I am excited to necrotizing on a layout using hand stitching directly on a layout.
I used the perforation cut on the cameo directly on to a piece of card stock. T is very detailed and will take me a while. I don't mind because it's better than not scrapbooking at all. I chose this method because I am using photos of gourds, pumpkins and marigolds to scrapbook . I wanted something that wouldn't overpower the photos.

I'm curious..working in anything new (for you )?

Please share...

I am side stepping from scrapping right now to make a bunch of pink ribbon thank you cards for a friend. I gave her 25 when she was first diagnosed and she only has 4 left so making more. I use a cuttlebug little ribbon diecut and they are so detailed. I can get 40 out of one sheet of pink cardstock. I mount it on a swiss dots embossed scallop circle (su scallop punch) then I put that popped up on a pink card that has been embossed and stamped thank you. easy peasy and she loved them last go round.

I was wondering what necrotizing was! Lol. I would love to see how your layout turns out! I haven't tried hand stitching other than straight lines!

I hope to finish up the baby shower LO that's been in progress all week before I need to leave for DDs softball game.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

papercrafter4life,
Very nice!! They sound wonderful and how generous and thoughtful!

Djsunday, when I began I felt like I took on too much. This is my first time handstitching. I just decided to go for it and I hope it works. A straight line might seem easy after this!!
Have fun finishing your layout .

LOL, I figured it was a typo, but I couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be, so thanks for explaining. Some auto corrects are really weird!

I am working on a layout of my son and his toddler daughter wearing Pirates of the Carribean head kerchiefs, and she was even saying, "AAARRRR!" So it's going to be a Pirate themed layout.

I am also working on a western layout of our family at the Ft. Worth Stockyard Maze. I've been kind of stuck on that one for awhile and finally have a few ideas for it.

I do mostly "event" scrapping.

I keep thinking I am going to sew on a layout, though. Someday. You'll need to post yours when you finish it so we can see!

Working on layouts of an outing on January 5th of this year (toboggan run, playing outside) and I have 4 more layouts to go. I'm embracing the "keep it simple silly" philosophy right now, just to get more pages finished.

DD and I are doing a painty, crafty day next weekend to get messy goodness all out of my system.

ScrapN nana,

How adorable!! I hope you share the pirate layout. You are getting a lot done!

LisaDv,
Sometimes simple is the way to go. When I force more sometimes I give up and stop scrapping.
Have fun getting dirty next weekend,

Working on our 2011 week at the lake. The layout I worked on today (or should I say necrotized, lol) is of my sister's many funny faces while riding on the Scrambler. I'm using my MS punch all over the page circle punch for the first time, putting loud pp behind plain cs, so her faces & the pp peek thru the circles. We'll see how it turns out . . .

I made 2 cards today, too!

Tomorrow I begin PL 2013. Yeah. I'm not too far behind . . .

I'm not scrapbooking, but I have been using my scrapbooking stash. I'm decorating styrofoam eggs with ribbon and baker's twine for my apothecary jars.

Trying to come up with ideas for scrapbook layouts and cards using the March Moodboard here.
I have a couple of trips to scrapbook...sho am i kidding...I have several...so i should be able to work these colours into something.
I need a Christmas card or two for a challenge I do here, so playing with the bits and bobs on my desk trying to chose my card design...might have to use a sketch!

Working on my PL pages. Finished 2 weeks tonight and halfway through a 3rd. Hubs came in to check on me and asked when I'm starting on our Disney album so I guess that's next on my agenda!

Necrotizing fasciitis or NF, commonly known as flesh-eating disease or flesh-eating bacteria syndrome,

Glad you're not working on that!!! The accompanying picture on Wikipedia is disgusting. Trust me. You do not want to see that. I had to google that word because it cracked me up! Was that auto-correct?

I'm working on 6 months of Project Life monthly! I've got all the photos in, some of the cards, going month by month and adding the cards and journaling and then at the end, I'll go back and embellish it all. Today I made a 12x12 layout and I love it!

Side ??? gotta ask WHO created the card in a box.

DOES ANYONE KNOW?????????????

It is just the neatest thing. We made two at a SU workshop and I am
so in love with the concept.
I have an Accucut machine and numerous box dies so decided to try and use one of the dies and not have to make my own box base. Right now I am using a box die that is smaller at the bottom and larger at the top. I will just cut the bottom off and have my box to decorate with flowers.
I am anxious to make some easter ones for the grandkids.

I just finished a two page layout using pictures of quilt barns on the Old Mission Quilt Trail in Michigan. These are old barns with large wooden quilts mounted on them. Google them to see if you wish. They are very cool.

I also made several cards with my new SU goodies. Yesterday morning I developed about a hundred pictures to scrap. I usually work in my scrap room, but I have found after several years of looking, a couple of places to crop here in Bloomington. I went to a CTMH workshop on Tuesday with some very nice older women, and they told me about a couple of churches that have open crops. I will spend time this week getting things organized so I can be productive at one being held this coming weekend.

I made a quick "new baby" card yesterday and went to M's for a new versamark pad. Decided to start using my embossing powders again... it's been a while since the powders and my heat gun saw the light of day.
My scrap room needs a re-organizing, there are lots of cards that need making, and I have a couple of crops coming up in April so want to prepare for that.

Finally started on our family Disneyland trip from Sept. Getting my photos organized. Got my first page done yesterday. Doing it with a mix of traditional pages and pocket pages. Looking forward to how it turns out!
Have really had my nose to the grindstone getting caught up on pages from last summer.

My niece asked me to scrap her trips, so I started with her trip to London. I hope to have it done by May. I have 6 layouts done so far.

I don't know what she will pay me - she gave me $125 for supplies. Don't know if she will give me anything beyond that so we'll have to renegotiate if I do additional albums for longer trips.

I'm working on cards. I'm normally a scrapbooker, not a card maker, so this is new and different for me. I rarely send cards, so I'm making a whole collection of cards for different occasions to give my mother as a gift. She sends a lot of cards, so I'm planning to give her a box with lots of different handmade cards, along with stamps and envelopes for all of them. I'll have fun making them, and she'll be proud to send them (even the beginner cards that I make look really nice to her!).
