shy of my Dad helping me cut the plywood drawer fronts/ends, I built this on my own!
Apothercary blog post
UPDATE***********************************
Someone asked on Page two about premade boxes. just wanted to put it at the top because I know many of you are wondering the same thing (as did I, which is why I have all this info )
I wonder if may be there is some type of already made container that would fit in each cubby? Certainly not as cute as what you did and would not be as inexpensive as your DIY project.
What are the dimensions of your 'drawers', if you don't mind sharing?
I will add the sizes to my blog too but the overall exterior size of the drawers is 11.5" deep (long) X 5 3/4" tall X 4 3/8" wide.
A friend of mine is using some Cardboard sorting bins inside her cabinets to keep things organized. I checked the pricing and smallest size on them and they are about 1/2" too long for the cubby space. they are also only available by 100 qty and are $75. so if you have a friend to share them with and were each doing two 25 hole cabinets you would be set.
with them hanging out 1/2" I think it would still look OK since they will all still be flush (see image below, they hang out about 1/2" too).
these are not as deep as my drawers though and especially not since the front slopes down. they would do the job I think if you really can't swing making them. could probably look cute even if you did something like this with them.

I have some drawers like those ones you show at the very bottom. I never got around to making a cabinet for them. I'm not sure if my MIL still has them at her house or she got rid of them. I only have like 6 or 8 though. | |

Heidi, my dear, you are BRILLIANT!!! I don't really need a cabinet like this, but I like it so much, I may have to re-organize my studio to accommodate one. I like your idea of legs/feet and crown moulding, so I would probably make one with only one shoe organizer..........again, absolutely amazing!! |

Shannon, I think 1 cabinet would go by much faster too I won't lie, doing 50 drawers was a lot of work but I am so pleased with it that it was worth it. It has made finding stuff in my scraproom a thousand times easier and I did Tim Tags with little to no mess. In all 4 years I've done them my desk is bombed by day 3.
Oh and for Cricut owners the drawers will hold your booklets nicely! I have quite a few cart booklets and fit them all in one drawer. |
