I have recently starting watching Game of Thrones at the urging of my son after some resistance (Me: But Sean Bean dies - again. Son: He doesn't die until the end of the first season. You can at least watch until then.)

Anyway, my vent is: Why do they have to film much of it so dark that I can't see what is going on? I felt like I was watching it in a cave last night because I had all the lights off and the curtains closed and I still couldn't see some stuff.

Are you sure that it isn't the settings on your tv? I haven't had that issue watching GOT.

I was told when I first started watching this show was to not get attached to any character.

I just started reading the 3rd book in preparation of the 3rd season starting 3/31/13.

Oh, and does Sean Bean ever survive in a movie? Just once, I'd love to ogle him when he's not dirty or bleeding.

Settings are fine. Son said it was the same for him. Wonder if it is the DVD? Second season seems to be the problem one.
