come across as inspiring and not intimidating. |

I'm not sure how others perceive my style |

I'm like Deanna ... I love to be adventuresome and try it all. I'm more comfortable with a bit of cutting, mist/paint etc, and great photos. So what style is that? I know there use to be little tests on the internet to help you decide your style. The problem was I actually failed them. LOL Every time I took the test the answer changed. |

I used to say a graphic clean and simple style...but as I've begun experimenting more with layers and spray mists, I think I've gotten away from the clean and simple...but I guess I'd still say its more of a graphic style. Honestly, I'm not even sure! Lol. Lisa, I've also heard "cute" a lot, though I don't think I generally scrapbook in a "cutesy" fashion at all. Lol |

I would call my style distressed-bling. I like the distressed look a lot, but I can never do a project without just a little sparkle or glitter. It somehow looks incomplete without it. |

I can't stand trying to label my own style - I'm sure I have one but I prefer to look at each layout with an attitude of approaching it however I feel like when I make it. Anyone else prefer to have no specific style? |

mine is vintage with a flair of something old on the page. I mostly scrap with earth tones, and I really like to work at thinking outside the box |
