And really, my life would go on without it. But, I keep having visions of using it on the plane when traveling for work, at crops to plan out titles and embellishments without having to haul my cricut and carts, at the Dr. office when I'm waiting to be seen. I mean, my creative productivity will explode, right?
Ugh, but $300--I just can't fathom that when I've already spent hundreds on the machine and carts. Why can't they just make an iPhone ap and charge for that? I could much more easily justify an iPhone. |

Yeah, I'm trying to talk myself out of it too but the Flex Pay that HSN is having is making me really want it. I can't spend $300 at one time without feeling guilty about it but $59.99 a month doesn't seem so bad, right???? Hmmmm...what do you think?

Thanks to HSN and flex pay...I am letting the guilt go and getting one. I am tired of fighting with my husband over MY laptop so I can use my software. At least with the gyspy I can still craft without my computer nearby. |

Me too. I have been on the Cricut board all day. THey have the HSN coupon code and HSN is taking orders already. Gypsy to be delivered on Thursday. So people are getting it for 245. with accessories, plus tax and shipping on flex pays.
I want it but i only have 7 carts, I have SCAL, DS and a laptop...but I still really want it....and the crazy thing...I have't scrapbooked for 5 monts...just started looking at the boards about 3 days ago. |

I know I have been having the same issue, my since my DH lost his job my scrap allowance was cut down, so I have been praying that I win one in the contest I entered, as well as the vacation if I win, that i havnt had in over 4 years! vaca and gypsy definately wanted bad!!! |

What is the coupon code and where did they get it? The one I got from my e-mail is a 15% off coupon but it says it doesn't work on Today's Special Value.
Does the Flex Pay still works if you use a coupon? Thanks for any info I can get. |

I think they're NUTS! I mean, yeah it's gimicky and cute, but it doesn't *do* anything. It's a fairly basic piece of software - just like Sure Cuts a Lot (which is a lot less expensive)!
This kinda bums me out actually

Sorry I have lots of questions but I'm really considering buying this but can't decide if I should get it now or wait till the presentation.

At the moment, I'm not really interested. I just have the baby bug (which I love) and if I'm going to spend $250-$300, I'll buy an Expression. Or, if there's some crazy deal for black Friday, like $150, then I might buy it. For now, I'll wait and see how people are using it. | |

I've gone back and forth with it. I gave in and just ordered it! I figured, like a previous poster, that breaking it up into payments makes it not so bad!
I was wanting design studio, and now I have it and it's portable, too!
Can't wait to get it!

I'm not interested at all. I do like the carts that come preloaded on it, don't get me wrong, but it's really not justifiable to me.
That's $300 that can go towards supplies, vinyl, carts, deep cutting blades and MORE!
You said it!! I have just about quit buying stuff so that I will have the time to enjoy and use all this other stuff I just "had to have"! I am gonna let the Gypsy wait! |

By the way, if TSV is better than the deal for buying today, you can get a charge adjustment by calling in...but remember if you used a coupon that does no qualify for TSV, then you probably have to add that amount back on. |

I love hand cutting paper, but I'm caving and getting both on the 24th with ez pay. Being able to take the Gypsy anywhere so I can create stuff and weld images together to cut makes it totally worth it for me. In return I promise to be a good girl and use the vast amounts of supplies I already have. |

Color me silly - but I was dissapointed that the Gypsy won't allow true type fonts. If it did - I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But with the economy like it is - I can't justify buying it for what it does --need to do stuff like fix the DDs bathroom piping issues instead - how boring is that LOL

Same here. I love my baby bug (I think I bought it the 1st month that cricut's came out) and have around 12 carts or so.
So far, I've met all my scrapping needs without DS, SCAL or Gypsy so I don't think I will invest anymore (unless a cart comes out that I simple can't resist). | |

I just called and they said they only selected a few to be sold early and they are sold out of those. They said they should have more at Midnight Eastern time. (WATCH EARLY...They said they will probaby show it EARLY)
I think the bundle is $349.95 but they are going to sell it for $299

Gypsy is a handheld Design Studio that you can use on the go. YOu upload all your carts to it and then desing on it. it connects to your Cricut via USB cord and cuts. You will not need to have a cart in the CE but you will have to own the cart and upload it to Gypsy before you can cut an item
By the way OP, if all you are looking for is to be able to design on the go and then cut from your DS on your computer, currently you can do that with the IPHONE. There is a paid application LOGMEIN that allows you to log into your PC or laptop remotely. Then you can open up DS and design to your hearts content. The control mouse takes a little getting use to but I use LOGMEIN all the time. ( not for DS) but I tried it right now and it works.
So if you are just wanting GYPSY so you can design on the go, and you own an Iphone, buy LOGMEIN for 29.99 and you can do it. |

IM THE SAMEEEEEEEEE way. IM sitting here wanting this thing SOOOOOOOOOOO BAD Im about to just cry. but I have so many medical bills and Im on interferon, I DONT TRAVEL but I AM In bed alot and sick alot so IT WOULD BE FUN to do while Im in bed alot, BUT who am I KIDDING, 300 bucks please that is a car NOTE or my medication and WOULD I REALLLLLY USE THIS THING THAAAAAAAAAAAAT MUCH please. I am finally if I can stay shingle and staph infection free long enough gonna be able to get my dental surgery so that is going to be christmas this year probably. I watched HSN and am ho-hum about this Gypsy. My first thought was "SCAL", and my next thought was that it was a newer version of Design Studio. Meh. They'll probably say "meh" too, when the next version of Gypsy doesn't require so much tap-tap-tapping on the screen.
But if you're stuck in a plane a lot, or hellacious traffic each day, bedridden, or various other ways one can be stuck with nothing to do, this is a great way to be creative without lugging a lot of stuff!
