It's easier for me to use brighter, simpler PP when scrapping everyday things with my family. More primary colors than girly colors. The trend of washed out, modern looking papers just doesn't work for me.

I'm also looking for papers that work well with outdoor pictures. Greens, blues, and browns. I don't mind them being a bit more distressed, but not so...faded looking.

I'm sure there is ways to make this new trend work, but I am not creative. I'm more of a just get it done and have a little bit of fun than try a technique or incorporate the latest embellishment.

With recent deaths of people I know who were way too young, I'm more focused on getting memories recorded.

I know there is Echo Park. Any other suggestions?

I'm not a paper snob at all. I admit to having too many themed papers (especially Halloween and Christmas). I need EVERYDAY papers.

Any suggestions? I do scrap 8.5x11. So papers with a B side work great for me.

Do you have any local stores that sell paper? The BEST way is to look things over yourself! Everyone will have a different opinion!

That said, I also am not a fan of the current faded trend, and love bright, primary colors myself with less distressing.

How about Doodlebug? Or some Little Yellow Bicycle (LOVE their 'Hello Spring'). Amy Tangerine's 'Sketchbook' line is one of my all-time favorites, even though it has some you might consider more girly - I have all boys and still use it all the time!

For greens, blues, and browns, some of Simple Stories 'Take a Hike' might work, at least the basic paper pack. And I use a lot of cardstock - usually no distressing there!

Fancy Pants "Little Sport" is sports themed on one side, but the B sides have great patterns in great outdoorsy colors. I LOVE that line.

I'm with you. I'm have 3 kids ages 7 and under, and I am not feeling the distressed or vintage stuff at ALL. I've been disappointed with most if the stuff that has come out this year.

Imaginisce usually also has good colors, too.

I don't care too much for the distressed stuff either! October Afternoon is probably one of my favorites, especially the B sides. I also love American Crafts. They have great lines with great colors.

How is Jillibean Soup? Distressed or not?

There's more of a kraft or cream than white undertone to Jillibean, but I don't think they're too distressed. I like them, anyway! They have some B sides to die for - green with tiny white dots, blue with white stars, etc.

Thanks! I am okay with the with a lighter distressing. Just tired of the dirty brown. It doesn't match every mood, KWIM?

Check out Fancy Pants The Good Life, I've used it a ton since buying it.

Most things by Bella Blvd would work, also most Pebbles.

I'm using a lot of OA Woodland Park right now. The line is not as cream based as OA normally is and the blues and greens are easy to work with especially the B sides of the papers.

Studio Calico also has a lot of clean lines. I'm obsessed with maps, so one of my favorite lines is Abroad. Basic Grey - especially older lines like Urban Prairie - is sometimes "scratchy," but the patterns are white based, which helps clean things up. I use a lot of basic papers - I love the dots & stripes lines from EP (I know they were already mentioned).

Thank you for all your responses! My closest LSS/photography developer has a limited selection of products. I'll have to drive 20 miles to the other one to see what they sell.

I looked in the shopping at two peas and there were over 4000 papers! It quickly became overwhelming.

Doodlebug had NO DISTRESSING WHATSOEVER! This is why I love them so much!

Bella Blvd. is another one who comes to mind.
