Have you seen this?!?!?!

As I was perusing the Studio Calico Blog I came across this tutorial on misting but also noticed the border punch.

Immediately I went over to the EK site and alas no listing....yet.

Anybody have any info on this punch or availability or sightings? I hope I haven't started a frenzy

I bought that one last week at Michaels. I really like the large scallop but, the embossed part doesn't seem to emboss the image evenly on each cut. I wish that it didn't have the embossed part and just cut the scallop border.

I do like it and will probably use it a lot. I did notice that like their other punches it doesn't cut thin paper very well but, it does a good job on cardstock.

I wonder if you punched it upside down, if the embossing wouldn't be as apparent?

I saw this on a blog this morning and all I can say is that I've been drooling ever since! I am so going to be buying this one! I love it! The embossing doesn't bother me...I actually rather like it! It's just and added 'oomph' of sorts.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I love it! The embossing is very subtle but I like it. Totally agree about the thin paper....the punch got stuck but cuts like butter on heavy cardstock. I'd definatly get this punch if you're a scallop fan!

Thin paper does get stuck in it every time. I agree that it would be better looking and functioning without the embossing. It the most difficult one to use out of the 6 or so EK punches that I own. Got it at 50 off, so not that disappointed.

That is a cool punch.
I'm loving those EK Success punches. They are so much easier to store since they lock shut.

Wow, I saw that at M's the other day and it didn't even register with me that it was a scallop. I guess it's the embossing that confused me. I thought it was some kind of wave thing. I too wish that it did not have the embossing.

Thanks for the info- would someone mind punching it on the opposite side and letting us know if the embossing is that noticeable if punched from behind? Thanks!

From "v" to "v" it's just under 2 inches. I went into Mike's last week looking for the apron lace punch and came out with this one instead. I love it!

If you don't push hard- just enough to go through the paper the embossing is non existent.

I love this punch!

I bought it last week at Micheals.

It sticks and jams with thinner paper.

I got one yesterday at M's and have been playing with it. Yes, it does jam and stick. Right now mine is "really" stuck. I think I'm taking it back for another one or a refund. Haven't decided which yet. Can't get it unstuck at all.

resurrecting an old post but ...

I am loving this punch. Did a search to try and put a link on my blog but hard to find! I did find this review. I got it at M's for 50% off. Just did a post on my blog with it: cards by cara scallop punch post

It's a nice wide scallop of about 2 inches or so. Do any of you find you use a smaller scallop punch more often? I have been wanting one but have found them hard to find at my local M's. Might check out the PTI scallop die but not sure if I want to whip out my C-bug every time I want a scalloped edge ...

I've had this one for over a year, it's not a new punch but I think a lot of people don't realize it's a large scallop because of the packaging. I love this one and can avoid the emboss by not using a lot of pressure when punching but it's still adorable even when the emboss comes through.

I've been wanting a large wide scallop punch .. like this one .. but I do NOT want the embossing -- which is why I haven' purchased this punch. Maybe I'll get it and try as the previous poster suggested ... without a lot of force. But .. I think that EK punches need a bit of muscle behind them so it may end up being a self defeating circle

Wish I'd seen this post before I posted about mine. I was working on a card for a baby shower I'm going to tomorrow and my punch quit working. The paper is stuck up inside and I can't see a way to get it out or take the punch apart.

It is a beautiful punch though. The embossing is a nice accent too. Hope I can get mine to work again!

Can anyone please tell me where I can find this punch. I've looked all over

I bought the edger punch but it punches the edge of the paper and doesn't leave the punched border. Thanks

I'm pretty sure I got this at Michaels. Joanns may have it also.

Are you talking about it not leaving an embossed border? If you, you just have to press it down firmly to get that. Otherwise you get a faintly embossed edge.
