My daughter has decided that she wants a Stanford sweatshirt and matching socks from Santa. This is probably the last year she will believe and I want to make it happen, but everywhere is either sold out or wants an arm and a leg for shipping.

She needs a youth XL. and socks. If anyone is near Stanford and can get these please let me know! I would Paypal the money and shipping costs to have it shipped fast for Christmas.

Have you tried calling one of the campus stores and having them ship to you?

ETA: or you could do the free prime membership from Amazon and buy from there? If no kids stuff, my 8 yo DS is SMALL for his age and can wear my Adult Women small longhorn sweatshirt....

I haven't tried calling. Not sure why I didn't think of that I think I am in panic mode.
I will try in morning. We are visiting there in January, and I might just talk her out
of it until then and have her ask for something different.

I have looked all over internet. I can only assume that they are sold out because of the Rose Bowl, but nobody has the sweatshirts available.

ETA - Never mind...it had it on the store page, but then when I tried to add it to my cart it said sold out. Sorry!

Yep, that is what I keep getting. Just thought I would try the power of the Peas, but if it doesn't work out, I can talk her into something else. She is at least my "easy" one to do that with.

My thought is that since we will be at Stanford in January for a gymnastics meet, that I will ask her if she wouldn't rather pick out her own clothing and know for sure she will get what she wants.....and then ask for something else.

For what it's worth-I'm not last minute doing this.....she is the one who just decided, because Santa is all powerful and can get anything anytime-aye!

This store is at a shopping mall near the campus--maybe you could call them and see if they have it and if they'll do mail order.

Here's the thing. It may cost you a fortune to have it shipped from a shop, and cost a lot less if a pea ships it ... but that pea has to make a special trip to campus, find parking, buy the stuff, take it home, pack it up, drive to the post office, and wait in line to ship it to you.

So I honestly think it would be better if you just paid the fortune for retail shipping. Sorry, I don't mean to sound snarky, but I think you're asking a lot from a stranger at this time of year.

I got my daughter one about a month ago online. I did a search for Nike Stanford & got it from a sports shop (can't recall the exact one). The Nike sweatshirts are super thick & warm.

I am not really expecting anyone to go out of their way. I guess I was just putting it out there in case anyone was really close, or even on campus. You never know with how many Peas are out there. As for strangers, yes, we are all strangers, but not really at the same time. I have "known" different Peas and even done exchanges, purchases and sells with them.

They might not even charge more than actual shipping costs when you call. Definitely worth a shot!

Fanatics has the socks I want. They don't have the sweatshirt. They have a small in the mixed sweatshirts (mens and womens but nothing in the ladies sm.) She is only 9 and 75 pounds and I think a small would be way too big, especially if it isn't ladies cut.

Thanks for everyones help! I have looked at all of the links everyone suggested!
I think they are so sold out because of the upcoming bowl game.

I think I will talk her into waiting till we are there on campus. Up until about 2 months ago, she wanted to go to Harvard-now Stanford.....young dreams!

I have quite a few learing disabilitys that effect my spelling a grammer. I do know my grammer and spelling suck. I have been working on this problem all my adult life.

Rats--I was just in the city last weekend and likely could have found something in Chinatown. But I dont expect to be back for a few months, so no help here except to keep this bumped!

Ebay has some if you scroll down past the Fanatics stuff. I order our college stuff from there. Free shipping on some, too.

Curious if the local stores were able to help keep Santa alive!
