I'm really in the mood to scrapbook and the first 3 layouts I do I really love but then on the next one I get completely stumped and it takes me forever to figure out what I want to do with it and then I don't even really like it. Does this ever happen to you? |

I'm lucky to get one done. I just joined that sketches monthly kit club and hope that helps me get out of the slump I'm in.

I am actually the exact opposite! It takes me forever to get going on my first lo, but when I finally do, the ideas keep flowing for several more. It's like I have to get over the hurdle first, and then I'm fine. I do find that the layouts I slaved over are usually the ones I like best though, because I spent more time moving things around and trying to make sure everything works.

It happens to me a lot. I am working well and am on a roll and then I get stuck. Sometimes I put it aside and start something else and go back to it later. |

That's rare for me because I don't generally sit and create three layouts in a row. When it does happen I have to take a scrappy break and wait for the mood to hit me again. |

I would love to get two layouts done in one day, let alone be on my fourth! That's crazy awesome that you got that far!
But as far as being on a roll and then getting totally stumped, I get it - I've DEFINITELY been there!
When I get stumped, I usually just find a layout that someone else has made, that I love, and start trying to recreate it. In most cases, it never ends up the same as the "inspiration piece" but it totally does the trick in helping you move through!
Good luck! |

Happens to me the other day...
I'm guessing when I start to feel stuck to take a break |

I'm not the kind of person who takes longer than 30 or 40 minutes to do one layout usually so that helps in getting things done lol however lately they have been taking longer. When my kids were smaller I couldn't get more than about 2 done at once but my kids are older now so they have either ditched me for friends or like today one ditched me and one came home from college bearing gifts aka laundry lol. He spent the afternoon playing Xbox and I scrapbooked. Of course we are in the same big family room so we still got to visit all afternoon which was nice. I ended up finishing 5 layouts and then decided I needed a break and am now reading game of thrones and watching my son play Xbox. Oh and of course laundry heehee |

It never happens to me like that, but only because I'm an anal preplanner. I almost always have a sketch and a color scheme in mind before I do anything. I have, however, been known to decide that layouts I had moved on from needed a little something more, once I figured out what that "somethin more" was. |

I actually finished 4 layouts and my October project life is done. Of course I don't do a weekly project life just a monthly one and October was a bad month as far as remembering to get pictures lol so it was just two pages so a pretty productive day after all but I may go back and add things later haha |

I have this by days, actually. Yesterday I was colouring and cardmaking like crazy. Got four VERY large "cards" (they can still be called cards, I guess) done and was blissfully happy until 2am when it was time for bed.
Today? I've been staring at the same 4.5" image, colouring a part of coat, a strand of hair, a bit of boot, ALL. DAY! |
