Well, this week is another easy one for me. I only have a Cricut and a Cuttlekid (don't ask). I use SCAL, but do have a few cartridges that are stored in a drawer in my cubes. I also have a few Quickutzs dies (Reuse and Jolly) that I store in a glass container on one of my shelves.
I bought my Cricut Expression during all the hype. I use it some, but not as much as I should. My goal was to be able to cut my own Thicker like letters. |

Easy week for me as well, my cutters and dies are nicely put in thier places, dies are in a cube drawer, sizzix on my cutting station and gazelle is on a shelf on my desk.
QOTW: Sizzix Big Kick (I wanted the most durable die cut machine) and Bosskut gazelle I wanted a cutter that I could design my own things on and not have to spend more money on cartridges. |

QOTW - I got the Slice to cut down on my letter sticker consumption/purchases and because I have very few punches. Cutting down the letter sticker purchases hasn't seemed to happen but, I do use it almost every time I scrap so I'm happy. Now about gluing the die cuts down some kind of Xyron maybe? lol like I need more stuff.
Easy week: the slice and its glass mat is a cubby. I recently bought an SD Card wallet to store the cards. It lives in a zip lock with the manuals behind the Slice. I don't think I'm going to purchase the specialty slice storage stuff. It's too large for my space.
I'm going back to die cuts now. I'm thinking that the binders really need to be purged. The more sorted things get the thicker the binders get. Since I have a three binder max (2 really - 1 holds pics only) ...

I have no dies or die cutting machine, so I can mark this week done
Thanks June
We were all ready to leave the house and did a last minute check and sure enough no flying due to the ash clouds. The airport closed at 4 in the morning.
So we await for more info. We got a call at 11 to go to the airport because they start flying a 2 again. So instead of flying at noon we were delayed till 7 o clock and arived at midnight in the hotel.
But we got there and had a wonderfull time. |

I own the original red sizzix machine, and the sidekick. I have all my cuttlebug embossing folders, sizzlits, and dies in the 3 drawers of my desk.
I enjoy seeing how everyone else stores their stuff, and I have to keep talking myself out of reorganizing this. Everything fits perfectly in these drawers, so there is no *need* to do anything different. |

QOTW: I have had Quickutz Revolution since the thing came out. Thought I would use it more, but I do still like the alphas. I also have a Cuttlebug. I enjoy it because all my sizzix dies and embossing folders fit.
My dies all have a home, but the task for me is to think about some kind of reference so I know what I have. I will have to think about that a bit. I plan to go back and read the old threads for some ideas, but if anyone has something that works for indexing the dies, please share
Pitje, glad you got to go in spite of the ash cloud!
Leisa welcome back. |

Crazy day!! I opened this thread at 8 am and am only getting a chance to respond now!!
Glad you made it safe and sound Pitje!! I can't believe how long that ash cloud is hanging around messing with the air space.
Jen - that you almost reported yourself!! I can't tell you how many times I almost did that myself!! LOL
I have sizzlit dies, cuttlebug, quickutz and the cricut. While all of my storage solutions are OK for each, they're all all over the place and I can never find what I want!!
I did like some ideas on the original thread - the cricut image book and the binder for the dies ... I'll have to play around this week and see what I come up with.
We're busy as anything this weekend (just so you don't think I'm snoozing Crisann ) Off to Marineland tomorrow and DS has a last minute birthday party Sunday and DH wants to tackle the garage while DS is busy. Good times What's everyone else's plan for the weekend??

I have a cricut and a big shot. I just line all my cartridges up on one of my slatwall shelves. And I have a very few dies for the big shot. Those are in a cd storage box. Oh and my sizzlit alphas are in sterile little boxes that I got the idea from someone on here. Pretty organized, just wish I had more shelf space in general. I really use both of the machines pretty often. The cricut maybe more but I do use my sizzlit alphas quite a bit.

Yay, I can skip this one ~ never bought a die cut machine.
I never could justify the expense of it. When I was tempted, I always found another way to make my page. But, man, they sure do look like fun!

you know what, I probably should catalog the cutting images for my BossKut because they don't have thumbnail pics to them. Here I thought I would have an easy week. |

Jumping it to say a quick hello! We are moving into our new house this next week. Been busy cleaning all the carpets, like 3000 sq ft! We are very fortunate to be buying this new to us home, and now I'm trying to decide which room will be mine! I have 2 choices, I know . . . . Well gotta get back to it!
Oh die cuts, already organized! I do have a ton of QuicKutz; bought many of the alphas before the electronic cutters were the rage. Those have been organized by theme forever. Have a few sizzix, BossKut, sizzlets, hum embossing folders. All of those are organized in a 3 ring binder stored with the QuicKutz dies. I also own a very nice Klic-N-Kut electronic cutter; everything is programed on a computer to cut. Gotta go now!

I have two traditional die-cutting machines, a Cuttlebug and a Sidekick. I keep the Sidekick because it's super small and portable and fits in a crop bag easier than my Cuttlebug. The accessories, larger dies and embossing dies for both are in baskets near them, and the small dies are also nearby in 4 of those little pink metal boxes that Quickutz used to make (I had a squeeze handle but I sold it a long time ago - it made my hands hurt).
I also have a Cricut. I keep the accessories for it in a canvas bin on the same shelf. The cartridges are in an old Pepsi crate that I got at an antique store - it holds them perfectly.
I have both kinds of diecutting machines because I can't use my embossing folders with my Cricut, and because I like and use the alphabet and shape dies I invested in years ago when I had my Quickutz.

pitje - glad you're back and had a good time.
Kris74 - it's quite here too. Working on deleting/editting/sorting photos right now. I'm still chugging through photo organization. I'm starting to worry it won't be done by the time the challenge is over.
Not much going on this weekend it's the first weekend we've been home alone in a month and there is some serious catching up to do around here. |

I only have a Cricut, and it was moved into place when the hostile take-over started. I'd love to get a die cutter for chipboard (for making albums), but not sure what to get.
Crisann- guest free yet?
Kris74- nice weather? we have rain...again. What else do you expect, I guess, in Seattle area.

I mostly have quickutz, cuttlebug, and sizzlits dies - just a few of the bigger sizzix dies. I have mine sorted by theme and stored in the plastic photo cases by Iris. They fit the embossing folders as well. I have those stored in a small black wire re-organize cart I got at Target. It holds all my machine accessories etc.
I own a cuttlebug only - suits all my needs thus far.

Back on track and loving how my work space is coming together.
Question of the week: What die cutting machines do you own and why?
I purchased an original Sizzix machine and some Sizzlets back when I first started scrapping. Sold it a few years ago since I never used it. The Sizzlets were replaced once I discovered CTMH's clear alpha stamps.
I don't own any of the electronic machines, but I did purchase a Cuttlebug about 9 months ago. I mainly use it for embossing, but just recently picked-up some cheerleading and breast cancer ribbon dies during the Big Lots sale. My CB machine lives in the Expedite along with a pretty box that holds the embossing folders and dies. The spacer block, cutting pads and die adapter don't fit in the box so they just stand at the back of the cubbie for now. Once my stash of folders and dies increases, I'll purchase a larger box and make sure it will hold everything.
Look for a blog update with photos sometime tomorrow.
~crisann~, I haven't said this in a while, but a huge thanks for keeping this challenge going! |

QOTW: I own the cricut (baby one) and the original sizzix, plus just today I bought the big kick. Yay me!!! I've been wanting that! The cricut I got for my birthday last year because DH thought I would like it. I do, it's fun. And the sizzix I have had since it first came out. I use them both quite a bit.
For storing them, I have my sizzlets in a small picnic basket, just because I think they're cool in there. They fit in the areas perfectly. My other sizzix dies and cricut cartridges are in drawers in my 3-drawer unit that I will be at some point decoupaging and chalkboard painting. You notice I said at some point? hee hee hee The Cricut and Sizzix sit on top of the cabinet. Everything is all together, which is soooo convenient.

Congrats on 13 years Glad the movie wasn't too terrible ... isn't that the one with Jake what's his name with longish hair??
Eclectic stuff - I think the rain went that far north. Guelph is about an hour or so north of where I am. We've had rain on and off all day today too so finally, one day I didn't have to drag the sprinklers out
So how's the 52 CPU?? Everyone having fun?? I decided not to sign up for it this time. Spent too much at the LSS lately so it really ate into my budget

Hi, everyone, hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend.
I have an org. red Sizzix, a cuttlebug and my very DH bought me a Cricut Expression for Mother's Day.
All my sizzix dies are organized either in a tower(sizzix) or in an old CD storage rack. I don't have alot of Cuttlebug, Cricut carts, or Nestabilities but what I do have fit into drawers under my "cutting desk". I have been teaching my DGD how to use the Sizzix, she loves it. LOL

Ok. I know I went missing in action for the summer, so I am sorry. However, if there are any of you who fizzled out at the end (like me) with summer going on, here is your chance to catch up! I am giving myself one week to re-clean the mess I have made this summer to get back to where I was in May, then I am back on board! ...if I do it alone, that is OK too. I refuse to let my inner Procrastinator (PA Me) win this one! (...if only because my husband was sure that I wouldn't finish when I started). Week 21 was the last week that I posted, so week 22 is where I will pick up. Wish me luck! |
