I use Blogger for 2 different blogs (one personal and one not). Now when I try to add photos it is saying I am full and need to upgrade.
Does anyone know of any other options I have?
I could delete the photos from my albums, but then wouldn't it delete them from my blog? (Which I do not want.)
Help! LOL
Thanks for any ideas you have! |

Did you resize your pictures when you uploaded them so the file sizes would be smaller? It's usually not a number of uploads but a maximum allotment of storage space that websites give you. BTW - it's not just the pixel size - it's the file size, so when you save, you want to save at a lower quality for the web so it uses less bytes.
Another option is to use free sites like photobucket and imbed the photos into your posts with html code. |

Thanks for your suggestions. I have TOO many photos to resize them all right now, but can start the imbedding thing in the meantime to help me be able to post.

I use photobucket and link to my photos there. I think the only pics I have hosted at blogger are my headers and profile pics. |

I shrink my photos so the largest dimension is 800 pixels - some I even do at 600 pixels. At 100% viewing size, it's still pretty big (to me) but the file size is a lot smaller.
Here's what I found on the web about storage for Picasa (which is wehre my Blogger photos go):
Free Storage Limits
Free storage limits
PicasaWeb Albums offers 1 GB of free storage for photos and videos. However, files under certain size limits don't count towards this free storage limit. This applies to uploads for other Google products that store photos and videos in PicasaWeb Albums, including Blogger and Google Maps.
The free storage sizes are good for sharing photos on the web, but if you prefer to upload your images in a larger size for better quality (archival or print), you can buy more storage at any time. Learn more
If you've signed up for Google+
Free storage limits
Photos up to 2048x2048 pixels and videos up to 15 minutes won't count towards your free storage.
Automatic resizing
All photos uploaded in Google+ will be automatically resized to 2048 pixels (on their longest edge) and won't count towards your free storage quota.
All photos uploaded to PicasaWeb Albums over the free size limit will count towards your 1 GB of free storage. When you reach your storage limit, any new photos that you upload to PicasaWeb which are larger than the free size limit will be automatically resized to 2048 pixels (on their longest edge).
If you haven't signed up for Google+
Free storage limits
Photos up to 800x800 pixels and videos up to 15 minutes won't count towards your free storage.
Automatic resizing
All photos uploaded which are over the free size limit will count towards your 1 GB of free storage. When you reach your storage limit, any new photos that you upload to PicasaWeb which are larger than the free size limit will be automatically resized to 800 pixels (on their longest edge).
Alternatively, I have wondered if you uploaded to Two Peas and then used the "insert photo >>> from URL" in your blog post if that would work. |
