Oh, I didn't know Mario is his partner! I just knew that Mario helps him out in his studio, etc.

And you know this how? That's a pretty damaging thing to say about someone if he is, in fact, in a committed relationship. If he's not in a committed relationship, with Mario or anyone else, then it is still rude because it isn't our business.

I don't have a personal friendship with him, I've only seen him at many shows and he's always gracious and welcoming to everyone that he encounters at these things. He is very talented and gives a lot to the industry. Can't we allow him some privacy in his personal life?

Fantasize from a distance if you want, but don't go putting things out there about his personal time. That's just mean.

I agree with Lexica and Sdevin.

Tim is a creative genius who freely shares his gift with others. I have gotten lots of free inspiration from his blog and videos. I have taken classes from him and he is one of the best and most considerate instructors I have ever had. In every class of his that I have taken he has gone out of his way to make sure that every student left with freebies & a project that they were happy with. He has instigated paper swaps & color swaps between class members so everyone got what they wanted. He even gave me an extra piece of something because I did not follow instructions and messed up my 1st one. (He didn't need to do that but it's just the kind of person he is).

Tim has earned our respect. His private life is none of our business.

Straight, Gay, Committed or Not, he's an amazing artist with a great personality. It's natural for people to be curious about someone who captures their imagination like TH does. He is definitely a scrapbooking Rock Star!! What he chooses to do in his personal life doesn't really concern me, I'd love him one way or another. I actually think it's a little cool that he is a 'man of mystery.'

I've never met the man or taken a class with him, but I sure would love to... Part of that is because of his talent, part is because of his famous aura (okay, I'll admit I'm a groupie), and another part is because of his reputation for generosity and professionalism.

I'm not picking on the pea that posted this, I just wondered if it really is "natural" to wonder about someone's sex life??

Honestly and truthfully, I have NEVER cared about anyone's sex life but my own! Maybe that makes me selfish, I don't know. If there is a sexual fantasy going on in my head, **I'm** the star, thankyouverymuch! It is all about ME!

I don't wonder about my coworkers, neighbors, friends. or scrap celebrities. I can't be that different than everyone else, can I? The only way I'd care about TH's sexuality is if I was planning on "doing him" myself! And I'm not! So it doesn't enter my brain space.

Who is with me on this? Do you really look at your neighbors and wonder what goes on in their personal lives?

I don't think you have to apologize for anything. You were just asking about his marital status, not stalking him or lurking into his sex life, as some have suggested. The one who should apologize is the person who made the remark about him playing the field.

She wasn't wondering anything about anyone's sex life, she simply asked if he was married. And, yea, I think that's a natural curiousity about someone.

If someone hadn't been being a jerk in their response to this thread, then no one would have thought anything of it. Like I didn't think anything of it when someone asked me if my boss is married the other day. And trust me, the questioner did not want to hit on him, and they certainly didn't want to know what he does in his bedroom.

Ok, you need a little lesson on message boards and the internet.

1. If the subject matter is something you don't approve of, just hit the back button and move on.
2. People will always question anyone that puts themself in the "spotlight". Tim is in the spotlight, heck in my book he is the spotlight. I'm pretty sure he can handle it.
3. I think the OP wasn't bashing anyones private life, I didn't see anyone placing judgement, etc. It was a question.

You stated you didn't sign up for this on a scrapbooking site.
If you didn't sign up for this, then why did you open a thread about his personal life?

Edited to add... I adore Tim. He's an excellent teacher, a great artist and an all around compassionate person. He should be proud of himself.

Sugarcoated, I wasn't saying snow4197 was wondering about TH's sex life, I was saying I wasn't picking on Kisingombe, who posted the portion I quoted about it being "natural" to wonder.

She made the comment that it was natural to wonder, and I'm wondering if it really is all that common for people to care about!

I can clearly see that snow4197 posed an innocent question and I can see who posted the post that made this thread turn south.

I know TH gets this type of thing all the time, and I think we owe him the respect to quit poking into his private life. I think we owe that to EVERYONE. My comment was that I can't be the only person who never wonders about what anyone else is doing beneath the sheets!

Since my screen name has been brought up, I will clarify my comment regarding the natural tendency for some people to be curious about famous people. I meant whether he is married, with children, etc. NOT what he does in his bedroom.

I know I will probably regret posting since some people will turn ANY comment negative, and I only opened this thread originally because I love everything Tim touches and I tend to open just about anything to do with his products, etc. My bad.

Publicity is a mixed blessing for all famous people, I'm sure. On one hand they want to create a persona and a brand of themselves so their products sell. On the other hand, they have the desire to guard their private lives from the judging eyes & hearts of others. So glad I don't have to deal with that.

I have wondered if he was married and had kids...his children would have all kinds of talent and creativeness and a I believe he would be a great dad....but that was all I wondered about not the sexual behavior and I think the poster was just asking if he was married as well.

That said...I am having a class this coming Friday with him....he is so talented and funny , just a wonderful person. He is going to be at the Stampaway Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, Friday (class) and Sat.for the Convention.

I guess I'm wayyyyy too open minded, because I could care less if he is sleeping around. I would think it was trashy if his partner didn't know about it and I have no reason to speculate, so I'm not going to say anything about that. However, maybe the person who posted it has some personal insight on the matter?

I mean, didn't the board sit and dish on some woman who left a scrapbook company because she had an affair with someone there and then they started their own company? I don't want to tell tales out of school, but there were people who were appalled at her behavior and said so. Again, maybe this was fact and not speculation and if that's the case and it was all out in the open, I totally get the difference.

I have, though, always wondered why people seem put off if someone famous they are turned on by is gay. I mean, really, what chance do you have with them anyway? Fantasy is fantasy.

You know, some people are married or are in life-long relationships and openly date other people. Not all people are super monogamous, and that's really okay. There's cheating, and then there's people who date other people. Polyamory (as opposed to cultlike polygyny, which is usually not a good sign) is consensual and desirable for more people than you might think. I don't know what TH's situation is, but there's now way of knowing that all parties aren't perfectly happy about it.

My girlfriend (yes, I'm a gay pea) is poly (I'm not) and I'm fine with that. Occasionally she dates other people. I don't mind. Is that so bad?

I thought this was a simple thread about whether TH is married. That has nothing to do with anyone's personal life, straight gay or indifferent. How we ended up getting to WAY too much information about peoples lives is truly beyond me. I opened this thread because I was wondering if he was married, which I think is pretty cool if he is. I live in a place where marriage equality is the law so I really didn't care WHO he was married to just IF.

And to the venomous cowgirl he must have turned you down to inspire that much bitterness on a MB. I notice how you haven't had the guts enough to come back and post.

1. Tim is a cutie. FACT
2. Tim is OUTRAGEOUSLY TALENTED. Fact
3. Tim is amazingly generous w/his talent. FACT.
4. Tim is a celebrity. Puts himself out there. Fact.
5. People are going to speculate on those they deem celebrity status. Fact.

It's part of fame. I really doubt he's going to come on here and be outraged that someone suggested he's adventerous in his love life. Kinda boggles my mind how so many peas are outraged by someone's silly suggestion.

HOW DARE YE! angry eyes and all that.

Funny how some of you so easlily ban others to hell.

And sue? Really? Here we go again. But you need to go old school here.... it's SEW.... SEW for libel.
