I just found out that the Sizzix Eclips mats and Roland blades fit Cricuts.
The mats come in 12x12 and the blades in 45 degree are like the regular blades for Cricut and the 60 degree blades are deep cut. You can get these on ebay with free shipping....very nice pricing....and "buy it now" without bidding.
If anyone has tried these....let us hear about it.

Blades work perfectly...both the 45 and 60-degree Roland. I'm still re-sticking older 12x12 mats and haven't had to purchase any for over 2 years now, so I can't speak to the mats. Hopefully someone else can.
I get Roland blades from an eBayer in China. They're *far* cheaper than the Cricut blades I can buy here. The cost is 5x60degree for $9, free shipping. I can mix blade angles in the order if I want, too. I usually buy a couple packs at a time. I think they may be knock-off Roland blades, since the description says "fits all Roland machines" not "these are Roland blades," but they work great.
I restick my mats, so those haven't been much of an expense at all. Will buy Sizzix mats in the future when I need them. I Sizzix! They have awesome products and fabulous customer service.
