I called the local SPCA but they are not open yet. My kitty died unexpectedly this morning and I am trying to figure out my options for disposal. Burrying her in our yard is not an option unfortunately.

call your vet. They will take care of her. Sorry about the losing your kitty.

I have quite a few learing disabilitys that effect my spelling a grammer. I do know my grammer and spelling suck. I have been working on this problem all my adult life.

our humane society has low cost cremations for pets. the downside is you won't get the remains back if you go that route. don't know if that's important to you or not.

Thanks, I just dropper her off at the SPCA. She hadn't been at a vet in a few years because it was too traumatic for her. Since she was a strictly indoor cat the vet was fine with it.

It was hard to decide what to do for final arrangements but realized I have no need her her ashes. They will be sprinkled in the mountains with other pets. I just can't believe she is gone

Definitely not a Kirby.

So sorry for your loss. I take my animals to the vet and have them cremated. (They use an outside source for this, but handle it all for us.)

I am sorry for your loss. We have always let our pals go and do not get cremains. We love them and will remember them with pictures and stories. No need for an urn unless you really want it. I totally get where you are coming from and wish you well.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for posting this question. This has actually been on my mind lately. Hopefully I won't need to deal with it for several more years, but my dog is starting to get older. DH travels for work frequently, and when he was gone this week it occured to me that if something happened to Peanut while DH was away I would have no idea what to do. I knew he would know what to do, but I would have been completly clueless on the logistics if I needed to do it on my own. Reading this thread has made me feel better knowing that when the time comes I will know the options even in the midst of grief.

I'm sorry for the loss of your cat. Pets can leave such a hole when they are gone.
