I see the commercial for FarmersOnly.com dating site all the time when I'm watching television and it seems like it's always during prime time television. I wouldn't think they would have THAT much money to advertise. Is it something just my local channels show or is a national ad.

"You don't have to be lonely, at farmersonly.com"
"Where's Jill? Out walking the cornfield again?"

We see them here in central Minnesota too. I thought they were local since we are in the heart of farm country but I guess not.

And, yes, very cheesy. They need to be updated.

They must have a huge marketing budget.

And yes, very lame.

I've never heard of them.

IloveBuble, you've seen them in San Diego? On a regular network channel, or cable. I know I see a lot of strange to me commercials on like country channels etc, but never on network t.v.

I bet you guys are free from wall to wall nightly news updates on The Oscars though.

We have them here in NJ (on NY city stations ) It certainly can not be their major target market though because the number of farms with in the broadcast area of the NY stations is dwindling.

I see them the most during New Jersey Devils games and NHL playoffs. Apparently a lot of farmers like hockey.

I grew up on a farm, and I do all of the outside work on our acreage. Would I be able to look for a SO on their site? I'm married/not looking, but I wonder how much 'farmer' you have to be to be on the site.

Their print ads are on the gas pump at our local Casey's (gas/convenience) store.

I see them all the time in New York. They started about 6 months ago and I couldn't figure out why since we're not exactly a rural. I do have a coworker who lives on an actual farm, but he also commutes over an hour to work.

We've got them, too.

They are hokey and make farmers look like a bunch of bumpkins. I know plenty of farmers - and I've never, ever seen one wear a pair of overalls. Wranglers, yes. Overalls, no.

When I was in radio we had some commercials that we had to play a certain number of times as payment for certain shows. The company was a sponsor or contributor of the show and we had to play their spots whenever we could get them on the air. I think that's what this is. The commercials are showing during the satellite or cable company's portion of the commercial breaks.

I live in farm-ville (aka the country) and one night my friends and I were bored so we went on the sight and made a profile. We were shocked how many people we knew that were on there. I giggle every time I run into one of the people around town.

Their commercials are so lame!

We see them on TV in Northern California. I just read a story somewhere about the guy who started it. I thought it was a joke too the first time I saw the commercial. And why can't cows talk? Ours are happy cows out here and they smile alot

They are on in Washington state as well.

My kids are convinced it's some sort of long term, delayed payoff, practical joke.

We were up in Wyoming skiing last week and they were playing on the TV there quite regularly. I have never seen them in Utah. Our whole family was dying laughing, and thought for sure they were a joke. When we figured out it was for real we like

Portland Or area here.
We find them very entertaining. I do know some farmers who kinda fit their stereotype.

All I know is advertising is expensive and people don't do it unless their research tells them it will pay off, so there must be a market for these services.

I agree I thought it was an SNL type gag
