Generic Tape from TapeDepot or TapeJungle, depending on how many rolls I want and shipping costs.
Tapedepot also sells on ebay, with free shipping on the smaller amounts.

You will want the 7502 (at tape depot), and it probably says reverse wound, which is what the scotch ATG tape is also.

Adding my cheers for Tape Depot. I prefer their refills to the brand name stuff.

I had the same question awhile ago and ordered from the Tape Depot based on the peas recommendations....So far I have only used it to make a card but I like the way the tape rolls and it is pretty sticky.my DD has been making several LO's this week and says it easy to use(sometime the 3m would peel off the page when she would lift the gun up but this doesn't).definitely worth trying for the price..I ordered 48 rolls and got free shipping....HTH

Wow, on average I'll use 2 or 3 rolls (not boxes) in that period of time. At the most, 5 or 6 rolls! How do you go through a roll a day???

You can find both ATG Guns and tape as good as 3M at www.Tapesolutionsinc.com. The TapeLady will send you samples before you buy to make sure you like it and will ship for free for most cases. I buy mine in bulk for me and my friends and then we split it. It is a great way to get the cost down on my double sided tape.

I bought mine at tape depot and have nothing but problems. I can tape more than a few inches without it rolling back on itself. Total pain. The tape doesn't sit flat in my atg gun so the return tape doesn't feed right.

I'll shop back at framingsupplies
