Someone who has the money and really want it!! 80$ isn't much to some people, to others it is a near fortune!

I agree it is about perspective. I have friends who spend $200 on a pair of shoes. I think they are crazy and they think I am crazy for buying a $250 cutting machine. Perspective

If they can afford it and want it that bad, more power to them (and the seller) - I wouldn't pay it but I have spent $30 on a $15 stamp set before

Someone on the PL 2013 FB group said one sold for over $100, crazy...but totally get the perspective thing...so many people look at the $$ I've spent on scrap goodies and can't believe I spent that much on paper...where some people will spend hundreds getting nails and hair done and I don't understand that...lol...

I guess if you sub to SC PL and re sell it, you could look at it like an investment!

I seriously considered subbing so that I could resell. I'd just want to make my money back (so the total cost plus charging them extra for shipping) and use the subber discount on digital products and classes. But then that made me feel like a bad person, so I didn't.

I am not surprised.

Who here was around for the P365 hoopla? Those kits were going for HUNDREDS! And BH school kits were the same way. There are always crazies out there who NEED things and have money to spend! God bless them!

Supply and demand! It's simple economics. The demand was WAY higher than the supply, so the price can go up and up! It's the same as people paying $200 for the year's hottest toy on eBay when it's sold out in stores near Christmas!

(For the record, I think it's crazy to pay that much too.)

I do remember when the P365 kits were selling for astronomical sums. Does anyone remember when, several years ago, "tear bear" layouts were selling for $700-$800 each???

I don't think that would make you a bad person at all!

I wouldn't pay that much for a SC kit, but hey, if you have the money and are willing to spend that much..

I guess if I had one I would be selling it too. I agree though about perspective. Sounds like some people just have more $$$ to spend than I do.

Yeah, but while that is a resale on Ebay I figure these are the same people keeping the industry alive by buying here, there and everywhere. More power to them.
