I'm just now hearing about these.....not sure what they are or how they work.

I'm headed off to their web-site, but thought I'd come to the all mighty PEAS and ask them.

Anyone want to enlighten me? Are they really fabulous or just a passing fad? Do they make all of your pages look the same?

Kim, I would definitely go to their website and watch the video. It's explains it in great detail.

I think it may be a good thing for beginners, but a fad for the advanced scrapper.

You can accomplish the same thing without the templates, although they do make faster work of it.

I recently got a bendable ruler and can use it to fashion some very similar wavy edges.

I like the concept, but I don't see a need for the templates. For the borders the bendable ruler will work. For anything else I would use my Cricut. The small shapes are no different from the plastic templates when I started scrapping in 1996. I did not like cutting circles and ovals by hand back then, and I don't want to start again now. I have an old bunch of Coluzzle shapes that i bought in about 2001 which are just like their little accessory shapes. The idea was not having to cut out by hand.

But, I can see how the system works very nicely and I like their pages. I just have plenty of templates already for shapes, not to mention a Cricut with SCAL and those Coluzzle templates.

I'm actually in the process of making a few of my own with my Makes The Cut program and my Cricut. I can't see spending the money on those. I like the idea, but think I would use it that often.

I am an advanced scrapper that uses the templates...just got them in June. Totally re-energized my scrapbooking. It is not just for beginners and it is WAY faster than using your die cutting machine (I have numerous machines and I have clocked myself).

The templates are worth every cent in how they have helped me scrap more (and faster) and I am using up my paper stash.

You pages will only look the same if you make them look the same. You can be as creative as you want to be with these.

Check out these other recent threads if you want some feedback from actual users. There are pictures in the thread of pages made with the templates.

My time is extremely short these days. I have a Cameo. I love the machine and I do use it but I have to say...it is a PITA when you are on a time frame. Searching for shapes over so many pages and pages of the same theme takes forever to find the one you want. The templates are so much faster, the layering is beautiful, the concept is simple yet elegant.

I also think I would like taking them to a crop. My family prefers the templates over other layouts I have done. I tried to make my own shapes on the Cameo similar to the ones at Kiwi. Some are relatively easy to produce, others are not. As far as the circles and ovals, I don't own those. I can make my own circles and ovals if I have to. I purchased the photo templates because sometimes I just make a layout for the fun of making it and add pics later, so I need the templates for placement. I have bought most of the borders and love to visualize the final product with layers. I've also bought the Holiday, Florals and Nature sets in both large and small for layering. When I use the Holiday sets, I add to the shape with Washi or ribbon on an ornament, stickles on the tree to look like ornaments and garland--all this stuff just jazzes it up. I mix in embellishments from my stash and kits. It's a win-win situation with me.

Before casting it off, I would take a look at their gallery. It is absolutely beautiful!

Oh, I also wanted to add...I've grown tired of my layouts. I'm tired of everything squared, or 8"circles, strips, or whatever the current "trend" may be. After a while, it all starts to feel the same, even layering embellishments and following a diagonal on a page to make it eye appealing. I'm just tired of doing all the same stuff and trying to make my pages look unique.

Using the templates, although considered "old" and "outdated" has refreshed my pages. I have never done pages like this, so to me, it's a refreshing take on an old technique. I'm loving using up some stash, especially patterned paper! I'm sure someday I'll be tired of it just like everything else, but for now, I'm LOVING it!

Oh yes crops. Packing for crops is a breeze now with the templates. A few basic supplies, templates, and paper and I am ready to go!
