anyone know of an online source that carries the small fish netting? the "squares" are about 1/2" on this stuff.

Check places that sell ribbon--craft stores, etc. I've seen it come in rolls. |

Honestly is looks like the netting we used to replace on our landing tackle. You might have better luck browsing a bait/tackle shop or something like Harbor Freight.
Also, you could see if customer service HERE could point you in the right direction.
I've also seen it in Ms Arts and Crafts by the fountain and gardening stuff. I'm pretty sure they sell the stuff by U.S Shell .

Looks like the kind I just picked up at M's. It was on an endcap with shells and sand near the vases.

I've picked it up at Michael's a few times too. They carry it around summertime with all the shells & starfish. I'm going to look when I go to Ms this weekend. |

thanks guys!
Jen yes it looks like bait bag we used in crab pots but most places have gone to stocking the bait boxes/cages around here so I haven't seen one in a while.
thanks for the *specific* suggestion about M's I will call them and see if they have a similar end cap set in their floor plan
I did find some on Amazon. got the idea to look for floral supplies so if it is not what I can use I will try M's.

thanks I have used that too in the past but it is a totally different look IMO. plus I'm not just looking to it for scrapbooking at this moment. my bathroom has a beachy mermaid theme and I wanted some pieces for projects in there too. the plastic fishnet would look cheapy since I have a lot of natural rope in there already. |

Another suggestion is to check party supply stores in the Hawaiian theme or beach theme areas. I bought tons of it there. (and threw it away after thenparty or I'd send it to you!)

This is a UK source but scroll down and look at the natural color one. It looks much finer than the top photo.

Etsy has a group called "Breakingbarriers" that makes exactly what you are looking for. It is small fish netting with sea creatures inside. They are on vacation, but will return.
