Just the one you're currently working on? Or do you have albums that aren't done yet and need to be finished? How many and what are their topics?
TIA -- just doing a little investigating for a future topic I'm working on. |

I have two that are not complete. Two are dance albums for my daughter that each cover a full year of performances, competitions, and travels. I was very good about doing one for each year and keeping up with them for all her years of dance, but the last two years and the sheer number of pics (which all pretty much look the same, just a different venue) left me tapped out creatively! I will finish them eventually, but for now they are half done. |

OH MY! I think I have stuff in almost every single album I have ever created that is unfinished...a friend and I are getting together every Tuesday evening just for the purpose of completing unfinished layouts. A title, some journaling, a Cricut cut, a missing picture...all of these are things we are making sure get done in our albums...and we promised ourselves not to work on anything new until all of these unfinished projects are complete and we are caught up to the point that we are working on currently. |

The only albums I have that will ever be finished are our trip albums. All my other ones I keep adding too, so technically they are never done. Once one is filled up, I just start filling another one. Each of my kids have their own color album,my granddaughter has her own, and then there is the album with just my DH and me, another one for Christmas, and then we have our family album, with layouts that include more than just the one kid. These are all a work in progress and I guess will never be truly done.

I don't really have finished or unfinished albums. Just albums that are full (most of them) or not full. I just scrap whatever I feel like and then put it in an album.
Just recently I've started putting all kid/baby layouts of any topic into one album, then family-related/other/multiple person/cat layouts into a second album.

- December album for 2012
- Project Life for 2013 (3.5 weeks behind)

- my Book of Me
- anniversary album for my parents
- smash book of things I love
- baby album for my 2-yr-old

Oh, lots that are unfinished. It totally doesn't bother me, in fact I like it better this way - to be able to scrap something from last week of DS, and then to move to a baby shot of him, or something pre-kid from a few years ago.
Exceptions to this, for me, are my PL album (I'd prefer to stay relatively caught up - at least within a few months), and DS's albums (I'm planning to focus on them soon to get them pretty caught up, too). And no particular rhyme or reason for that - it's just what I would like for my own albums!
My in progress albums:
5 yearly albums (2009-2013)
2013 PL
DS's album
Celebrations album
my college album
Soon to be started:
my childhood album
DS's baby album (should be quickish - mostly divided protectors)
honeymoon album
And a couple of ancient albums that I'm pretty sure have a few pages to be finished:
98 Europe trip album
my study abroad in Scotland album |
-Jen
happily married to Jon, mom to Jack
cat mom to Emma, Ernie and Charlie
Texas Aggie grad - whoop!

Let's see, currently working on Spring 2012 right now. I'm doing copy layouts for it and to include with my Parent's album. My grandmother's album I work on as I get inspiration. I'd say currently working on 3 but with 5 in process.
My High school Album (almost done)
My Grandmother (maybe 3/4 done, was/is a gift album)
My Parents (occasional as they give me stuff or I take pictures to add)
Spring 2012 (just started)
My Marriage (barely started and since we're already divorced untouched)
My college (haven't started, all the memorabilia is collected in a 3 ring binder)
FINISHED
My Brother (gift album for his college graduation)
My Baby Book - Middle School

None are finished but they aren't incomplete. I work from all different time spans so none are finished and wont ever be. I plan to continually work on and change all my albums. I'll scrap more photos from a certain time and need to add it to an album, or I'll find a running theme throughout a few albums and will move it all into one. I have no intention of ever scrapping all my photos so there is always more to add.
They won't ever be FINISHED in the sense that I'll put an album down and never change it again. But they are finished in the sense that I will share them with others because they are presentable.
The only albums I ever finish completely are the ones I give to other people. |

So true for me. I can add that sometimes my travel albums don't fill finished because I get to the point where I am done, but not finished. I feel like I can always add to them (if that makes since). |

I have a long list of mini-albums I want to do and a few I've even pulled pics and products and sketched out a design for. They are in "holding" in a plastic envelope, but I only have two truly incomplete:
- 2009 Disney vacation
- 2010 December Daily
Both of them I started and lost interest in but need to complete!

Several - 2012 Album, Heritage Albums form Maternal and Paternal sides, Childhood album, Random Memories Album, Music Memories Album, and redo of Wedding Album. All works in progress with the only one with a forseeable end being the 2012 album. Just finished 2011. Good thing I enjoy this hobby because I don't see it ever being finished. I do have a friend who is always current. Don't know how she does it. She looks for things to scrap. |

I mainly scrap my 3 grandkids and they each have their own yearly albums. As I scrap their layouts I put them in an Iris box until I finish the year, then I put them in an album. I also have individual albums from vacations and Dec. Daily albums and I've just started PL. Someday I hope to work on albums of my 2 DD's and one of myself. I've been waiting to do these when I "catch up" but I don't think that will ever happen.

Hey Noel!
I subscribe to the Shimelle school of finished scrapbooks, so in other words, none of them are ever finished! But I do have several that simply cannot hold any more pages. I would say that at any one time I have about 6 or 7 that are in various stages of progress. |

Second that notion!
I have two albums that I made at crops that need to have some LOs titled and journaled. I am working on a very special album that will take some time, but that's okay. I love working on it! I would like to do Baby albums for my two children who are over 15! I hsve two heritage type albums that I am planning. Then there's always my chrono to catch up on. this is the most I have ever had in the works, and it makes me somewaht uncomfortable because I am a start to finish type person, so this is also a lesson in mellowing out for me! |

Um. Some of you have finished scrapbooks?!
Quick, mental inventory of unfinished scrapbooks:
- DD1 birth & first year
- DD2 birth & first year
- DD1 1st Disney trip
- DD2 1st Disney trip (in my defence, it was 2 weeks ago)
- Wedding, public (to current husband)
- Wedding, private/elopement (to current husband)
- wedding, public (to not-so-D H #1. you can see where this might take a while)
- My childhood
- High School
- College/sorority (switching from old style to current style)
Can you officially diagnose me with ADD if I have never, EVER finished a full scrapbook?! I've been doing this for 10 years. Am I pathetic?! |

I have a LOT that are in progress:
Honeymoon
School portraits through the years
Dance album
Those are specific ones I'm actively working on...then there's the hundreds of other "everyday" layouts I need to catch up on. I was so focused on getting my wedding album done that I put pretty much all other scrapping on hold for about 2-3 years. Yipes!
Recently finished my wedding album but realized that I need to add a 3rd book because the 2 are too big to realistically flip through. So while the scrapping part is done I do need to rearrange. |

Every time I get into a good scrapping groove I get pregnant and then I'm out for at least a year. About 6. And the only one that will be finished anytime soon is a make-over of my mother's album. She stopped putting stuff into it around 1953. But the pages were that old black paper that's falling into crumbs.
I also scrap whatever I want whenever I feel like it, and put it in a book. Ongoing books are:
My heritage
My baby, childhood and pre-marriage stuff
My marriage/family years (eventually may make more than 1 book of it)
My daugher's baby/childhood
Current years since mid 2006 (after divorce)
My mother's book (do-over since it is crumbling)
My snark book -- "If Mama ain't happy nobody's happy" (not for public view)
Come to think of it, the only finished books are the ones I gave away. Otherwise there would always be the possibility of putting more pages into it. That's the ADD part of me.
Thank goodness for 3 ring binders. |

Just two. One is my annual album, and the "year" (I don't organize by calendar year) isn't over yet, so that one obviously isn't finished.
The other is a family album that I plan to give as a gift. I still need to do two pages to finish that one (one typical LO and one "cover page" . There are also a couple pages that need a little touching up due to chipboard letters becoming unadhered. I hope to finish that one in the next few weeks.

Just one. It is a themed album of parade floats that I have participated in for the last 12 years. But, I am slowly working on it, so I'm not too concerned. In fact, I just did a page for that album two weeks ago. I have about 3 layouts left to do and I will be taking more photos in June, so the album won't really be finished until I'm finished with the parades.
I have completed all my vacations, baby and wedding albums.
My general family albums are filled as I complete pages. I don't work chronologically, but my photos would be from the last year or two. Those albums are like many mentioned above: when they are full, they are finished. |

Mine are all pretty open ended honestly. The only albums that stop are the baby books, at about two chronological years old.

I guess 4. The December 2012 book, books for each of my two grandchildren, and a scrapbook documenting the early history of my city, which only incorporated in 2011.
However, I can think of at least one more book that I would add layouts to if given the opportunity, and that is my Disney scrapbook. I just don't anticpate going to Disneyland again anytime soon.
Also, I did not say my 2013 book, because I haven't started it yet. |

I scrap my albums by year, I tend to never be finished with any album ever. I am always going back to old picture and scraping them and sometime I scrap my favorite pictures 2 or 3 times. I will stick them in the same album of the year they were taken. Plus the other day my mother in law gave me some pictures of the 10 year old when he was a baby, pics I've never seen before , opened up a whole can of worms there. Yep i'm gonna scrap them and throw them into my 2002 album or my son's baby book or scrap them twice one for each book.

1. Oldest daughters 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th year albums
2. Youngest 1st, 2nd, 3rd year albums
3. Halloween mini album
4. Boys mini album
I am hoping to get caught up on my daughters albums, but I don't seem to find enough time to get caught up. I really need to get moving and finish up these albums.
Thanks for starting this tread. |

My albums are ongoing and loosely based off of Stacy Julian's system.
When the Us album gets filled, it's onto Us #2 and so on. Even the heritage albums are never quite finished. I seem to find a new photo to add to the album.

1) Our family album for 2013 is not done...it IS only February.
2) The album of the HS years of my younger son (he graduates this year)
3) Family Christmas album, I try to get a whole decade in each one, so I have 2010 through 2012 done right now and many years left to finish it out.
4) Pet albums for many of our dogs. I do not finish them until they are FULL or the pet passes on.

Most of my albums are 'open', as in I can add to them at any time. The only finished albums I have are my Wedding album, honeymoon trip album, and a couple of stand-alone vacation albums. So I didn't answer the question, did I ..... how many? I don't know, maybe 10 - 12. I file the pages chronologically, 2 - 3 years per album.

I do what biochemipea does. I don't scrap in any real order so my albums are finished when the album is full. Now there are some albums that started out as a certain theme album and then just became a hodge podge of pages.
I do this for two reasons:
1. I have one daughter and she will inherit all my albums....poor child...well if I die while she is still young then poor child. They won't mean as much to her as when she gets older and the books may not survive those in between years.
2. Starting a theme album puts pressure that I don't need. I practice panology. Whateve pans out pans out. I just pick a picture and some supplies and scrap. |

I don't think any of them are exactly finished, but two (2010 and 2011 albums) are only a couple of pages away from being done. Besides those, I have about 3 other albums I'm currently working on. |

You wouldn't be writing a paper on procrastination in the scrapbook world, now, would you???
Honestly, I have at least four or five albums that do have pages in them but just haven't reached the stage I consider, "finished".
