I'm sure I'm very late to be just now catching on to this smash book stuff! ....and I love it! After learning about it on Pinterest last week, I went and bought 2 books and some smash supplies. I am using one book as a "Pinterest on paper" book full of my pins and boards and a collection of things I like. My other is a crafting smash book that has some of my soap recipes, jewelry ideas, craft ideas, Christmas ideas and card ideas. Does anyone still smash or am I too late? How many books do you have? And do you still refer or go to them ?

I love my Smashbook! I made one instead of buying one and use it for my scrapbook bits. The tips, techniques, things to try, layouts and shopping lists. It keeps everything in one place.

I Bought one in July, but haven't used it yet. Those are great ideas! I never really thought of a pinterest book.

I'm new, too! I started one today, actually! This will be interesting to see what ends up in it! I'm doing mine over complete randomness! Anything I'm thinking or feeling or loving at the moment that i want to remember, but not scrap is going in it. If it fills up quickly I will start a new one. I'm in a major scrapping rut, so we will see if this helps.

I have one with my favorite Pinterest quotes and ideas. I also add random magazine ads, cards from friends, etc. Basically just my book of Happy Things! Enjoy -- it's very freeing!

Thanks for posting! I'm going to dive in today. I have the supplies, just haven't smashed anything yet. I'm a saver and I have lots of ticket stubs and "stuff", often with no pictures. Hope this gets the "stuff" off my counter top and desk. It's going to be a stretch out of my comfort zone to smash things non-chronologically, but I'm gonna do it. If I wait till I gather everything and put it in order, I will never start.

I'm really starting to love the organized chaos and randomness of my smash book! I love that it doesn't all have to be planned out. I just throw it in there and where ever it lands is where it stays! This is so addictive!

Yes, it is addictive. I have three smash books (blue, pink, green). The blue one contains all my scrapbook stuff - ideas, re-organizational plans, page sketches, paper crafting projects, etc. I even have a two-pager dedicated to why I scrapbook! The pink book is dedicated to favorite sayings, scriptures, quotes and neat clippings/pictures that I find in mags or on the internet that I want to keep but don't really have a place for - it all goes into my pink smash. The green smash book is reserved for vacation/trip/outing photos and memorabilia. Our favorite places to go are to the beach and the mountains and the green book seemed more geared toward that than the yellow book (travel smash). As a person who loves all types of journals and scrapbooks, smash books are right up my alley! Enjoy!

I have one that I keep the tags and notes as well as photos from my garden and just bought one to take to Disneyland, that way I can journal while in line and go back and add photos.
