For those who are confirmed scrap shoppers, do you like to shop as much for other things?

I am not really a shopper. I am a go, get what you need, and leave kind of girl. I actually don't like to shop in general, but I can spend hours in a scrapbook store. I don't even need to buy anything, I just love to be around the stuff, see all the new releases, discover some oldies but goodies that are still on the shelves, look at the layouts, and all the rest that goes with it. I even like to look at all the embellishments, and I rarely buy those.

I am a confirmed, hopelessly incurable, shop-a-holic when it comes to scrapbook supplies.

Anyone else?

Nope- I can spend hours looking for sb stuff, hours shopping for clothes, hours at Ikea, even hours at the grocery store. I try not to do that at any store though because when you wander the whole store and spend hours you end up picking up stuff you don't really need (and, in my recent-college-grad-with-an-entry-level-job case, probably can't really afford). If I had an unlimited budget or immense amounts of self-control I'd love to just wander around.

You would think that with this nasty 15lb weight gain I'd just be thrilled to shop for more clothes, but apparently my shopping desires begin and end with bigger-sized clothes for me.

I love to shop for everything. Just not me right this second, but usually!

I love shopping; it's my favorite sport.
I make lesser shoppers droop in exhaustion.
There are very few stores I do not enjoy.

I love shopping but hate people. It's hard to shop for clothes or home decor online, but super easy to shop for scrap stuff. So I've found my niche.

when I shop for clothes my trick is to go in looking grungy. Not dirty but frumpy.... baseball cap, my old jeans and a tank. I cannot stand being bothered.

When scrap shopping though, omg I can talk for hours with whomever is there...and look....and touch and dream..lol...

No, I'm not a shopper in general, either. I go to get what I want, find it, buy it, I'm outta there.

At the LSS, I'll wander around browsing for a long time.

My DD loves to shop, so she hates shopping at other stores with me, LOL! And I know when I go shopping with her, that it will be a lengthy expedition. Except when we would go to the LSS. She worked there, so she knew everything they had, and she didn't need to browse or linger.

My DD and I are opposites in our shopping habits!

Groceries, malls, etc no way.

Scrap stores, craft stores, home decor and organizational stores, yes way!

It's probably a good thing that IKEA and Container Store are not in my area. Tuesday Morning is enough of a distraction.

I generally do not like shopping. I will only go to the mall for something in particular and even then I park next to the store I need to go into. My husband does all the grocery shopping : ). The rest of the shopping, clothes, shoes, etc. is bought online as well as my scrap supplies

I mainly only enjoy shopping for clothes and scrap supplies. Oh, and maybe beauty products and shoes. Okay....I'm a hopeless shopaholic!!! I usually don't go crazy on everything at once, though. I'll buy tons of scrap stuff and no clothing for an entire month or two. Then, during seasonally changes, I go crazy on fashion and don't buy a single scrap item. I try to pace myself, but it doesn't usually work!!

My weakness and addiction are secondhand stores. I can spend hours in them.

When we travel, I like to check out the local stamp/scrap stores. I also like to go into those antique/used stuff "malls" and find one thing to bring home. It's sorta like a memento but it has to be useful.

The only other thing I like to shop for is pie.

Oh, I love second hand stores and antique stores, but I have waaaay too much stuff, so avoid them for the most part. I forgot about that obsession, but then, I'm trying to forget.

I am in and out in most other stores, but I LOVE to scrap shop. I can spend hours looking and touching products and looking at layout ideas. I do like to purchase a few things before I leave the store though. It is so fun to look for something new that I haven't seen yet. It is just a happy place to be.

This sounds like me! I haven't been inside a scrapbooking store or bought online for at least two months, but I've been adding a couple new pieces of clothing to my closet every week. I justify it because I am transitioning from a college student wardrobe to a professional one, and also because DC is as hot as $%#^ apparently even in April, so I don't think it will be possible for me to have enough summer clothes down here!

I should add that I have about $50 of stuff in my 2Peas cart. Just trying to get myself to bite that bullet and hit submit!

I to shop for anything and everything! It is probably my most favorite hobby, but unfortunately I do not have an endless supply of money. I do have fun trying to find the best deals I can find on things that I want. I do like being able to physically see things in the store, but do end up shopping more online especially for things like clothes because the selection is just bigger.

you read my mind!!! I LOVE to browse and shop for scrap stuff, but hate going for groceries and clothes. We tend to buy big things on impulse (TV, van, kitchen table and chairs) just because I hate to spend the time looking at 20 different products with various options. The one exception is IKEA, though. Good thing the closest one is 3 hours away and I only go once a year.

I like to shop for other things, especially clothes, but I am a bit obsessive about looking at new scrap stuff and will go to the box stores just to drool over the new stuff. (I feel wierd about going to an LSS and not buying, so I usually only go to them when there's a good chance I will find something I "need."

But, I have been known to, on numerous occasions, get left alone for a few hours in Santa Monica, CA by DH while he pursues acting training at a school there. It's home to several of the greatest beaches and one awesome mall that has an M's. I pop in and check out the M's then spend the vast majority of that time checking out all the other cool stuff in the mall, very rarely making it to the beach.

I used to be a "clotheshorse" and "shoehorse" until I gained some weight that I am still working on losing. I don't like my current size or shape so I refuse to buy nice clothes in my size. My shoe size also changed by 1/2 size so I haven't accumulated much yet in that size.

I have slowed down my s/b purchasing a lot. One reason is that I'm tired of finding a new place to store the stuff. A 10x12 room does have limits!

I'm always collecting something. Lately it has been rocks. (Healing crystals and bracelets) I bought myself several pretty ones for my birthday last week.

My shopping trends go through cycles. I could go months without buying a single thing other than groceries or minor necessities but then I'll go on some shopping kick that will last a few months. Usually it's either buying home decor/furnishings, saltwater aquarium supplies/livestock or scrapbooking stuff! Lately it has been scrapbooking. I will not buy anything else but scrapbooking stuff if I can help it! If I have extra spending money, I will most likely spend it on scrapbooking related things.
I've also gone on book shopping binges but it's been a while since I've gone book shopping unless it's for scrapbooking idea books.
I'm sure in a couple of months my shopping will stop for a while. It's already slowing down some because I'm finding myself with more stuff than I know what to do with!
I need to get scrapping and stop shopping!!

I don't like shopping in general. I go into a store get what I need and get out. I don't like to browse for anything. I personally cannot comprehend people going to the mall each weekend and just walking around as a fun thing to do, for me that would be a good form of torture. I have always disliked shopping but when I need to go...I go...get....leave as quickly as possible. I do like scrapbook shopping, but more online than in person. I still am not a huge browser in a LSS, I go and quickly look and get out.

Good thing I have friends who love to shop too b/c DH is not a fan! lol.

purses (even though I only buy one about every two years)
target browsing
toys for the kids
clothes when I am at a good weight (which is NOT now)

I am like you. I never shop for things. I haven't bought a new article of clothing in almost a year. I buy my groceries in bulk just to avoid having to shop. On the other hand, I can go to Michael's, JoAnn's and the LSS and spend half a day doing it. I love to SB shop. I am getting better about staying out of the stores because I already own everything.

Yes, I LOVE to shop. Even if I don't buy, I love to look! Lately I've been shopping alot not only for scrap supplies but clothes (for me and the kids for summer!) and also for stuff for the house. I've spent HOURS walking around Home Goods and walked out with nothing before but enjoyed looking...other times I could have spent a small fortune but just bought what I went in for

I really don't like shopping at all. It's sort of a necessary evil--so I only really go to the grocery store and Target when needed. I am a telecommuter, so the only clothes/shoes I really buy are a new pair of running shoes at Kohl's every 3 months or so when I have a good coupon...the florescent lights in most stores really bother my eyes and give me an enormous headache after about a half-hour so that's my time limit. Now online scrapbooking and stamping stuff, that's my weakness. Just yesterday I ordered from 2 Peas (lots of great stuff on sale and all the new goodies) and stocked up on adhesive (one ATG refill order and one Tombow mono refill order)...and I order from Papertrey Ink at least monthly...
Hubby's weakness is sports memorabilia (we have every Brewer bobblehead ever made) and going to the pet store for supplies for his aquarium...

I generally don't shop unless there's a sale. Oddly enough I love to shop for food items and school supplies. I love the Dollar Tree. I getstuff like Arizona iced tea, Little Debbie snack cakes, glue sticks and books for my students from there. I also love getting really cute shoes on sale.

I love to shop. I love to get new things. And I go in spurts of stuff. I buy tons of scrap supplies, then stop with that and move on to books. Then I move from books to clothes. Then back to scrap stuff. I always shop for something. Unfortunately, my budget can't always handle it.
