I'm seeing more and more 6" pads. So, what are these tiny papers being used for?

I love them! Every time I decide not to buy a particular pad, I end up regretting it.

I love the reduced size of the prints.
I love that they are 6" and block in perfectly with my 4x6 photos.
I love that I get two of each print.
They ate perfect for punching out shapes from, and cutting up to make embellishments from.
I think because the whole pad feels affordable, and because the papers are already only 6" square, I feel way more relaxed about cutting them up and actually using them. Even though I try to be really good about not hoarding paper and using it up, I still have a hard time punching out a small shape or cutting a small piece from a full 12x12 sheet.

I, too, love the smaller prints. And Allison Davis just rolled out a new class using 6x6 pads!

I just made calendars from the Lost and Found collection by My Mind's Eye Blush and Rosy 6 x 6 pads.

They are also good to make cards.

I have the calendars in my gallery. Here's a pic:

I use them for everything!!! I rarely buy 12x12 paper anymore. I use the 6x6 sheets for layouts, cards, altered art, mixed media, etc. They are awesome--the whole collection very inexpensively!

I layer them as backgrounds for my layouts. I use the smaller elements as embellishments. The possibilities are endless.

I didn't understand the appeal of smaller paper pads until very recently. I prefer 8x8 but 6x6 pads are also great for mini albums and for smaller things like making banners, punching shapes, and layering. I just picked up a Miss Caroline Dolled Up paper pad and I cannot wait to make a mini out of it. The reduced size of the patterns are just too cute - little butterflies, polka dots, and doilies on wood grain, etc. The best part is that I can pick up a 6x6 paper pad for only $3 at HL's 50% off paper sales or with a coupon at Joann's. That would normally only get me 3 sheets of 12x12 paper. An 8x8 pad would be about $5 on sale.

Try it. You'll like it. If not, send your pads to me.

I used to only use them for minis but have been using them on my 12x12 pages more often. A lot of the times, I will also use them in my Cameo to cut embellishments.

Cannot wait to try the 6x6 class for Allison Davis though, it is the next thing on my wish list for purchase!

I use them mostly for cards ... but I also like to use them with my Cameo for cutting shapes like flowers, banners, etc. The print is smaller than on the 12x12 sheets so when you're making something small, I think it looks better - more detailed.

What??? That's unthinkable!!!

Hmmm, I didn't realize till this thread that I need those small sheets. Now, please tell me I can buy one pad and be completely happy without buying a dozen more. Please.

CARDS!!! It allows me to use to more graphic papers that have been popular lately (ie: MME "Follow Your Heart", etc...) because they are sized down and the graphics are not so large!

i also have an addition to 6x6 when a collection comes out i buy first the 6x6 pad and the other embellies and when i get the pad then i order the 12x12 that i really love and i also do a lot of mini albums and altered items and the 6x6 paper is best because of the scale of the design and i tend to hoard the 12x12 because i don't want to cut and mess up the design and i hardly ever do a lay out with the whole PP 12x12 i tend to use a solid card stock then use the PP to accent.... i just purchase the Allison Davis class so i'm looking forward to learn more uses to my 6X6 which i have a pretty big collection... and also starting to use them for my DIY PL cards kits..

Oh, heavens no, we can't tell you that. But we can tell you that the purchase of one leads to the purchase of another so clear some space on a shelf for your new collection.

I have bought a couple here and there but really wasn't sure what to do with them until this morning when I purchased the Allison Davis class. I have already used one of the layout sketches and used up 3 6x6 sheets. And I am loving using the 6x6 sheets to do a 12x12 layout. I don't use patterned paper for backgrounds just solid cardstock or craft and find it difficult to cut up a whole 12x12 PP and get the look I want and now I can just use the 6x6 PP and it's great! Now I can't wait to get more 6x6 pads!

I love them on my layouts, for cards and inside the button frames I make to sell

They work great in PL or P365 type albums too because the prints are smaller
Sometimes it's really nice to have those fabulous patterns small.

So true. I have built up quite a stash of 6x6 (or 8x8) pads. I love them. They are reasonably priced, most of the ones I buy are double sided, and they are perfect for die cutting with my Cameo. If I need a few small die cuts, I wouldn't even consider cutting into a 12x12 sheet of paper whereas I don't give a second thought in cutting up a 6x6 piece. I absolutely love them AND they are actually a scrappy item that gets used!

I love to use them for making cards. It is so much easier to make cards using coordinating papers from a 6x6 pad.

My usual approach to a page, the base is cardstock, either a solid piece or printed. I usually mat my photos, the 6 X 6 pads are great for this, if I am not using a sheet to mat a photo, I can use it as an accent element.

Very flexible!

I use them for PL, cards and 12x12 layouts (backgrounds, frame photos, embellishments/die cuts). I also love the smaller scale prints and that it's a more affordable option to get all the papers in a collection. I now usually end up getting a couple pieces of 12x12 and the 6x6 pad if I like a collection.

I love them for cards and mini albums, because of the scaled down size of the prints they are perfect!
They are also great for die cuts and punched peices too! I have quite a collection at the moment, I usually buy the 6X6 pad of any paper collection I love!!! which means I have a few of them...

Bon
