Ok so I have been wanting to for awhile and after watching the latest of Nicole's videos on her blog I decided it's finally time to try the spray mists. Which do I get? What say the peas? Thanks

definitely studio calico! I have 27 bottles of Tattered Angels and about 10 have clogged misters that I have tried just about everything to unclog them. TA has not responded to my concerns so I'd steer clear of that brand.

I agree - Studio Calico has the best mist. It doesn't warp your paper either.

|Posted: 1/8/2012 7:46:22 PM|Studio Calico. They work nicely! I try to add one on to my orders when I do not order too much add on paper )

i really like studio calico white right now
|Posted: 1/9/2012 3:53:21 AM|I used to use Tattered Angels, but most all my bottles got clogged. (I would not buy them again) I tried Rangers Perfect Pearls mists and fell in love. I have never had one bottle clog and they dry fast too.

I LOVE Lindy Stamp Gang, by far the best in my opinion. I have tried TA, Mister Huey, Perfect Pearls, Smooch, and Maya Mist. I love the instant shimmer and it dries fast.

|Posted: 1/9/2012 12:52:45 PM|Another Studio Calico Mist fan here! I bought a ton of TA mist when it first came out and have been severely regretting it. I've been trying to buy replacement nozzles for all of them that are clogged. I've had my Mister Huey's since August and no troubles at all. I also love the Perfect Pearls Mist. they have so many pretty colors.

I have 6 bottles of the Tattered Angels and never had a problem with them. Considering I bought with coupons it was worth it to try them and see if I even liked them enough to get anymore. Come to find out I really don't think misting is all that. I don't use them often as I don't like to 'color' my pages. I found the best use for them is to paint chipboard. I also have 2 bottles of the Perfect Pearls. I use them more often as I like the shine the offer without the color. They are great on fabric flowers.

I like to make my own glimmermist with perfect pearls and distress reinkers. I never used the studio calico ones, so next time I am going to try these.

Absolutely love my Tattered Mists and have always had amazing customer service. They gave me wonderful ideas for unclogging and sadly most the time it was my fault for not using them right. I tended to not completely push down the plunger and till small bursts and that will clog your nozzle. Oh I was notorious for shaking the crap out of them as well. Learned my lesson there as well. Since then I have had no clogging. Especially with the new reformulated mists. You can also take one of those air cans you clean out a keyboard with and that clears them out as well.

I am a mist girl...love Glimmer Mist and Lindy's stamp gang mists the best. Also love Maya Road mists.
I like Studio Calico and October Afternoon mists but they have no sparkle...and I tend to like shimmer first and foremost.
Why, YES!, I am a princess.

I only have the TA Glimmer Mists so far and so far I like them. Some of mine got clogged too but I just ran the sprayer part under hot water until they unclogged and started spraying again. I just got most of my colors this past fall when 2Peas clearanced a bunch of them out and another place put them on sale. If you're just starting out, I'd get Pearl. I like using my distress inks to color white flowers and then spray with the Pearl. I mostly use mine to color flowers, lace, crochet trim, etc. I haven't tried spraying a background yet.
I'd like to give some of the Studio Calico mists a try.

Just wanted to stop by and let you know that we are truly sorry that you're unhappy.
if you get clogged sprayers you CAN clear the clog.
We have a video that is specifically done on this topic by the owner of Tattered Angels herself.
Please go to Clogged Sprayers and see if that helps.
Thanks and Sorry

Has anyone tried Lindy's Stamp gang mists?? My DH surprised me with a dozen of them in different colours. They're kind of different though as they come with just powder in them and you have to add water to them. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks!

I am head over heels in love with TA Glimmer Mists... they are absolutely amazing... I wish I had every single color ever made. Mine have NEVER gotten clogged. They are just perfect! Try them out, I know you won't be disappointed!

I just finished watching the video on how to unclog misters. I found it interesting how she went through a multitude of reasons on what we could be doing wrong. Talk about taking the joy out of the creative process! As I'm working on a project, I just don't want to spend my brain power on "committing to the mist" and everything else she said. Absolutely no fun! I would have appreciated more of 'this is how you unclog and we're working on a mister redesign.' And does she really think that consumers should spend additional money on an electronic jewelry cleaner (c'mon who has one of those just laying around?) or cans of air and is it even reasonable when we spent good money on TA sprays in the first place? I was just not impressed at all with this video.

Scrapinangelheart I love lindys mists.. just add hot water let them sit a bit...shake them up and go. Great vibrant colors and lots of sparkle. I would say lindys and tattered angels are my favorites. I own many many bottles. Check youtube for ideas for lindys.
I haven't had much problems with tattered angels mists clogging...maybe two of my bottles out of the 30 I own. And mist every time I craft.
|Posted: 1/12/2012 12:30:56 AM|I use Studio Calico Mists a lot, I have a few other random ones like OA and some glimmer mists. The SC ones are way better than older ones I had. I have had a little bit of clogging but it seems to be fine after a few shakes usually.
Fave colors and must haves: calico shine, white or cream, piglet or cameo and sunshine, plus one blue one too. I loved pony, but it's gone now. I end up using them alot. Just stick my paper in an old two peas box and mist away!

I love Rangers perfect pearls mist. My favorites are perfect pearl and sunflower. I also love making my own mists with ranger reinkers and perfect pearls.
|Posted: 1/14/2012 2:23:02 PM|Does anyone have any ideas for keeping the Studio Calico White from rubbing off?? I have heard of others having this problem, and after the first time I used it when I went back to look at the page in my album a lot of the white had smeared onto the page protector. I thought I had left it out to dry for a reasonable amount of time (???). Does anyone know if heat-setting it would help? I LOVE the way it looks but it's sort of ruined when it's all over the page protector!
