I'm in the middle of doing it right now.
The living room is cluttered with everything while my desk and scrap table are completely clear

I'm hoping to get it so organized that it will stay that way... yeah right!

This very minute, actually. It feels good to have a clean, un-cluttered space. But it never lasts. I'm a creative, messy person.

And that's OK.

Mmmm potatoes and chicken

Oh as for the revised post topic, I organized it when we moved into this house in January. I do little organizational tasks here and there just depends what is messy and buggin me at the time. Tonight I re-organized my metal embellishements holder.

My room is always in a state of re-organization.

Am finding the neater i am the easier to find things and get on to make things. So at the end of each big project, while matchy matchy stuff is already all over the table, use it up on cards and tags for future and put things away.

Guess it is all about making yourself comfortable, so as long as you are happy, go for it.

I've been working on it for almost 2 years!

We had roof, wall and carpet damage from rain and wind storms two springs back and I had to quickly remove, go through and box up stuff that wasn't damaged. So nothing was organized or labeled.

Selecting a contractor and getting all the work done took almost six months. Since then it has been total chaos in here while I have tried out different organizational systems and tried to sort all this stuff.

I can actually walk through part of the room now and I think I'm about 2/3s organized now.

It's been awhile since I've done a total re-do, but I am arranging and rearranging all the time. It's part of the fun to me, besides it reacquaints me with all my goodies, so nothing gets forgotten for too long.

Buy it - - arrange it - - Use it. My 3 fav things, in no particular order.

I just need help with my scraps! They are out of control!! I've used an accordian file for years (which has pretty much now lost its shape from being stuffed) and I've moved onto those huge plastic ziplock bags but they are so heavy and slippery! I'm marinating on donating them to a lady in town who lost everything in a fire. Is that lame?

Last time was a couple of weeks ago but I need to do it again! I've gotten some new things and they are just now sitting on top of my work table. Plus I've been trying to better organize my papers and embellishments. I'm a visual scrapper, need to see it or I'll forget is there! I'm hoping my new peg board will help with that a bit.
Just thinking about it makes me want to run home and play!!

I started about a month ago and got most of it taken care of and put away, but needed one more storage container and couldn't find it. Finally gave up and got on in a different color. I still have a few things to put away but I'm liking it (for now).

I'm on a break from working on mine. One thing that helps keep me motivated when I'm cleaning it to look through the gallery at all the neat and tidy rooms people have posted.

Like you, I'd like to get to the point where I clean up after every project. All of my friends who use this technique get a lot accomplished and can see the floor in their scraprooms!

It seems to be an ongoing project. I do try to clean up after scrapping, but I am always changing things, buying new organizing holders and moving stuff around. Sometimes I feel like I organize more than I crop.

This past weekend. We just moved the house around a few weeks ago. I gotta make room for my loads of THickers coming in this week! DH just got to arranging my power outlets so I can finally use my Cricut and heat gun. My best organizing investment was my Clip It Up.
Here's my new room:

I clean and organize my scrap room after each project. If a project lasts more than one scrapping session, I at least tidy everything into neat piles. If I do more than one project during a scrap session, I put everything away completely in between.

I make a HUGE mess when I am scrapping and so if I didn't keep it under control like this, the scrap mess would take over the house and we'd be totally buried within a matter of days.

A week ago Sunday I purged some things and reorganized. It felt so good to get a few things put away that needed a home. I also got a Clip It Up and filled it full and found a home for it.

After toting practically everything to a 14 hour crop this weekend, I unpacked and put everything away. Soooo, that means I have to organize a little so I don't have to haul practically everything out again next time I go to a crop.

I'm halfway done with my room...my DH installed new shelving for me and repainted a couple months ago. I have most of my stuff organized by theme but still have some patterned papers to sort through and my flowers and buttons need to be sorted somehow. Of course, I have made some new purchases and they need to be put in their place...in truth, I need a bigger room but that isn't going to happen since we need a guest room for the kids when they come to town.

Jennifer - Scraps are a good thing ! Try color groups in shoebox sized craft/photo boxes. Your idea of passing along some things to the person that lost things in a fire is heartwarming. Last Mothers day I went to bed at 10 pm only to be awakened at 2 am by a neighbor screaming from our front yard - FIRE-FIRE- GET OUT! I lost a lot of things and so appreciated what was given to me to rebuild my stash. Now a year later I am happy to have things to organize ! Almost a year later- a new craft room and loving it. It's twice the size of the burnt one!

Anyone want to come to the Denver area and get me organized?? LOL I have a very small bedroom as my scraproom, and it's a disgrace! I really need to just buckle down and get it done, but it never happens : ( I need to spend some time looking at the gallery of scrap spaces and see if I can get motivated.

My room is in a constant state of rehash....every time I see a neat way to store something or a great shelving unit or whatever, I get this urge to re-organise!! I'm pretty happy with my space, though....it has everything I need.

More than a year ago. I think I've found a system that works for my process. I do like to go through my paper stash every few monthes & then I give them to my SIL who is a teacher. I'm pretty anal about organization all over my house though, so the organization in my scraproom is not out of the ordinary for me.

Well I kept my word from my earlier post, that I doubted
I would change my buying habits in May (don't buy as much
as I used to since my LSS I worked at closed) -- but have 2 scrap rooms in the house, and stuff elsewhere in house as well.

So in short, bought about 4 or 5 things today...nothing
big and ackward to store

Life is too short......BUY THE SHOES!!!!!
