There are few things in life that make me so gleefully happy that I squeal like a little girl BUT this performance did.
Bob Marley Tribute
First off I have, what I am beginning to think is, an unhealthy obsession with Bruno Mars' music. I have it on constant loop.
When I started listening to his music I always hoped to hear Sting sing one of his songs and then Sting walked out and I jumped up from the couch and started clapping like a freak!!!
Sting is still one sexy mofo.
Then when I didn't think it could get any better Damian Marley came in... I can't even take it!!!!
In my opinion best performance at the Grammy's hands down.
Taylor Swift sadly could not hide her bad singing no matter how much crap she had going on onstage. Someone needs to tell her Pink already did the Funhouse thing and did it way better. I guess she threw in a few Alice in Wonderland kind of things to make it seem original.
Rihanna's performance was strange.
I don't get Mumford and Sons at. All.
Adam Levine Alicia Keys I normally love but if I have to hear her yodel that damn song one more time!!!!
Kelly Clarkson can sing her face off but I still don't think Stronger should have won over Try. Pink was robbed.

I cannot listen to her. Every time she comes on the radio, I have to turn. I even walked out of the room during her Super Bowl appearance. IMO she doesn't sing, she yells. |

I so enjoyed Taylor Swift. I wonder if that song is about John Mayer.
Did love the Bruno/Bob Marley performance that you referred to.
And Rihanna is amazing! Her voice is spectacular, plus she's beautiful to look at. Who was she singing with? |

I love Mumford and Sons, but I swear the one guy looks like he has an improper relationship with his banjo..... |

I can't handle her voice or the lyrics. She was supposedly referring to her ex (one of many) Harry Styles?
Rihanna is beautiful. I used to be a fan but following her on Twitter has cured that. She has issues. She was singing with some guy named Mikky Ekko. He's been signed to RCA.
She always seems off to me. Did anyone notice her wearing an engagement ring?

You know the best part of the Bruno Mars/Sting performance?
Seeing Neil Patrick Harris singing along! |

I highly recommend 'The Other Side' It's a duet between Bruno and Cee-lo and 'Liquor Store Blues' It's Damian Marley and Bruno. Oh and 'Runaway' Just download all of his stuff...it's all good! Talking to the Moon is a good song too.
I'm not a fan of Mumford & Sons either. Their first song was constantly on the radio everywhere I went and it gives me a nails on a chalkboard reaction now.
I have the same reaction... it just reminds me of 'O Brother Where Art Thou' and backwoods LOL

What a timely thread! Someone posted here on another thread that Bruno Mars and Sting were the best thing about the Grammys. So I asked on FB is everyone agreed, because I didn't even want to bother YouTubing it if that wasn't correct. My friends said YEAH.
I love Bruno Mars, and that Gordon Sumner just gets finer with each passing day.
I'm thinking that if/when they release that song on iTunes, Imma get it.
As for Rihanna ... no words. My husband and I are both convinced that Chris Brown is going to end up killing her. That girl ... I have to wonder what her father was like. WHY WHY WHY? She could have pretty much any man she wants ... but she sticks with that immature little d!ckhead punk. Sigh. |

When she was performing and they were showing him in the audience, I wanted to gag.

That was awesome! I absolutely loved seeing all the other musicians just dancing away and enjoying the music/singing along!
But sorry - we're huge Mumford fans in this house! |

I have to admit I liked Bruno Mars too. I had heard of him before the Grammy's but didn't really know what he sang. He was really good. I might have to buy some of his music. |

I hate to admit it because it just shows how old I am, but I didnt know anyone on that show ....I have of course heard of Beyonce but wouldn't be able to pick her out of a crowd.
Didn't know who that mess was at the beginning, never heard Bruno Mars, Momford something or other...I know Ellen and NPH.
The only reason I watched was for Johnny Depp!!

I just wanted to bitch slap Chris Brown every time they showed him.
During that song with Elton John and all those other people, dh walked in and asked who the big, old queen was, I said "Elton John" He was talking about one of the other women on stage.
I too do not like Mumford and Sons. Their music is like nails on a chalkboard to me as well. I can take about 30 seconds.
I thought Carrie Underwood's dress was making those images at first until I realized it was projected. It was still cool. |
