Easter baskets are a major tradition for my family. Since my youngest granddaughter was 4 I've purchased scrapbook tools for her basket. Her first tool was a medium size Fiskars heart squeeze punch. It was perfect for her little hands.

Subsequently, I've added more punches, this year she is a self proclaimed stamper and I'm putting stamps and ink in her basket...she's nearly 8 now.

Do you add crafty tools to your Easter Baskets?

I haven't but that's a cute idea. My son just turned 2 a couple weeks ago, so he may still be a little young. But I am going to remember this idea for next year. I do include a book and a few toys in his basket, along with candy.

Mine sometimes are themed. One year, my oldest's "basket" was a tackle box filled with little lures and bobbers. I have done that again with my younger two (being they are all almost a decade a part in age). One year for my middle, it was a kids cookbook with her own mixing bowl and rubber scrapers. One year for my youngest, it was a big dump truck from Target filled with other trucks. My kids don't eat the candy. I end up throwing away Easter and Halloween candy. So, I have to get creative every year. And, after doing Easter baskets for almost 25 yrs for my kids, I am stumped. My littlest is 6. I still have a few years to go.
