Totally unfair and very bad business. If you screw up, you make it right. Is your business so bad you can't buy another Gypsy?

Oh My!
If you look at the Cache Oct 16th it clearly says that "blue6366" won.
Then the next day... google cache Oct 17th ...they took down her name and had "NOTHING". Then later that day added Anita's.
It certainly couldn't have been because blue6366 didn't respond in a timely fashion (she had 7 days to respond) because her time isn't even up yet! It seems that they sent the email to the wrong individual and then claim that blue6366 couldn't have won because the contest ules said "the winner would get an email" and she didn't therefore she was not the winner (even though they announced on the blog that she was!)

I have a feeling "Anita from GA" isn't even real but they screwed up by posting a real person's name instead. Bad business.

I saw that at Cricut MB and what a crappy thing to do. They have lost any respect that they had from anoyne over there. They will go down quickly I am sure because no one with patronize them. |

She needs to contact her state's Attorney General's office. There are laws regarding contests, bait & switch, etc. I hope she does.

Sounds like they need to make it right. Otherwise the consequences could be devastating now that it has leaked out. It was their mistake, not hers. I won't buy from that company if this is the way they handle their business

I read the thread over there. Anita in GA posted. She is offering to give the Gypsy to Barbara. That is so nice of her. But, she is a victim too! I think this company needs to send BOTH of them a Gypsy!

I agree...I do not think ANITA needs to be the one to right the wrong (sweet of her to offer).....I won't be surprised that the site offering the prize falls off the face of the internet world. |

That is so nice that Anita in Ga offered the Gypsy. They both deserve one and if that company wants to stay in business, they should do the right thing and make sure both women get one. Like I said above, is their business so bad that they can't afford to spend the $$$? Crazy!!! Anita, if you read here, you are a class act!

I may be blind, but does this site even sell anything? It seems like it's just free tutorials. I don't even see ad space they're making money from. |

Okay, I see now, it's Ebay! I clicked on several links where this site helpfully sends you to the place "with the best price" and it appears they all go Ebay listings for Cricut products. Nice.
Bleck. Is this run by the same people who post annoying and plentiful ads on Craiglist around the country....clearly against Craigslist's TOU? Wouldn't surprise me... |

The link in the OP is to the Cricut mb, where the lady who won is posting about the problem. The contest was on another site she mentions in her thread--
Yesterday morning I fiound out that the contest I had entered over at cartridgehelper.com had posted me the winner of their Gyspy giveaway and that I had 7 days to claim my prize.
I looked on that site but didn't see anything for sale there, either, just info on Cricut, Pazzles, etc. |
