I am completely done with my Christmas shopping.... except for DH. For the first time, ever, I am completely clueless as to what to get him. He's no help, either!

So, peas, throw out some ideas. What is under your tree for your DH/SO?

I am in the same boat, and starting to panic!
So far, all I have for him is:
"My other car is a TARDIS" license plate frame
Cybermen t-shirt
Three Doctor Who comic books.

Seriously, that's IT!
He doesn't drink, he doesn't have any hobbies, he doesn't play any sports. He's got all of the clothes he needs. He either doesn't need any electronics or the ones he wants are WAY out of our budget.

Well there's nothing under the tree just yet, but if you want to know what's hopefully on a UPS truck coming from Amazon....

- All Seasons of Breaking Bad - we didn't watch it when it was on
- A couple of DVDs about the Red Sox journey to the World Series this year
- A Red Sox Book
- A Bobby Orr Book
- The Anchorman book
- Texting gloves
- A DVD about Disneyland, it's history and the building of it, etc.

And he wanted to get DS the xBox one for Christmas and he said he sort of wanted it too, so that pricy little mind sucking toy will be for both of them!

I'm struggling too.

So far i've got
a photo book that I made with pics and quotes from the year. I'll probably do one each year from here on. My 13 year old looked at it and said "oh man, he's going to cry"
Hope he loves it.

We've been looking at wedding pics to see which ones to frame and I got his 3 favorites (we def disagree on which ones should be printed) printed on metal to hang in the game room. Hoping the metal is as cool as it looks

a couple pair of jeans and new undershirts

a sonicare toothbrush b/c I love mine so much and he always threatens to give it a whirl after I rave about it so much

a knife/multipurpose thingy.

a second batter/charger for his phone that always dies on the days when he's traveling from store to store for staff meetings

Turbo on DVD. (He's a car guy, it looked cute, he'll laugh and then we'll add it to the shelf for the nephews)

a new knife set.

Tickets for Trans Syberian Orchestra on the day after christmas...i'll do a date gift, maybe a new outfit, dinner out, something.

He's hard to shop for, he doesn't really want for much and doesn't really do 'frivolous' things. I'll be watching this thread for sure.

I got DH a Keurig. They get iffy reviews sometimes so I got it at Costco because they have a generous return policy. It will really be for the whole family. I got the kind that you can use your own coffee if you want.

I also got him a Geocaching beanie. He said he wanted a beanie and he LOVES geocaching.

I got him a Roku since I recently signed up for Amazon prime. I gave it to him this weekend.

I will stuff his stocking with some candy and mini bottles of alcohol from Bev Mo.

I'm not going to kill his sister

Actually, he is getting some clothes, a cool tire gauge for his bicycle, and some baseball trivia cards. We don't do big gifts anymore. After 34 years, we would rather put our $ towards trips.

DH and I agreed to stocking stuffers only. He's near damn impossible to shop for. The things he enjoys, he doesn't do often enough for whatever excuse he has so there's nothing to replace or upgrade. He checks books out from the library and hates it when I pay full price for a book.

I've gotten him some cold weather running gear that will now probably go to waste because his knee has been hurting and not getting better.

What about his favorite team? Maybe a new hoodie or hat? I know DH wants to collect some of the flags of certain schools so that's on my list for future gifts.

Tickets to an event he'd like - concert, show, game?

I'm not going to kill his sister
Haha, replace "brother" with "sister" and that's me!

DH isn't a gamer, golfer, movie-watcher, reader or sports enthusiast. He enjoys puttering around his shop and the yard but of course any tools he needs/wants, he has/gets himself. He likes to fish and go out on the boat but again, has everything he needs.

Last year we got him an electric smoker with all the toys that goes with it and it was a huge hit. I feel pressured to come up with something "cool" this year now!

Thanks for the ideas..... keep 'em coming! Not quite yet in panic mode but getting close!

a San Francisco 49ers shirt- his fave team
and one of those propane heaters for decks. It looks like a street lamp and sounds like a hot air balloon!

A Coca-Cola mini-fridge for his upstairs office. When I was ordering it I saw a red hot dog and bun toaster that was really cute. I'm giving that to DH & the boys - you know - so they don't starve on days I'm not home to cook for them - haha! (They can never seem to find anything to eat when I'm gone!)

He's also getting an UA T-shirt, flannel pjs and candy, yo-yo & zombie deck of cards in his stocking.

In the same boat as you, OP.
He's hard to buy for to begin with but then toss into the mix the fact that he was overseas for the last 7 weeks and hard to reach, so I couldn't even ask him for ideas/suggestions.

His list was:
paper shredder
fancy-shmancy scanner
stereo receiver

At this point, he's getting:
paper shredder
breaking bad t shirt
fancy body wash that I tease him must be liquid gold for what it costs - so it's a splurge

I was thinking about getting him/us some nice, new towels.

Then whatever I can find for his stocking.

Mine doesn't use electronics, has no hobbies, doesn't care about clothes, doesn't care about shoes, doesn't watch or play sports, isn't into nascar or anything like that, has a ton of tools, etc etc. And if I ask he never gives me any ideas so I never know what to get him. So far I got the traditional playboy calendar, a pair of levis (he does need those), some gourmet honeys, and a new tape measure.

Gale - That's pretty much my hubby too. He does adore his Harley so we always get him a Harley sweatshirt or two. In year's past he has had toys that he wanted for the bike but he has pretty much gotten all of those.

I told him that next year I'm going to make him write a letter to Santa...

The short of it, he is getting a cert for an 8 lap drive in a NASCAR, not a ride along. This came about when dd turned 18 I got s 2 for 1 for a ride along in a NASCAR. While we were at the track they had the regular driving one too. My dh said he would love to do that. I found a half off deal through Rusty Wallace racing. He is going to love it.
And just a few odds and ends.

My DH's grandfather was a WWII vet and had about 12 medals. When he passed, his second wife auctioned them off. I have managed to trace what medals he has, and my DDs are replacing them one at a time for birthdays and Christmases. The first ones are a Distinguished Flying Cross and Distinguished Flying Medal. Not the originals but replicas, but he'll love them anyway.

Wolf print t-shirt

My DH is the worst to shop for. Whenever he wants something doing the course of the year he just goes out and buys it.

He has been playing a lot on his iPhone this football season with fantasy team and different sports apps so I decided to get him an iPad to play with.

Dh really wants a ps4 but I feel like we have already spent a boatload on dd. right now he doesn't have a toy which I am a firm believer that everyone should have. just not sure there is time left to find a 'toy.'

So far..
Winter boots
Nuts a fishing lures for his stocking

I hate buying him clothes, while he needs them, it is a boring gift. I also hate buying gifts just to buy them and later return.

My husband is a techie, a musician and pretty much a geek. Not your typical sportsman so I can't help you with any sports paraphernalia ideas. What I am giving him is a recording system that he can use to digitally capture what he plays on his piano. I bought him two compressor mics, two mic stands, two cords and a digital recorder. I also bought him a new leather coat and I'm thinking I might also have to buy him a new office chair but I just haven't found one that I like well enough to want to buy. I also bought him a few books and I'm thinking I might buy him an audible membership because he has long drives to and from work each day and I think listening to books will help him pass the time.

My DH is the type who just buys what he wants, even if it is a week before a gift giving occasion.

Plus, we don't need any more stuff around here, so in the past I've had to really struggle to come up with gifts for him, that he'll actually use and enjoy. I've pretty much exhausted all the barbecue related items, the wine related items, and the Think Geek and Brookstone items.

He likes going out to plays and performances, so that's what I get him. I got 2 tickets to Cirque Du Soliel's Avaluna show for Christmas. It's not until the end of January, so he'll have time to anticipate it. I also got him a "Hot Sauces from around the World" gift pack as a jokey gift, since I tone down the heat in my cooking for the kids' sakes. He can experiment with the different sauces to spice his dinner up!

I also don't need more stuff, so for my birthday, he gave me tickets to The Book of Mormon. It was great!

In the past I've gotten him tickets for The Lion King, he got me tickets to Wicked. We also like good stand up comedy, so we both keep an eye on the local venues for our favorites. We recently saw Paul Rodriguez (DHs birthday present), and he was really good. A few years ago, I bought 2 tickets for an indoor "sky-diving" session. It was at a place that had a giant glass silo type thingwith a huge fan below the floor. Participants wear "dive suits" that capture the blowing air and send them flying! It was quite scary and fun. The silo went up 5 or 6 stories!

If there is "Do Not Schedule" written on the calendar, we heed it. I wrote it on the calendar for the January Cirque Du Soleil date, and he in turn has it written on a date in early February.

Team Matthew!

Tools! Dh wants new tool sets. So he is getting a Craftsman wrench set, Craftsman sockets, Craftsman mini screw drivers (thin, used for electrical work).

I'm super excited about dh's gift (for once). I'm getting him a 1 hour flight through a local university's aviation program. He'll go up with a certified flight instructor & be able to take the controls during the flight tour. He's going to LOVE IT! That & a water pik, lol!
