|Posted: 6/21/2013 10:37:37 PM|Am I the only one who loves PL kits, but doesn't do PL?? I tried to do it weekly and got behind so I stopped, thinking I'll start again and try a monthly approach next year. Meanwhile I have purchased more kits and now have 4 of them. I just got the blush kit today with my 40% off. I couldn't resist. I do use the cards on my regular scrapbook pages so I am using them, very s l o w l y! LOL!

I don't do traditional PL pages and I've been thinking of getting them too, lol. They are so cute!! It's probably good I don't have a Hobby Lobby close or I would buy them all!

I am drawn to the kits and cards too. I bought 4(!) MAMBI packs and looked at 2 more the other day. I have no intention of doing any daily documentation projects(ever...) but I am drawn to the cards, the patterns and quotes!
You're not alone, it's going to take me forever to use upend too.

I'm not into the idea of PL, but the concept is cool. We just went on vacation and I took TONS of pictures. I printed all the ones I wanted, then went through and chose which ones to make an actual page out of. Once that was done I did the rest of my pictures with the PL pages.
So basically I got all my pics into the scrapbook, some were on layouts and some were in those pages. I used some of the ones that were all 4 x 6 spots for just pics, then I would use one of the others and maybe just stick a journaling card in telling about the pictures or one of the cards that had a saying on it.

I just got tje Jaden core kit and I don't do PL either. I just got carried away by al the talk and youtube videos. I love the colors and the cards. Now I just have to find a way to use them.

I do weekly PL ... but since I have purchased several core kits since the start of the year (Jade, Midnight, Honey, Blush and 1/2 kit of Seafoam) and 2 childhood kits .... it will be the year 2018 (or beyond) before I use them all.
I use the cards for other purposes... for example, I needed a card for my niece's bday yesterday. I put cash in an envelope (4x5) and laid a 3x4 card from Honey on top the envelope, made 2 holes and attached them together with a cute ribbon. It was different than a traditional card in an envelope and I liked how it looked.
In my eyes, as long as they are used (even if it's not in the intended purpose), you have made a wise purchase. At least it helps me deal with buyer's guilt when I have more than I need.

I don't do the traditional weekly PL, but I mix up PL style pages mixed in with 12x12 layouts. I like the style.

so glad it's not just me! i picked up my 2nd kit yesterday (@ 50% off) and don't even do PL. the "plan" is to start doing it next year. at this rate i will be very, very stocked up!

I don't do it either but I picked up the Cinnamon set yesterday. I think I will do that style, but not a daily/weekly, just based on party/holiday/etc that is going on and mix in 12x12 pages. We don't have a lot gong on anymore so I don't have a ton of pictures, so I think this will work for still having my creative time, and getting my pictures in albums instead of just on the computer.

I don't do PL either but have purchased 2 kits, 2 mambi packs, 2 WRMK sets & bunch of different pocket protectors. I have been using the cards on regular layouts & also in the divided protectors. I have been using the 4x6 divided protectors for years to get all the kids sport photos in their books & making my own embellishment cards to fill in gaps. The pre-made cards make this so much easier.

I am buying project life kits to do a vacation album for a Disney Trip we took with my Hubby's entire family. There are too many photos to do it the traditional way. I am also going to use the cards as journaling cards in traditional layouts as well. You are not alone.
I sooooo want the Honey KIT......not available at my M's in Canada yet but I am sooooo looking for it.

The Movie poster that is my avatar is very special cause my husband is in it and it won best film at the Canadian Film Festival in 2012. See it......It's super funny.

You girls may want to check out the Studio Calico member gallery, I see a lot of people using the PL cards on traditional layouts there. They won't be the core kit cards, but it's good for gathering ideas. Also, glitter girl did a video awhile back on how to use the cut apart sheets.

I have lots of PL supplies, and have done one probably three years ago. I really want to do one again with ODS being a senior in high school. I hope to start something July first. I have WAY more than I need, bit keep buying more cards/kits and plan to use some on my layouts as well.

I use them on regular layouts and sometimes I make the pages in the PL/divided page protector style, but on a background sheet of paper.
|Posted: 6/23/2013 9:13:22 AM| I'm up to 3 core kits and 3 mini kits.
No PL for me. However, I intermix PL page protectors with my regular scrapbook pages, use PL cards on regular pages, and last night quickly made a dozen cards using PL cards.
They are just so cute!

Nope! You're not the only one. I have 2 kits, but sold over 1/2 of the cards because I don't need that many duplicates of the same card. I use them on my regular LO's.

I don't do PL but somehow ended up with 3 sets: Jade, Honey, and Midnight. The Honey and Midnight I am using for my DD's graduation and party. There are way more cards then I will ever use.
I started using the cards as journaling blocks on my regular LOs.

I don't do the daily PL either. But I have almost all of the kits (mini and core!!) since they started coming out! I'm in the process of printing pics and I'm going to do yearly albums. Not even necessarily month to month, just what we did that year.... Birthdays, holidays, vacations, etc. in order of the year using PL. I'll mix in traditional pages if I feel like it.

I think they are cute but have not purchased any. The cards definitely seem like something you could incorporate into regular LOs!

I'm using the PL kits to get caught up on my pics from years worth of just throwing them in a box. Really nice to get them into albums.

I have 4 kits, but I am actually doing PL. One of my kits will be used on my Alaskan cruise pictures.
