1. The ad is out. here

2. Anyone purchased electronics there on BF? How do they work it? An Ipad mini is on my list this year, and with the GC, the price is lower than the referb I was looking at.

I love black friday, and don't mind the crowds, but I refuse to get into a fight over a piece of electronics. I would assume they control it somehow? Anyone BTDT. I've sat in line at Wal-mart for an xbox and was very pleased, it was a long wait, but very controlled, and since they were open it was indoors.

I heard they moved it up to a Thanksgiving Thursday. To each their own but I am spending Thanksgiving with family.

They opened last Thanksgiving at 8 p.m. also. My state has blue laws so it can't open until Friday.

I have only bought an electronic something once on Black Friday at target, and it was a GPS (a few years ago lol). They had it behind the electronics counter, so you had to ask for it.

Two years ago I got an iPod w/a $50 gc. I was nervous that I wouldn't get it but I did. They were very organized. I will most likely have to go to electronics again this year for the Disney Infinity game.

I have heard in the past Target is pretty organized. I'd love to get the Ipad Mini.

Target is probably the most organized store we've been to. It also has the nicest people waiting in line.

Anyway, we've bought several video games and consoles and I also bought an iPod shuffle there 2 years ago and there were plenty at 1pm in the afternoon!

Does anyone know if these deals (ipad mini) are available online as well?

I bought an ipad there last year. I had to wait in line for almost 3 hours, but I got one. They were very organized and it was a good experience. FYI: you cannot use the gift card that comes with the product on the purchase of that product. The gift card is for a future purchase.

I tried to buy the Kinect with a free game last year (?) possibly two years ago. Anyway, they put the game on the opposite side of the store from the Kinect, and then sold the game separately on sale as well. By the time I located the kinect, then made my way to the games, they were gone. It was a "as supplies last" deal, so we didn't get the game and the deal on the Kinect was the same as Amazon.

Lame. And I felt it was pretty deceptive as well.

Last year my Dad wanted a camera, we stood in line on THanksgiving Day, first time ever. When we were standing in line, we were told all electronic items would be at customer service, so I stood in that line once the store opened, my Dad headed to electronics. I get to the front of the line only to find, that the cameras were in electronics. Turns out, only the ipods and ipads where in C/S. I asked several employees standing around in electronics where the cameras were and no one knew. Another customer, also looking for the same camera sent her very tall son on a quest to grab three of them, two for her, and one for me. He found them on an endcap, no where near electronics. All of this took about ten minutes. Otherwise, it was very orderly, just don't always rely on what they tell you while in line.

Thanks for sharing! I just bought two I-pad Airs for my kids for $479 at Target and another one for $449 with a $40 gift card. I just called there and they said I can't get an adjustment that weekend. They have a 15 days price adjustment policy.

So...I'm thinking of returning them and repurchasing closer to the 15 day policy and then going in for a price adjustment. I wonder if that would work. That's $260. I'm out.

Target around my area is CRAZY, lines are ridiculously long (like over 2 hours) and unless you are in the front of the line...electronics are gone first!!

We went last year and it was very organized at our store. There were employees walking the lines handing out maps showing where the high-demand items would be located. They used the pharmacy as the distribution location for the ipad deal.

Target doesn't price match gift card deals, I'd check into that with customer service before planning on it working.

I think they have specific exceptions to their price adjustment policy that excludes Black Friday prices.

I seem to remember that WalMart will price match, even Black Friday prices. You just have to go in the same window as the original sale. (So, if Target has the iPad at that price only between 9-10 am, then you can only price match at WalMart between 9-10 am as well).

I know I did it with a movie a couple of years ago. Not sure if they've tightened it up since then. But it may be worth a shot if you're worried that Target will be sold out of those.

Target also has not price matched "special sales" in the past either.

The way most stores get out if price matching or having their competitors match them is with the giftcards. Seems like that is becoming a lot more common on the big "deals."

I called and I don't think it will work, but I'm just going to go on Friday and if I get them, I'll return the others. My dh said to not stress out over it - we have them and that's that.

Not sure if the I-pad deal is a doorbuster and if it has restricted hours. Couldn't tell from ad.

The first place I go on BF is Target. They release a map beforehand; study it and make a plan.

We got a TV last year that was cracked. They of course had zero left in stock, but got it shipped to the store for free right away. We had it within days.

I don't think the deals are good online.

My Target was very organized. For smaller electronic items like the Nook, cameras...there are two or three people in the electronics area who give you a ticket for the item(s) you want. Then you take it to teh electonics counter and they give it to you.

The TVs are along the clothing aisle of the store and you just grab and go there.

They have every cashier open.

It was very organized last year.

Now Kohls around here I stay out of like they had a disease in there waiting for me. Takes FOREVER to get to the checkout counters

Target won't price match on Black Friday. At least that's what I was told.

I wasn't planning on going out but I think I need to pick up the memory foam mattress toppers for my kids.

On Halloween we went trick or treating in a shopping area. The mattress store ran out of candy and gave out samples of memory foam instead. The kids loved them and have been begging for new mattresses since. They're 7 & 10 years old. The 7yo has "developed" back problems since I mentioned sometimes those mattresses are good if people have backaches.

I think this might be the weirdest Xmas gift I've gotten my kids.
