I'm going to a crop tomorrow. I'm so excited. I host crops often but it's been over 2 years since I went to a crop just to scrap for myself. It's from 9am to 9pm on Saturday and I'm going to drag my tired self out of bed early tomorrow so I'm there right at 9. Don't you feel like you have to get the maximum amount of crop time when you're paying for it?
Speaking of which, the cost for this one is $35 and it includes continental breakfast, lunch, beverages, and snacks. Proceeds go to the local women's shelter. It was $45 but I think she was having trouble getting sign-ups so she moved it to a cheaper venue and dropped the price by $10. That's when I decided I could go, LOL!
There will be use of a Cricut machine which is nice, so I'll take my carts with me. I only have 4 so I love having access to all the others that people will share.
There's also a massage therapist who does shoulder/neck massages but I'll have to pass on that. Rather use my money for shopping...there will be a few vendors there from CM, SU!, and Memory Works.
Anyone else have a crop coming up anytime soon? Give us all the deets, please! |

I'm going to a weekend crop in mid September. It's hosted by a lss near me and the best part is that the majority of the people that will be attending are the same ladies that I usually scrap with. The crop will be round the clock (for those that could stay up that long) and will have several make-n-takes and classes complete with kits. I'm taking 2 of the album classes! I haven't been scrapping much lately so I'm really excited about getting some serious scrapping done. |

gotta love those around the clock crops!!! I have been to two this year (and I just started scrapping in Feb!)
I am actually cropping tonight at my LSS....they have crops thru out the month. You pay a small fee for the whole year and then any of the monthly crops are free to Crop Club Members!!! The "special" ones we still pay for, but it's so worth it!
We always have a good time at our crops...lots of joking around, singing(!), etc. We are a FUN bunch of ladies!!!
Have fun at your crop and enjoy! |

Lucky you! I love going to crops but there never seems to be many where I live. I go to one every year that is a fund raiser for a school and always have a great time at it. |

I am going to a weekend crop in Big Bear next week! We arrive Friday, and leave Sunday. I am in the middle of a move, so I will not have much to take with me! That is okay, because after this year, I just want to sit and relax! LOL I will be seeing girlfriends, I have not seen in a year. So the money I spent to sit, is well worth this trip! I cannot wait!!! |

I'm headed to a retreat in 2 weeks! I can hardly stand the wait!
It's an absolutely gorgeous log cabin in the woods! It's so relaxing! We cropped in the loft. It was nice because that's where the computer was with the CM journal box software we could use. The center has a bunch of things you can use, including a lot of CM tools, Cricut and cartridges, and a Sizzix. One of my friends brought her Cricut, so we set up an area not being used by croppers as the Cricut station. It was great! The kitchen is goregous! It was too warm for me to go sit in the hot tub, but I hope to at the retreat in 2 weeks! Fall in MN should be perfect weather for it. Then again, it's been known to be 90 degrees in September! LOL!
I just got an Expression as a gift for my birthday. I'm excited to take it to share with the gals. We'll have 10 cartridges between the 2 of us. Oooohhh...It's going to be so much fun! | |

Whooo hoooo!! I am leaving in 20days (but who is counting?) This is our 9th year, we scrap at a YMCA camp right outside of the Sequoia National Park. I paid for an extra day so I will be there for 4days!! Here is the description:
Imagine two full days and nights of uninterrupted scrapping time…buffet meals and snacks provided…no dishes to wash or house to pick up…lots of kindred scrappers to visit with and share ideas…peaceful, sierra lake-front location…prizes and goodies…tools and supplies at your fingertips…it’s camp for croppers!
Your weekend begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Pick your spot in our spacious dining hall — turned Crop Site. You’ll have a 4’x3’ crop space, that’s 12 square feet, large enough to hold all your supplies and projects. You’ll have access to our tools, including a light table, idea books, example gallery, computer station for printing, journaling and clip art, professional paper cutter, decorative scissors, stencils, chalks, punches, stamps, and cutting tools.
Throughout the weekend you’ll have technique classes and outdoor camp activities to choose from. We’ll have experts on site with lots of tips and ideas. Crop, learn
and play at your own pace!
Two weekends are available: Sept 10-13 and Sept17-20. Check out www.camptq.org for more info and prices. |
