Yes, we have talked about her before, BUT that MercyTiara can do wonders with a ruler & scissors!

I sub to her Youtube channel and just love watching her process videos. I have tried the stacking of layers and the use of tags before and mine just never look like hers and it takes immense effort on my part for her "Oh I like this so there you placement monster!" attitude!

But I guess it is a brand new day to me and I need some inspiration so I was watching process today and she just cut the paper willy-nilly and then she just threw the ruler and ripped it Who does that?!?!? I mean, doesn't everyone agonize over the straight cutting line anymore? Don't we complain about not finding the perfect trimmer?

So I have decided to take some stress off of myself and the next LO I do(Well not the exact next. That one is my DS induction to Beta club, who we thought would never see that induction) BUT the NEXT one after that I will not measure, use a trimmer or worry about perfection. I think that has been holding me back. My stuff will never be published(except here in the gallery) and once it goes in an album, I don't that it will get looked at again except by me.

So who is with me? Let's do this! Loud and proud!! A challenge of some sort? Where is Janet(cherrypicker) when you need her??

Just in case you want to see this curiosity Untitled LO

I agree with you Naby64! I too love watching her videos, and it just amazes me how she can pick up the scissors and cut away without measuring and cuts what appears to perfect lines everytime! I definitely have a little "paper trimming" envy going on!

I have such a crush on her! SOOOOO love her work.

I'm dying to get in my studio.....but I'm stuck in bed.

Was diagnosed with a DVT (blood clot in leg) last week so I'm in bed with leg propped up and giving myself shots in the belly of a blood thinner. Wish I knew how to scrap in bed while flat on my back. LOL

Oh, No Kim!! Hope this time passes quickly and safely for you. Maybe SDevin will come on. It seems she had quite a stretch of bed rest and was thinking about scrapping while laying. Maybe she can give words of advice.

I watched this video the other day and was then inspired to rip into my newest SC kit and just layer up a layout. Between her and Shimelle, I've been really inspired to scrap this weekend!

I came up with this layout..... HERE

Oh nostalgia.....I remember tearing of yore! I loved the technique and it went out of fashion for a while.....until now. I used it on a much layered layout and loved it. I will use this technique again that is for sure. I love the scrapping with wild abandon and it is the lined up stuff that causes me angst. Hurray!

Love her videos and she thinks about her scrapbooking process. Love how she can grab a sheet tear it and go and is happy at the end. Heck I am happy at the end. I subbed to her channel at month or so ago after reading about here and have been loving it ever since. I even went out and grabbed up all the basic grey serendipity line because I loved how she used it. I even find myself outlining (totally new) and I LOVE it. Thanks for that. I look forward to watching her videos and honestly wish she could make more. I think I am almost done watching them all. Lol. Great inspiration and fun to watch.

I wish I could think like she does. She seems to almost picture most of the layout before she starts and my mind just doesn't work that way. I love watching the videos though. I've been subscribed to her channel but keep forgetting to watch.

She does rock her layouts, doesn't she. I agree with the poster that wants more videos. I am almost done watching them all, too. Mercy does have more on her blog I think.

Here is another scrapper that is like MercyTiara. If you need something else to do. Hahaha!

Oh my goodness, you guys, reading this thread made me blush AND giggle, especially Naby's original post! Even though I've been doing these videos for awhile now (I think I'm nearing my 100th process video!! ) it still surprises me that people even want to watch them, let alone saying all these nice things that make me feel like the cat's meow! (little nod to Maya there)

Trust me, more than half the time I don't really know what I'm doing until I'm doing it, and many of my layouts I don't even like that much. But I try not to think too much about whether I like it or not, because I scrap mostly for the process. I figure if the photo is printed and in some kind of an album for someone someday to look at, even if it's totally and completely ugly, then that's better than a great photo being lost amoungst a million mediocre pics on my computer.

I have to say that I really appreciate all that you guys do to inspire me to scrap. Like most people, I sometimes look at what I do and think it sucks, and then I get comments on my videos or I stumble across a thread like this, and it reminds me that we're all just scrapbookers, and your layouts don't have to look like they belong in a magazine to be enjoyed. Thank goodness for that, eh?

Confession: I'm no rogue scrapper, I'm just too lazy half the time to reach for my trimmer.

you guys!

I don't know how to reply to a specific post, but this one is to Nanna2Five:

I'm sorry my videos make you dizzy (I know how you feel). I speed them up so they will be shorter and easier/less boring to watch, and so the file will be smaller. It doesn't take me too long to make the videos, but the converting and posting process takes hours and hours (even with FibreOp internet). If Santa brings me a new computer, I might have more options, but for now I need to speed them up quite a bit. My blog always has still photos and a bit of explanation for each of my layouts, although they are often posted a few days after the video goes live. Thanks for watching anyways!

Wow - she's amazing!! And where have I been cause I've never seen her videos before.

How incredible she just grabs her scissors and bam.....cuts the paper. And that ruler trick! I've never seen anyone do that while scrapbooking. And her layout is AMAZING!! I love all that layering she does.

Now I have lots of videos to watch. Does she have a gallery somewhere? And does she ever use more than one photo on a page? I would love to see that!

Thanks Renee for posting this!

I love this! I keep seeing all the cluster/flair LOs and thinking "I have no idea how you even do that." this helps!

I think I stopped making layouts around the time that colorblocking lost its luster. Man, did I rock the color block.

This is the first time I discovered these videos. I love them! I really like that they are speeded up and move along quickly. I like to get the most out of my video watching time, and the narration is so good, it is easy to follow along. Secondly, I really love the cat sitting on the corner of the cutting mat- I wasn't sure if it was real at first, then it got up and moved away.

They made me feel like I am not making life or death decisions, it's just paper and it will be beautiful. And Tracy. thank you for making the videos!

This made me chuckle...

Her cat is so pretty, even though you don't see it for long. Also, Aurorainabag (you tube channel linked in a post above) also has a beautiful cat that occasionally hops on her table. My cats aren't quite so behaved when they get on my desk. They try to steal/eat/play with my scrap stuff.

I've been watching her videos for quite awhile, saw a 2peas thread about her months ago and have been a fan ever since. I'm on her email list and just watched the Halloween layout video and then came to 2Peas and found this thread! I watch her create her layouts and I ask myself, "Self, why can't you scrap like that?" Sigh...it seems to come so naturally to her and I agonize over straight lines and even margins, drives me nuts.

Tracy, I love your work and watch every video you post! Thanks so much for sharing your process with us

I came across one of her videos a few months ago and was just amazed at the random cutting and tearing. Love it! Seriously, that is the way it should be! Back in the day I would sometimes actually measure my mats and pics to make sure they were completely straight! Um no!

Oh yes....Tracy is my latest girl crush! Love her and her videos I am simply amazed at how she can use up a kit and make beautiful layouts. I have to giggle whenever her kitty comes into the videos, it's so cute!

I was at my annual scrap retreat this past weekend, and I tried to incorporate some of her techniques. I will try to post some pics later on this week.
