Every Christmas my family participates in a family grab bag. Anything we want can go on our list. As long as it is $25 or under. I'm so tired of writing sweaters, scarf or gloves. I want "Pea" ideas. You ladies are beyond a wealth of information when dealing with "products". So spill your ideas. What would you want!!! It can be anything from a magazine subscription,to make up, to a car gadget.
I'm interested in your ideas!! TIA!

|Posted: 11/11/2013 4:39:37 PM|I had to make a similar list recently (mine had a $20 limit). Most of the items on my list were under $20 - maybe I'll get 2! I put:
1. Flavored K-Cups (Pumpkin Spice, Peppermint Mocha, Chocolate Hazelnut, Caramel Vanilla, etc.)
2. Flavored Vodka (cherry, lime)
3. OPI Nail Polish (the Couture de Minnie collection is fabulous)
4. Hallmark Ornament - Hogwarts Castle; Cinderella's Castle; Why Are You Stealing our Christmas Tree (Grinch); Like Mom, Like Daughter; Cinderelly! Cinderelly!; Papa Smurf; or Promise of Peace
5. Trunk Organizer (Tuesday Morning had a cute one)
6. Home decor, picture frames, jewelry, etc. in a quatrefoil shape (very trendy right now).
I know you said you are tired of gloves, but if you don't have texting gloves, you NEED texting/electronics gloves. I also want some of those bags that clip onto the shopping cart then convert back into bags.

Well, this only works if you swim laps, but a friend gave me a lap counter. It's a little ring that keeps track of my laps and time. It is seriously the best purchase!

I got Sephora gift set for 24.00. I bought 4 sets of lip glosses for co-workers. I bought it online.
-If anyone you know likes french soaps, mistral soaps (mistralsoap.com) has a section for gifts under 30 (and under 25.00)
I also scour ebay for vintage stuff that my friends collect. For example, my team's paralegal collects vintage Strawberry Shortcake items, and I found a mint-condition SBS bowl for 19.99. (with free shipping) If anyone for whom you are buying gifts collects anything, I suggest you check ebay out. Same for rubylane.com and trocadero.com

We do a girls christmas party and gift exchange and our limit it $25.
This year I have already bought my gift- it's a OPI mini set of the top 10 colors of polish. Found it at a boutique but I'm sure Ulta has it.

Can you tell me what it means that you do a family grab bag? Is that like white elephant so your gifts have to be gender neutral, or do you divide by men/women?

What are your favorite kitchen tools from BBB? I was looking there and Kohl's and saw some fun things but wasn't sure what was worth the space and money and what wasn't.
Does anyone have a pic of the bags that hang off a cart?

What a family grab bag means (for my family)is that all 20 of us write our names on our own piece of paper. We then write between 3-5 ideas down of what we would like. Then the sheets get folded up into a small square and placed in a hat. We all then pull from the hat. The only rule is you can't pull yourself, or someone in your immediate family. So no "swapping", or gag gifts.
Keep these ideas coming. I was considering kitchen gismo's. Also thinking of cosmetics?

What about a cookbook? I love giving people the "Our Best Bites" cookbook.

For $25 I would love to get a Christmas scented Yankee Candle or a good bottle of red wine.

I love having my music with when I bathe or shower, so I love the cheap speakers that attach to my iPhone via the auxiliary cable. I bought a set at Target last year for $5 and I just replaced the batteries for the first time. I had an expensive speaker, but the humidity killed it.
I love the cooking products in the King Arthur Flour catalog, like the flavorings or sugars or mixes. You could get several for under $25. I also love the pans, but they are usually more than $25 each. I'd love one of the French blades that you use for slicing the top of your bread. My serrated knife does a great job, but that blade looks so cool.
Silpats - if you don't have one or more, these are wonderful.
Tea Forte are wonderful. I prefer the black based teas, but the herbals are good, too.
I like Berres Bros coffees - such great flavors and super nice people.
More later, after I check my wish list on Amazon

Thanks for clarifying... I wasn't quite sure if you just needed ideas for yourself.
Sephora had a "Give me some lip" favorites kit for $25-- a whole bunch of lipsticks/gloss. It looks sold out online or I'd link you, but it was on my wishlist. I hope there are some in store here yet!
I like Urban Decay's new lipstick ($22) and want a new Bobbi Brown one ($25). Shiseido's cotton squares are my fave: $9.50 at sephora.
I drink a starbucks every day, so a $25 GC would be great for me. Or a Kohl's GC to get a new sweater.
I think I posted on another thread that I want some fiestaware-- either a couple of individual casseroles or something between that and my 2 quart pyrex.
I also want some blueberry KCups. Yummy.

I love the Philosophy shower gel/bubble bath/shampoo combos. They have some nice gift sets for under $25.
A cookbook from a Food Network chef
I got some really cute mini notebooks at Barnes and Noble last year. They reminded me of Moleskine, but they came in sets of four with really pretty patterns. I use them for my to do lists and a gratitude journal, meal planning, etc. I would love something like that with a nice pen.
Fun bangle bracelets

I love my Every-Day Wristlet from Thirty-One. It's normally $28, but in December it's only $5 when you spend $35. It's the most used product I own- it perfectly holds my iPhone in the zipper compartment and has the perfect amount of spaces to hold credit cards, ID's, etc. It's PERFECT for teenage girls and for busy moms- throw it in the diaper bag and go.
