got a vintage turqoise typewriter in INCREDIBLE condition for $10. I *almost* purchased an older, larger typewriter, but it was in very poor condition, lots and lots of rust, SUPER HEAVY but I couldn't bring the guy lower than $40 so I had to skip
and I also got a CM circle cutter set...brand new, with cutting mat for $5 and lots of googly eyes, and decorative edge scissors for my little one for $1
what about you gals? What did you acquire over the weekend?

How cool! I have been checking Goodwill for a typewriter. I found one, but it didn't work! |

Awesome find, the pink and turquoise ones are my favourite
I am always on the look out for crafty stuff at my local thrift stores and whenever I manage to get to a garage sale but I have not really had all that much luck, I have a feeling that sort of stuff goes really quickly.
I did manage to get a pile of paper a few months ago for $1 and it was filled with some seriously old paper, lots of Chatterbox which was really nice but apart from that all I manage to find is seriously out of date stickers and cheap wood mounted stamps. |

I didn't find anything scrappy this weekend. It sounds like you found a great deal. It seems like so many are looking for typewriters lately. Enjoy your great find.

Awesome find! I have a turquoise typewriter, too, love it.
No scrappy shopping for me this weekend. It was Thanksgiving, so I spent the weekend with family. |

I found a Making Memories desktop organizer (the one that turns) at a charity shop for a few bucks. It needs some TLC but I'm very excited to have it. I have had the Michael's brand desktop organizer on my wish list for years and it just kept getting ignored for other things lol

The only scrappy find for me was this chandelier for my new scraproom. I traded rooms with my sons and had to downsize a bit. In my new room I wanted to find a pretty chandelier and found this one at my fav vintage/antique store, Summer Cottage in Petaluma CA.
It is so sparkly! ETA: Sorry pic is so big!!!!!

That's great! Crafty deals/steals are the best.
I picked up a typewriter this weekend too! I found a blue Brother Charger 11C at a flea market for $25. He had 2 others, but I went with the smallest since space is an issue. I'm just waiting for new ribbon to arrive on Wednesday. |

I found an old metal pharmacy cabinet at an estate sale for $10. They had a drug store in the 60s/70s...I painted it teal.
I love vintage items.

Wow! Great deals! I love the chandelier and the turquoise typewriter sounds too cute.
I went on a HL road trip this weekend (my second time in a HL ever) & picked up several paper pads at 50% off: AC Dear Lizzy Neapolitan and Crate Paper Storyteller + Echo Park This & That Charming & Graceful.
I know I'm late to the party on these lines, but I recently got back into making layouts & so I am picking up papers I missed the first time around. |

Janet, love the stamps! And a great price, HA wanted $13!
I would love to find an old typewriter also! Lucky finds for you girls! And turquoise would be a perfect color! I have a red, black and cream room, and just a few "pops" of turquoise. I son't have room for it, but if I found one, I sure would make room! |

Great finds everyone. I bought 2 CD holders. I am putting all my clear stamps in CD cases so this is the way to go for me. I also got 2 of the same shelves that have all the little compartments in them. I am filling one with buttons and such the other will will be all my Tim Holtz embellishments.

Darn I missed out on a super score. I stopped at a Youth group rummage sale and they had 5 typewriters!!!! 3 brownish and 2 turquoise, one of the turquoise had all the ribbon pulled out but they said they all worked. They were begging me to take them for free even because it was around 1pm or so and they wanted to pack up the leftovers. But I literally had no use and my husband would kill me if I brought home more stuff.

I found one for 9.99 (no one had bid yet) and to satisfy my crazy, I put I bid up to $10.51 -then went off to my business. i just won! of course I have to pay $27 in shipping but it is a beauty. You guys are like ants in my pants. All i know is I am not even going to look in the chandelier section! |
